  1. New critical damage

just to set this straight, check this thread In it, you will see that people actually quite eagerly go over the NPC price, this isn´t the first thread in it´s kind either.
  2. YARR bagjumpers

I guess I'd have to disagree on that. It rather depends on whether you define "noob" in terms of 'experience of', or 'approach to' matters of game-play. I'd suggest it's possible that the writer of that post had in mind the latter, if only on grounds that the approach to the game of YARR seems deliberately more focused on disrupting than contributing to the game. If the object of their activities is the accumulation of gc, then so be it. Individuals may not like being robbed, but there's no denying the sense of risk (and hence fun) that it creates for others if the challenge is worthwhile, eg Newhope. However, dispensing with all elements of stealth, surprise, and just about everything else that you'd think was an essential for any effective pirate enterprise, removes any meaningful sense of challenge to anyone except the very new, or the very careless. Consequently all you're left with is the impression that YARR are either complete and utter dumb-asses, or a particularly woeful example of failed bad-ass wannabees. Either way, here's hoping 'the penny will finally drop' and they'll take up a new hobby more suited to their intelligence and abilities; like golf perhaps? A noob would be someone who seems to be clueless.. Those guys seem to know the game and it's mechanics a hell of a lot better than many others, and manage to do it with a sense of humor too (come on.. using the 'jump' emote when they're on the bag is quite teh funny). I think the word you're really wanting to use is 'asshole' for taking stuff that, in your opinion is not rightfully theirs. But see, the thing is: game rules clearly state that a bag has no owner. You can ASSUME ownership, and others generally might even respect your assumption. But once you leave the bag, it's free to take for whoever wants it, and there's no game rule against it. Just because you don't identify with their style of gameplay doesn't make THEM noobs. You not understanding that some people enjoy the game better 'dispensing with all elements of stealth, surprise, and just about everything else that you'd think was an essential for any effective pirate enterprise', however, and that that does not make them 'scum' or 'noob', says a lot more about you, than about YARR members or anyone else. Merry christmas
  3. YARR bagjumpers

The people in YARR are far from being 'newbies' to the game, and they aren't noobs either. If they're 'stalking' people in TD, that's doing exactly what TD was made for: to PK (shocker to find out it's sole purpose isn't to hax mix or level magic skill without cooldown huh?). As for 'bagjumping': if you want the comfort of working near the harvestable, you can't expect it to be risk free. Is it annoying if you've just been harvesting for hours or days and see your stuff get poofed by someone else? Sure. But it's also dumb. We have mules. We have skull keys. And we have storages. Use them ^^. Only difference between YARR and at the people who hunt for hyperbags in total secrecy is exactly that: they aren´t secretive about it. Wanna be 'safe'? I'm sure you can pay them for immunity, or else do like others and just haul your stuff to storage.
  4. **Generation X**Harvesting** - the 3rd Degree

    5 x 10k Blue quartz please Dilly
  5. broding

True Agreed here too. What I've always asked myself though, is if NOT having Brod would actually benefit 'the economy'. There are quite a few people who decided to no longer set foot in PK, basically only because of the chance to get hit with Brod. With the high end gear that's needed these days for Joe Average to even stand a chance to last longer than a minute against the people that have either trained for 5+ hours a day for a few years, or who have purchased their levels, or have purchased their gear with USD injections. A player who choses to keep EL free to play and who is unable to spend a lot of time making gc ingame simply can't afford to get their hard earned dragon armor degraded on purpose by someone else. Of course there are the 'hardcore PK lovers' who will still go and who don't care about it, but I'm fairly certain PK could be appreciated by a larger crowd if the brod was not an issue. A larger crowd that might get so enthousiastic that they would be more driven to level up, use more essies, use more SRs and also PK pots, they would also need to invest in some more armor, a wider range of weapons in storage etc. I guess we'll never know
  6. New critical damage

Just out of curiosity: I always figured the uneven chance to break stuff was in line with the apparent uneven chance for someone to find a rare stone while harvesting, or to mix a rare item (some chars seem to be luckier or unluckier with that just as well). Does this change mark the start of more changes to balance the other 'luck' factors out as well?
  7. New critical damage

I'm just reporting my finding, apologies for actually having to maintain a household and working a fulltime job, and not being able to stay up all night to share in your misery, kaddy. For the record: this change will affect EVERYONE, not just the 'fulltime' fighters, although of course it does affect them more. And regardless of what you think: I do understand why you´re all so upset. But you're all up in the stands and threatening to go on strike, and to quit, when clearly Radu IS testing and tweaking, and actually involving you in it. Instead of bashing me for just trying to help ( i can't help it that you don't like my findings), go have a go at the 100s of others that just come on channels to whine about their augs breaking. Go tell THEM to test and report their findings.
  8. New critical damage

regardless of people not being happy with me posting this: killed something like 160 feros on test wearing full titanium, having pretty much a constant 5-8 multi feros on me. My a/d is a bit high for feros, but my toughness is only 24. I swapped swords a bit, and did the last 100 even without wearing my NMT. Nothing broke. That said: I seem to break less stuff than others in game in general, so it would make sense that i notice less of a difference.
  9. It seems easy to forget how much more experience you get from training a/d. Not only do you level 2 skills at the same time (3 if you include magic), also, training sessions are pretty much always profitable (exceptions of course if you have an 'accident', and granted that on some mobs drops are better than on others). Next to that, it seems a very high a/d opens up the possibility to get better gc than anyone from invasions and instances. Resources may be 'readily available' to mixers, but you don't get ingreds for 10k HE in just an hour harvesting. Also, a mixer tends to need to spend a fair amount of pickpoints on nexus. Not everyone can afford to buy 25 or more hydro nexus, and take a guess what kind of characters do the most of that to begin with? If you want to mix high end items in the manufacturing and crafting skills, preparations are long, timeconsuming and in addition, you will still need to be extremely lucky to get special harvestable, or buy them off bots for ever increasing amounts of gc. Then, there's a fair enough risk to crit fail that high end item, and if you're lucky, it will 'just' cost you a saving stone. And then, if all that did not go wrong, you have the honor to try and sell things for so little profit, it's hardly worth mixing these items in the first place. I'm not crying about how sucky things are for mixers, just trying to show you that the grass on our side isn't all as green as you seem to think it is.
  10. Bot payments

You just completed your payment. Your transaction ID for this payment is: 3X946807D98088946. This includes the annual payment for Tina, now owned by myself.
  11. Fighter or Mixer ? :)

after seeing how much exp i lost on OA after all those resets, i stopped calcing my att and def exp amount to 238M, and the rest of my skills add up to about 150M. Still, I'm an allrounder, not a fighter :> Checking ranks on EL page is pretty conclusive too btw
  12. Guess the player name!

    yush! your turn :>
  13. So im a "new" player

Channel 6 spam is not too representative for what PVP is all about, Saxum. It's the excesses that draw most of the attention though. I think if you were to want to get an idea of what pvp can also be, I'm sure there would be people to talk to you ingame about it.

  21. I do not see the use of redtag, or even alliances, unless you're running a large guild that is (partially) active in PK.
  22. it wouldn't solve it, because I think if someone sticks to gamerules, that's all they 'must' do. Carry your personal grudges in your notepad for all I care, I just really don't see the need for this idea to be implemented.
