  1. Hi, today I got the Large Spider quest as my Haidir daily. I went to Serpa in Naralik, she told me to kill 30 Large Spiders, but after only the 21st, the message for the completion of the quest pops up, and continues to do it after each one (like what normally happens when doing a quest). She does accept it at 21 spiders, so either the quest count needs editing or her text does.

  2. I think what you did was a really horrible thing, Fate, but I find it really bold that you were able to admit it (even if you got caught) AND apologize for it. What you did is not acceptable, but perhaps, in time, this incident might be swept under the carpet...

This community is forgiving, but not after multiple screw ups, so BEHAVE yourself. Bashing someone who helps you is completely f'ed up, but if you LEARNED anything, you'll know now that lying (for what EVER reason provoked you into this one) is not going to help you achieve.

    Good luck to you man.

  3. If I may ask... how do you get the drops to display in chat?

Sorry it's off topic... but I was reading... got me curious...

Every creature with 10,000 or more material points "says" its drops in local chat after killed.

Thanks for letting me know :D

  4. I find them rather amusing... I think it's gay that they are "hiding" from their true faces though, lol. BUt we all know they aren't n00bs. I knew this the first day. They are all over @@6... seriously..

But yeah, you can bag mix easily without worry of losing so much, just use your brain. I know multiple people (including myself) that succeed very well, even doing it around YARR.

The thing is, they don't hide their doings, in fact one in particular that I know of will announce it in local very often (to the point where it actually can get annoying, lol). SO... if you don't know the people near you, don't make a bag of value in front of them, seriously, how many times do you have to be told. I am not insulting anyone who does this, but at least take responsibility for it. I mean, don't you lock your doors to your houses if you don't trust the neighborhood? Same thing...

I got BJed ONE time (of extreme value), it only took one time to think of possible ways to not get jumped again. First thing is, don't drop anything you're not willing to "give" away. When I mixed I just drop enough to harvest about 1-5 of the product I am mixing at the mine. If I get jumped, it's not a huge loss (100gc MAX).

Also... I wouldn't hyper in very common areas, I read on @@6 Blackbeard has lots of keys to go searching with.

  5. Hey, I don't know if it's a bug with the patch, but when I went to use the Item List today, it wasn't working properly....

That code is unchanged for several months and I've never seen it behave that way. First of all, you must have storage open and be in range for the feature to work. Also, the first time the feature is used, it has to learn the categories items are held in. Once you have visited all the categories, the fetch of items will be automatic so long as you remain in range of storage and have items available. The learned categories are saved between client restarts so the feature will just work next time. If you are using the feature as expected and it still does not work, please check your error log and post any thing relevant. If the client is going though the learning process each time but works otherwise then you may have an issue with permissions of your config directory or the client is not exiting properly to save its settings.

Thanks for your reply, I have discovered it's likely a lag issue on my side. :) But I will see about the error log idea you posted if it happens again!

  6. Hey, I don't know if it's a bug with the patch, but when I went to use the Item List today, it wasn't working properly. When I went to click on the item(s) I wanted to go from my storage to my bag, it wouldn't "find" the items in my storage, it would just act like I didn't do anything. This was working just perfectly last night, so I don't know if it's a server issue or what.

Anyway, after multiple attempts to get it to work the window closed and gave me a message : "Magical Interference caused the list preview to close 0.0"

    (EDIT)

Just trying to fiddle with it, lol... wanted to report this:

It will take it out if I manually goto the category of the item I wish to take out. As I said, last night when I clicked on the actual item, as long as the storage was open, it would actually goto the category by itself and grab the item(s) I wanted.

Kinda cool feature, and if it can be fixed, thank you for adding this.

  7. While I agree, Manu needs something else, I have been able to profit by making the thread (yeah it takes too long) but you mentioned harvesting and not being lazy... sooo just saying, you kinda dug yourself a bit of a hole.

It hasn't always been like this no, and I don't expect anyone to make the thread.

I don't think it's going to happen, it's been brought up so many times in so many years, I have no idea why not, but there's a reason I guess we're over looking.

But keep trying, perhaps one day! \o/

This makes absolutely no freaking sense.

What thread is used in Great swords? :D

If we harvested all the ings for the Wolf bars, we'd STILL need to get serp stones thus meaning we'd have to BUY them or just hope by the off chance we get one. Then there comes into count the binding.

So rare's needed for a Great sword (lets say jagged saber) for instance. Even if you made everything you could solo, you'd STILL need to get 2 serp stones and a binding. Considering serps are going for 10k, and bindings go for 15k. That's 35kgc right there. Just in rares. Then you sell it for 39k to beat the NPC price. Thus for all that effort and work you make 4k gc :D

The topic was having an item to train in the skill that will also give profit. Not about great swords >.> There are things in every skill that aren't profitable... unfortunately, Manu seems to have the majority.

Great swords were brought up when it came to comparing high level items between crafting and manu (which I didn't even bring up). Which Revi brought up... while you can profit from Crafting's high items from about buying everything, and Manu you can't, but there is "rarities" to be earned through Manu, something you can't get from Crafting. I am not justifying this, but it IS a valid point.

As I said, I support the idea, it was started in the wrong way, and I don't see it being changed, as this isn't the first time it's be suggested.
