I don't think there is any difference when using them (or at least not much), you would not exactly walk up to somebody and say "Hello, newb!" politely would you? "n00b / newb" mean the same thing, "Newbie". Refering to a person who is, obviously, new and inexpierenced to a particular area. (In this case, Eternal Lands.) @Matty: Eejit or Glakey I think "n00b" is used far to often these days, as is the 1337 claims. Back when it started, you had to have MAD hacking skills to call yourself 1337, now any idiot can claim to be one of the 1337

I don't like the idea all together. People PK as it is, what else do they need? NMT, CoL, Titanium Armour etc... If PKers want more goodies I say “Get a job! Ya lazy bums!”. =D Bones/Meat/Dung might be okay. But I don’t think it would be worth implementing. Plus 3~5% doesn’t decrease the potential abuse people would just kill their friends over and over again. It would also create some unfairness for Draegoni who are walking across PK maps (To get to a rare mining spot, etc).

Why should PK be encouraged even more?

Wands have already been denied. Magic Medallion or something sounds slightly better (I guess it would be less work.)

I think it should just be an acceptable risk of PKing. Plus, its going to be evident, if you see somebody with 40HP walking into a PK area with anything above augmented on. "Look at that newb! How did he get that full Titanium? Lets PK him!" Obvious, no?

Isnt there already an item which; if you critical fail on manuafturing, potioning, crafting you lose the item instead of the ingredients? Hero points being used for fighting, IMO, is a good idea. Perhaps a player could be given a certain amount of Hero Points per day, the same number as everybody else. (That way the newbies can have the same chance during fighting as the more experienced players.)

Do you have any actual sugguestions that could encompass all the main events of EL? A storyline is needed before people make technical sugguestions.

Plus seven defence is way to much in my opinion. If anything it should hinder defence but do more critical damage. Maybe "-1" defence because you have something similiar to a staff to block your enemies strikes with, but after a swing (and a miss) you leave your neck/head/upper torso exposed.

By buying rostogol stones (Roughly 16K each, or 5USD) they maintain the sport of PKing. If everybody went around killing each other, without using rostogols, a small select group would become insanely rich. The normal Steel/Cutlass PKers would not have the money to continually purchase gear. Eventually the number of PKers would get smaller and smaller, they would become more rich etc. It would have great effects on the game as a whole.

I would guess that all bags share the same timer routine. 6 minute poof time for DBs and even work bags would be a serious negative change. Last time I checked, items (not dung/pee etc) werent affected by the nitrification cycle much? Just decrease the bears drops "poof time" to six minutes, keep the other bag times. Then again, it would have to apply to people who drop dung at storages etc to bagmix.

Bag spam? Perhaps the "Poof" time for bags could be decreased to six minutes? The whole nitrification thing working faster.

("Serp'ing" a spawn? I got accused of this yesterday, I did not attack the other persons creature and there were two spawns =? Then when I told him what level my A/D was I was he said "You can have a spawn then" or something similiar? ) I suppose nobody owns a spawn, it is polite to leave if one person is training but you cannot expect everybody to act polietly in a MMORPG.

The ideas I like, 1) Half mixing food for potions 2) A fast regeneration area, which you have to pay to get into. (Hey, FR would need some powerful Essences, they dont come cheap ) But why not, 1) Up the cost (possibly only by 1GC) of Wine/Mead/Ale (Equals it out for potioners) 2) Lower the cost for meat, less is going to be used but the same amount will still be coming in (E.G. From people selling it)

Swinging a Scythe would lower defence GREATLY, unless you have the strength to lift it up and block your opponent very quickly, s/he would have time to bring a sword down on the your throat.
