This is borderline. It could be argued that you asking if there are any open spawns in melinis was sufficient acknowledgment on your part. There were not, and he decided to take a chim. Was attacking the one you were not the best way to go about dealing with this? Yes. Could he have been a wee bit more considerate? Yes. Is this spawn serping? No.

The basis of the MD system is that when cast successfully, you don't lose the mana you spent on the spell. Its fine the way it is, and MD is very expensive.

I don't really think this would be an issue. I would say on the whole, newbies don't even know that mods *can* have green names. Would there be a lot of "[bob @ 1]: why do some players have colored names?"? Yes. Would it bother anyone? No. I think this is where you go wrong, you're presuming that the only vector through which rostos can enter the game is the EL shop.

What about limiting it to (non-functional) capes?

In RL these two things getting an advantage for yourself and taking away the advantage of others are linked. If a company spends a lot of money on advertizing they are likely to increase their market share thus gaining an advantage and removing somebody else's advantage since the market is often of nearly fixed size. This is in no way a crime in RL and even if it was this has no bearing on EL - you dont get charged with manslaughter after PK-ing... Also you dont go to jail for thinking about things.... you go to jail for lowering peoples "stats" (stealing/destroying property, hurting them.)

I voted no. While the idea as it is now is decent, I'd be worried about (in istiach's words) a split in the community. I would be very afraid that the benefits of Gold membership would grow and grow until all serious players are essentially forced to pay (enter: runescape). I know radu said that no other advantages would be added, but the pressure from the gold members (the ones that are paying the bills) could be quite substantial. P.S. A definite *no* to an exclusive map.

I voted no, but not for the reasons listed in the poll. Many players have alts simply for the fun of it. The fact that inflation is a problem should be addressed in other ways, not by outlawing multiple characters.
