  1. Is it actually up and running, i just paid $5 paypal, want to see how it works, or if it works, for me. I tried logging in with port 2000 and 2001 and could not so hoping a proxy will help. I am having no connectivity issues with my other games BUT I have to use alternate ports for each of them, my ISP hates MMORPG gamers and basically states they dont serve them, but it is the only reasonably fast internet service for where I live outside of town on a mountain overlooking the Pacific ocean....lucky I have internet at all....Also, I hope you will send info on how to connect to either my email address which you would have with my payment I think, but otherwise you can put in my messages here and it will go to my email that way....thanks.

I'll be able to get you setup on my proxy tomorrow.

  2. It sounds pretty ironic to me when a mod blames the inflation and some players for all the things are working bad in EL. Radu controls the "water tap": he controls the % rate a rare item is dropped when you are harvesting/mining or the % rate you get an enriched essence or rare item when you are mixing. Then if he controls that, he can control the inflation in EL. If there is too much inflation in a specific rare item, he can change the % so that item is more common and less scarce and inflation ends.

Of course If Radu don't want inflation..... If he wants to sell more rare items in the shop, probably inflation is good for the sales.

You overlook that trying to balance any controlled economy is time consuming and prone to failure.

  3. I understand and agree with the motivation for an alternate recipe, but any recipe you come up with will be in competition with this in-game source.

A BR is worth 15-16 gc, a GHP is worth about 160 gc, so any recipe involving more than 10 BR-s does not make sense.

It can make sense when you account for the lower EMU of the GHP and the amount of health from a single shot.

  4. As some of you have heard, the Ants are currently being debugged on the EL Test server. At the moment, the focus is to correct the problems that made be shut them down, and significant progress has been made on that.

I'm also going to be adding in the new features approved by Radu related to them being permitted to carry items for their owners *aka dumb mule).

If you are interested in helping the ants come back faster, you can send me donations directly which will permit me to focus on ant coding more then working for clients for RL $'s.

PayPal donations accepted at stevew (at) pcann (dot) com ... and say that it'a a donation to help get the ants back faster.

  5. Right clicking on Chat to change the chat colors is only in the development version of the client, not in the full official release yet. You probably had installed a developer version of the client and now you're running the official client that doesn't have that or other bug fixes yet.

    Trace complete.

I read this as bad lag in getting to Canada. You're getting to 202.78.110.25 quickly, but then it's taking almost 200ms in getting to 206.223.143.214. The problem would be at bti.net.ph or the route they are selecting to pass the packet on. That problem looks like it's happening even before you hop across the Atlantic.

  7. The place to start is with your ISP, so they can check to see where they are sending the data as well as contacting other ISP's. Obviously there is something close to you that is routing the packets poorly instead of getting them on to OVH's network quickly like most of the other people have.

Yes, the link upgrades Entropy mentions may help, but those links only have problems with OVH is under a heavy DDoS (heavier then has been leveled against EL).
