Considering how long the mines last, detecting mines is definitely more important then defusing them. With the current setup, you just wait for the mine to vanish. Knowing where mines are is much more important then being able to defuse them, patience does that.

Yes, it does. To save battery life. It's called Optimus. There's no bios switch. Dell's not supporting this feature for Linux. I'm trying to get Bumblebee working..... Under Windows you have to tell Optimus that the application needs the NV to run. Look for that in your setup and then it should use the proper GPU.

There are no controls available for move left/right, the closest is turn left/right followed by move forward (two separate keys), which again would be slow.

The server protocol discourages WASD style controls since it sends a "move to this location" command and receiving a new command cancels one currently in progress. It would also be much slower since in EL you are requesting to move to a location and the Client doesn't put you anywhere until the server decides you can move there and what route you will take, making it feel laggy. I just tend to use CTRL-click to move where I want when I want myself.

While I'm not the mod handling your case, I should warn you that we do take a VERY dim view of anything that may scare new players away. Channel 1 is about the worst possible place for a joke of that nature, not to mention breaking the rules for what the intent of channel 1 is for.

When a troublesome user on a dynamic IP causes problems, sometimes a range of IP addresses gets banned. At one time Entropy even banned all of AT&T to reduce problems.

Personally I don't like having the alpha border and I always disable that feature. I prefer to have a nice sharp change between the windows and everything else.

<br /><br /><br />Think about the troublemakers & alts that just want attention, those still have to be banned. Would take extra work for the mods to decide who needs to be banned vs prison. You can't make the prison the default instead of banning or you'll have troublemakers coming in to cause trouble in the hopes that a mod accidentally bans someone that looks like an alt. People will ALWAYS try to abuse anything!

Normal internet routing type problem. Nothing you or EL can do about that problem directly. Try a traceroute to proxy1.other-life.com and see what that looks like. If it looks good, then using my proxy service is an option. Otherwise you need to either just wait or contact your ISP and see if they are willing to try to do anything about it.

If Roja wanted superman and see through clothes or no clothes or playgirls on capes or thin belts as an entire wardrobe, she would have made it official and it would have downloaded with the game. What comes with the game as you download it "is part of the game". And last I looked, this game was NOT set in Metropolis or Hugh Hefner's house. My proxy in the UK is seeing a nice solid 8.9ms ping time and it's route skips the high loss area. There are several that seem to have problems regularly, specially between Germany and France.

Sorry, but the neno hunt is NOT a quest or instance on purpose. I feel that the community needs to come up with ways to address issues and maybe change the hunting style to watch & protect against troublemakers.
