  1. Bone Powder exp

    why would it be in alchemy? There is not 1 essence that uses bone poweder, while so many potions use it. Seems logical to me that it should give potion experience...

    1 exp would be fine, its not that you would level to potions lvl 30 with that...
  4. This looks real nice, but first of all, what will happen with our current stats? Will they be kept and would i have attack 26, with all the subskills at the same level? Cause then i would have more exp than i gained, and it would be better to work real hard now On the other hand, if we have to start over, this would really suck. I just know a lot of people would leave the game. Also (just a very small point) there might be some questioning what creating steel bars has to do with magic. I think it has more to do with making the coal hot and melt the iron ore on it, which sounds more like manufacturing to me. Maybe it would go better under Manu.metal.bars I like to see it implemented, but its really up to Ent i think
  5. Magic - a new outlook

    We already have an extremely powerful heal spell: Restoration. It restores ALL of your lost health. Much better than the potion i would say. You need lvl 21 for it, so not impossible It would be nice however to be able to heal others in this same way. (On second thought, i think you meant this) Today i tried to heal someone, but i only gives 5 points back. (was a long time i forgot it sucked so much) This is nice to heal some noobs (no wait they have mor ethan 5 hp now), but to heal a veteran you need way more.

    To solve the defense thingy how bout this: Each creature has a max amount of defense experience you can get from it, but for every damage you get from the creature, that amount will be substracted from the number. to continue sanders example: A fox gives 500 defense experience, but it hits you for 8 points, then you would get 492 defence experience. You will also get the 500 attack experience from the damage you did. And the combat experience will be the average of the two: 496 (i think these numbers should be a bit lower btw, just to continue sanders example) I mean this would make good sense, you practice your defense on lower creatures than yourself, because you can actually dodge those. You might even wanna get negative experience from fighting an orc at lvl 10, but i wont drag it that far

    That would be a bad idea sander. Suppose i am hunting this wolf and suddenly it disappears into thin air because someone summoned it I wouldn't be pleased. Why not just put the items you want in storage and try to sell them on the market channel when you're online? I know, lazy people :lol:

    soon we'll have as many stats as Morrowind... How about this: you only get experience after you killed a creature. Each creature has an experience value. Bad thing is that you dont gain experience when you get killed by the creature, or that you could easily kill a half dead monster. It would solve this however: I am really doing a great job dodging all the attacks from my opponent and get no defence skill because it didnt hit me... I am really getting my ass kicked, not able to block a single attack from my opponent and i get lots of defence experience... Doesnt seem right.

    How about this: You can cast spells in combat, but when you cast one it takes 3 seconds, so you miss 3 potential hits on your enemy. Also the failing chance should be increased for spells cast in combat. In this way you can cast spells in combat, but only very few. The only thing that has to be changed is for spells to take some time to be cast. Right now i can get up 5 shields in a second (they dont stack, so no problem about that really), or cast 5 harms in a second (which is bad ofcourse) Its sort of a hybrid idea of what i heard in this thread.

    Why not just ask some veteran players to help you with the quests. If you ask nice i am sure they will help you out. I can't even remember how many new players i have helped this way. And when i was new i got some help as well.
  11. I like sanders idea (once again). But this is my extended version: In the underworld there will be some creatures that you have to kill in order to regain a life yourself. These creatures roam about in the underworld, just as all creatures do in the world od the living. Except they have such low stats that everyone will kill them in one hit, because nobody will have health down there. If you killed the creature, you get your flag set to 1 and can leave the underworld through the exit. (then your flag will be set to 0)
  12. but then, if you dont eat, will you still need fresh diapers? And can we manufacture diapers from rabbit fur and a thread? Can you wear another ring, when you have already put on your wedding ring? Will it have special powers, like keep female orcs away? "Sorry honey, look, I'm married" So many questions.... But lets stay at least a tiny bit on topic. I think it may be an idea for much, much later. Definitely not something to worry about right now

In one game i played, when you died, you couldn't play for the rest of the day, so this is not that harsh at all Suppose that the door from the underword to the world of the living would only open once every hour. That would be a nice delay Or that you can only leave the underworld if there are 10 ppl in it, and you'd have to queue up btw, please dont implement this, ent :lol:

    So now everyone will try to make silver bars in the mine? If you dont succeed you just get another coal and ore, for free, and start over again. Dont think this is a good idea... Better male it so that once you have the level, you will always succeed, saves you another click or two, because you will try again anyway
  16. Common, its not entropies fault that you are so stupid as to fight something you might die off, with all your money on you :shock: Be serious! If you don't want to die, train on animals that you are sure you can kill. And if you want to try something else, first put in storage what you dont want to loose. As said before, stats are way more important thatn some silly item. If you really deserved that item (high enough level) you can buy it again in no time, or just make a new one... And the maze thing: i think you should be able to figure it out after dying 5 times. I know i did, when the first 6 rabbits killed me before i killed one of them. What would be the challenge if you could just attack a bear and say, darn, i lost, well i will just try again then... Next thing your saying is that you should have your full health back after dying. Not ment offensive, but imho this is BS. just my 2 plats :roll:

    damn, i see that this is implemented as well :/ I really dont think it was very easy to get from lvl 36 to lvl 37. Took me quite some hours of work... But in this way it will take forever before i can make some nice titanium bars. (Yeah yeah, i suppose it was meant to last forever ) Anyway, this is really bad for the people that finally got to lvl 30. On the other hand, its a good thing that the vets now have some advantage over the new players, i mean we got killed enough by silly rabbits to make up for this... :lol:
  20. error in spell list

    In the spell list it says that you need 4 life essences to cast the spell, but i found out (the hard way :/) that this should be 4 health essences. Another thing i found, but do not know for certain is that there is an error with chainmail in the list. It says to need the exact same thing as a leather armor, this can't be right, right?
  21. But then we'd also need creatures between deer and fox, and between fox and wolf and between... Well we do need something between goblin and poema i think...
  22. maybe you should try another essence then. Some even give some profit, because the ingredients can so easily be found...
