  2. New charging for bots clarification.

    A suggestion to save bandwith: Currently when we are fighting and fleeing we get send a message: You failed to flee. I have many megabytes with this single line in my chatlogs. Another message i very often receive: You are too far away. Now... would it be possible to add a new protocol for these kind of messages? A protocol that only sends the type and a number of very few bytes. Then at the client side we see this number and look it up in a file. The client then sends the "You failed to flee" message to the console. PS: If you specify the lines of text in a seperate file we could even change them at client side. When (not if) you get tired of the "You failed to flee", you can change it into something you like better.

    Interesting ideas. I have a question tho: Invading monsters will only attack good people, but can evil and neutral people attack the monsters? Maybe the good people should be able to cast a new advanced spell: remote restoration, which fully heals the target. This would be great to heal the unicorns, or even the monsters you train on. Disadvantage is that it might be abused by people healing monsters that are in a fight with a player, thus killing the player. Ok, maybe it should only be able to target other players.

    It looks great! Too bad i couldn't be there. I noticed there were only 2 guilds, but a lot of people had just temporarily joined one of the guilds to avoid the summons. I never saw so many people in ELIT guild before So when can we vote for the winners? Or is that Ents job?

    But we are allowed to change the 3d maps right? For example to chop down some nasty trees that block my view when walking? And somewhat related: Are we allowed to change the textures or models of the monsters? Like making those pesky little rabbits a bit larger, or painting them red to see them better on snow covered maps? (I tried that last option once, but it turned out so ugly that i quickly changed it back )

    Thats interesting... If mirror could reflect the effect maybe people will think twice before using a brod. Then again... people like mufossa will probably just spend another bag of RL $ and replace the items. Which is good for Entropies wallet, and is more than fine by me. *creates an alt character with mirror skin*

    as i explained, fights between me and mufossa don't tend to last very long. It probably wasnt 3 in a row, but 3 in 1 round of fighting anyway. --- edit: Ok, i tried once more and got 1 destroyed item in at most 5 hits

    Ok, i really thought that everyone was just whining, a random function is a random function. But today i experienced it for myself here is one of the times i fought with mufossa: I didn't use a COL, i am 30+ levels lower and have maybe half his p/c. Just to illustrate how long a fight between us takes place. So i can take 10 hits at most before i have to dissengage. 3 out of 10 is not 4%. The fight before that he destroyed 2 items. Call it luck, but i would really check if the chance isn't 40% by mistake. Although you probably have... ----- edit: I see Nitager posted the same situation. GREAT movie btw

    I will move next week to DC so im afraid 0 free spwans Fluffy spwan arent that bad to be honest if we count the pk ones , now 3 DC seems and is too little for the amount of people that can train on them or are starting. I also think people train too much, i wouldnt mind to slow if all top 50 did the same Someone that starts play now and wanna get top 50 a/d need to be professional player cuz its insane the speed up. Thats what I was trying to say.. I agree that some people level very fast and train very hard to do so. But how would this suggestion help new players? If there are less spawns, the new player can't train because he has to get in line for a spawn like everyone else... New players that want to compete for the top ranking will have no success guaranteed. Unless they can afford to train 10-15 hours a day for a whole year they wont anyway. A cap in levels, like scarr said, would be a solution, but an unacceptable one! Where do you drawn the line? level 140? And what would players that have reached that level do? Maybe there should be a seperate server that resets every year... The top 50 of players there will forever be listed in a Hall of Fame. After that it starts all over again. But.. this would also be very tough, imagine 500 people hunting rabbits at IP after a reset
  17. What we need.... is a dishwashing skill! But on a more serious note, i like the idea. Maybe we could use a rag to clean the empty vials. Just have a rag in your inventory while cleaning the vials. Cleaning a vial would give a very small amount of potion experience, kinda like making bone powder gives alch exp.

    Maybe decreasing the spawn time of monsters would be helpful. Not only is it good for the money earned, but it does make the game more exciting. I kinda stopped playing for now because of boredom while(true){ chaseFluffy(); attackFluffy(); wait(); waitALittleLonger() } got a bit boring. Fighting lower level monsters is an option, but a really boring one, especially when you hardly get any experience from it. I get 8 attack exp per hit on a troll, just the same as a plain brown rabbit. Maybe each monster should have a set amount of experience they give. So whether you are level 10 or level 100, a troll gives 50 exp per hit. Of course this would mean a complete rewrite of the experience tables, which is not likely to happen. I would even suggest giving a set amount of experience per kill, not hit/block. This would encourage players to actually use a sword or something.. wild ideas, I know. It would help with the money problem tho, the monsters would be killed faster, and cost less HE and SR per kill. Would be great to combine this with a spawn time of say.. 0 seconds and a doubling of all spawns? To compensate give a lot less experience per monster. Just my 2 cents...

  23. =EF= hereby declares war on FUBR. We are convinced that Manhunt is the old Arigorn that has been on the outlaws section a zillion times before. Since he is one of their leaders, we see no other option. I am convinced that FUBR wouldn't mind a war with a two man guild, but we will try to kick some butt anyway
