  2. I couldn't start EL from within an RDP session, but I was able to use the client if I had left it open on my home PC. After some googleing I found the answer, and would like to share it with you.

    Steps:

    1. open notepad(++)

    2. copy paste the script

    3. save the file as startel.bat in your EL folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Eternal Lands)

    4. Start cmd,exe (dos) as administrator

    5. browse to EL folder

    6. type: qwinsta.exe

    7. look for the line: rdp-tcp and remember the ID

    8. start startel.bat <id>

    9. follow the instructions

    script:

    @echo off
    if [%1]==[] goto DISCONTINUE
    echo.
    echo Remote Desktop will be temporarily disconnected . . . please reconnect after a few seconds.
    echo.
    pause
    @echo on
    tscon.exe %1 /v /dest:console
    @echo off
    echo.
    echo Starting MyProgram.exe . . .
    @echo on
    start el.exe
    @echo off
    echo.
    pause
    goto FINISH
    :DISCONTINUE
    echo.
    echo Please specify Session ID. (Session ID can be found with qwinsta.exe command.)
    echo.
    :FINISH

  3. @Susje: According to my logs my script went live on: Thu Jul 23, 2015 02:32:29 PM

    I have indeed contacted you to see if you could be reasoned with, but you being you, it could not be done.

    To give everyone a complete picture, I will include said correspondence.

    Context of the 2 mails:

    Whenever I changed my rosto price to MATCH (not beat) Susje's pricing, he, but probably his script, lowered his price with 100 gc to undercut me. Thinking this was bad for the both of us, I suggested we could stop fighting eachother.

    The mails referred to:

    Sent 10 December 2013 - 03:04 PM
    Hey,

    Can we come to some sort of agreement about rostoprices. At the moment you are lowering your prices and I am copying them which makes both our margins a bit slim. I understand that alfabeticly I have an advantage in sell prices, but you have that advantage in buy prices so that should work out evenly.

    If that is not fair enough for you, how about this:

    I will raise my rosto price to 56901 and you take 56900.

    To be honest, The fairest thing is to have the same buy/sell prices and not compete eachother.

    Let me know what you think.

    Greetings,

    Faxie

    When I didn't get an answer, I sent him this message:

    Sent 13 December 2013 - 02:59 PM
    Hey,

    We keep competing eachother and adjusting our prices. Think we can work out a gentlemen's agreement of some sort?

    Gz. Faxie

    Which he answered with: "If your bot is in the second place, there will be no problems between us..."

    Perhaps offtopic, but it will draw a very identifiable picture of Susje, I found this in my tradelogs during the time I send the mails: Rostogol Stone 9 56200 505800 sold to Susje Fri Dec 13, 2013 11:53:52 AM

    If that is not trying to control the market, I don't know what is.

  4. @Susje: Even if you never used any automation for your pricing, I believe that your actions have hurt the other botowners more than my script has (or will do). My script matches the prices of the other botowners and doesn't undercut them like your actions always did. If me, or another botowner would set a price, within the hour you (or a script) would drop under that price to make sure you were the lowest price seller and highest buyer instead of matching their prices. You did this, with enough gold coins to keep doing this so that you controlled the market and making it almost impossible for other botowners to make any kind of profit, at least that was the case for me when I started with Landerion.

    My script is quite capable to undercut prices, and I have used it against your bots a few times to annoy you :P, but in general I don't use it because I think that everyone, which even includes you, should have a fair share of the market.

    You said in previous post that it wasn't fair that I used a script to do the work for me, but you do think it is fair that you can spend more time at the game than other botowners (if you didn't script it, which I find very hard to believe after Teemoo's post)?

    What also amazes me, is that you even made this forum post. In a personal conversation we had in pm's (and I cannot put on forums, unless you give me permission), you even said that you made a huge profit from my very badly written script. So your moral ground to even post this seems a bit flaky to say the least.

    Your cynical rant at the end of the previous post made me laugh. However, I did read quite differently than the literal text. I read: "Congrats to Faxie and the mods. We have passed from just me (Susje) using scripts to fair competition and fair prices for everyone."

  5. I don't need excuses (nor scripts) for changing myself the prices in my bots when I want. And why Bestest bot was selling at the same time 109 haidir passes for 10gc each? Because the owner can do it, maybe?

    It seems the mods' names are secret because you don't tell their names.

    Beating me at my own game? I don't use scripts for beating competitors. I think you are wrong, the fact you do it doesn't imply I do it too. I've been playing EL for many years obeying the rules.

    I don't name and shame, and therefore I see no reason to put their names on forum.

    I have been playing EL for many years aswell, and I never broke any rules or do I intend to do so.

    I will stop responding now. It is getting old fast and you don't seem to bring up any new issues.

  6. Still no better excuse for those haidirs? You disappoint me :(

    I am sure that those mods report to Radu on regular bases.

    Using a script to train is illegal, my script isn't. All the script really does is beating you at your own game.

  7. Susje, I suggest you read that post from Stouxy and the follow up from Maxine regarding you using scripts or automation and come up with a better excuse for those haidirs you sold for 9 gc.

    Several mods have been told how the script works and they see nothing illegal in it, else I wouldn't have made it in the first place.

    I just think it is funny how you get all butthurt due to the fact that someone outsmarted you. You really made my day :D

  8. 1 So he confessed he was using a script made by him for copying and changing prices in his bots 24/7. Then I was telling the truth all these months and he was lying to us.

    Now I have some questions:

    2 How he did it? I'm not a programmer, but such script/program must gather info from all or some bots (inv, buying prices, selling prices) in EL and send info to his bots for changing the prices. Did he use a modified EL client? Is he interfacing directly the EL-services bot server with his script?

    3 Is that against EL bot rules? The rules say "11. If you wish to add any new features AFTER your bot was an initially approved, those features must be approved by Entropy FIRST.". That script indeed adds some features that as far I know no bot has (changing prices automatically 24/7 without the owner's intervention so the bot is the one buying more expensive and selling the cheapest items)

    4 Faxie's bots are hosted by EL-services. Do the admin there knows that faxie is interfacing the server for adding extra features to their bots? Where did faxie get all the technical info (protocols, formats, etc...) needed for interfacing the server if he does it?

    5 Is that ethical? With that script, the rest of bot owners are fighting with bare hands while faxie is fighting with a machinegun. Nobody can undercut faxie's bots because in a few minutes they change their prices thanks to that script. If the rest of bot owners need to sleep, eat, working in real life and can't manage their bots all the time but faxie can do it 24/7 every day in the year with that script, is not that a big advantage over the rest of owners?

    1. As far as I know I never denied using a script, I kept you guessing though :P

    2. I am not going to tell you how I did it :P But it wasn't rocket science.

    3. And what features did I add to the bot? Isn't there a rule against false accusations?

    4. I suppose they know, my info: http://www.google.nl

    5. Ethical? You are sure you are the one asking?

    - Fact 2: Changing his prices with an automation (script, program, modified client... call it as you want) he has always the best prices in the bots so he will sell more items than his competitors. And more items sold means more profit for him and less for the rest of bot owners who don't use external scripts.

    Now Radu is collecting the bot fees from some bot owners. Why paying 20$ fee for a bot if faxie pays the same amount and has a big advantage over all the bots? With that script faxie is using, is an unfair competition. It's like boxing with faxie with your hands tied behind your back: he can hit you always without effort and you can't hit him.

    Unlike you, my prices hardly ever undercut someone. I keep them the same as other bot owners most the time and let people decide what bot to use.

  9. Rostogol prices are mostly determined by the $/GC ratio on official and unofficial markets and not by botowners. This is because most of the rostos come in the game by buying them from the shop.

    Official:

    $100 = 25 rosts
    $100 = 1.6 mill GC + 10 cooldown reducers (200.000 gc) = 1.8 mill gc

    Break even: 1.8 mill / 25 = 72.000

    Meaning: People that buy gc from radu will pay up to 74k per rost till it is cheaper to buy rosts directly from Radu.

    Unofficial:

    $100 = 2.5 mill GC (current rates)

    Break even: 2.5 mill / 25 = 100.000

    Meaning: People that buy gc from unofficial market can buy rosts up till 100k till it is cheaper to buy them from Radu directly.

    So as long as radu keeps his rostogol prices and droprates the same, nothing much will change.
