    yea like a cave maze the size of WS, maybe enough room for five people to walk side by side, and scattered (with density increasing as you draw near the exit) throughout the maze is all the different types of hostile monsters. when you enter you can get a message like "the door slams and locks behind you ..... good luck." EDIT: oh and to make it more interesting, monsters ignore mm capes and perks, so if you go in, you dont go alone.

    ya, we need a dungeon type map. where there are tonnes of hostile monsters that ignore mm capes and mm perks. once you enter, the only way out is through, like several levels similar to a cave that you need to go through and fight your way. this would make it much more interesting, as its will be a challenge to stay alive when your getting ganged by like 3 fluffy and 2 cyclops heheh, plus it would require some teamwork which the game doesnt really have a use for yet, monsters can gang you but they are so far away from each other it never happens.

    probably not feasible as it would completely change the game. but what if a special map was made which had these rules, i thought of it when SKA was having his comps, a map where you cannot fight anyone from the same race as you, so it can be used specifically for elves V. humans V. dwarves.

    on the note of dragons: roja we all know they cant be made big due to the coding of the game, but what about little dragons the size of a bear? just like modify the bear to have some horns n wings n a thinnner neck and tail and whamo. a dragon the size of a bear so that you cant 'walk into' it any more than you can a bear, so there should be no problems and it can maybe stronger than a fluffy and spawn in any map randomly like how the joker works. this would give some excitement to the game and a nice bonus for high fighters. like the dragon spawns in VOTD and the fighters need to be called in to gang it. this would be very fun.

    some people have wanted small games that can be played within EL i have noticed. So i thought up this. EL chess, its basically just animated chess except the queen piece is replaced with your character (although still functions as a normal queen piece) and you get attack experience when the queen takes another piece (although when the queen dies, your character doesnt loose anything or go to hell) for example if the queen takes a pawn, your character gets say 500 attack exp, when the queen takes your opponents queen you get 2k attack exp. so basically its a game of chess with a small bonus. some ppl could argue you could just play chess and get tonnes of exp but thats not the case a game of chess takes between 5 and 30 mins roughly, so over this time you could only earn a few k exp.

    the name cyclops is both the single and plural, cyclop is not a word. each of the human, elf and dwarf fighting books have 2000 research pages. the cloaks page is missing: body piercing cloak - gives the body piercing perk; mirror cloak - gives the mirror skin perk; and monster magnetism cloak - gives the mm perk

    i been thinking about the visuals of it also, if its possible to scale the images to fit on the screen and match the hight of normal chess peices: then the pawns could be small crouching gargoyles. the rookes could be male orcs, the knights could be trolls, the bishops could be ogres and the kings could be cyclops. this would take a lot of work im sure, but a lot of people have wanted a little something extra to do in the game that isnt just lvling all the time. its sad how many players we miss now because they got bored of just leveling all the time. i figure there two ways the game initiation can be done: an icon like the trade window allowing the game to be played anywhere; or fixed tabbles in pubs and various houses scattered through the maps.

    no, go back and read again, the queen doesnt take the place of the king. to win one still needs to take the king, and you dont loose if the queen is taken, you just dont get to see your character on the board and since your character isnt on the board to take anything you cant get any exp. its still the rules of chess, i boldified that because it seems a common misconception on this subject

    i fully love the idea. what happens if someone is wearing mm cape? can they still not be attacked or they get attacked anyway?

    fluffy already has 100/100 att/def thats why the high level players are leveling off it, it gives me 121 def exp and 113 attack exp per hit

    the king is a figure head, he has no real power. if you want to win the game you take the queen, once the power has been removed the king falls. if the queen is taken from EL chess the game would still go on as any normal game of chess. replacing the queen with your character is just for aesthetic value, its still just a queen. i figure make the queen your character so you can see it actually kill some stuff rather than just run away from attackers as the king has to do.

    the exp isnt really important, it was just intended as a way for EL to make the game its own, it would be a nice little bonus though. but the queen should definately be replaced with your character.

    that could work, except as i intend it its exp for when the queen takes a piece, not just for winning the game.

    it will be good on the sole condition that it tells you if they are signed in or not, otherwise its not very useful since you can just type the first few letters of a persons name anyway

    yes but what it you want a tournament - best of three, with someone. thats how i play usually. exp for only 3 games an hour (not 3 games per opponent, but 3 games total) will satisfy most of those not just trying for exp.

    ok how about you only get experience from 3 games per hour. that solves the potential for abuse and the people who arent trying to abuse it get exp for about as many games as they would want to play anyway.

    yes there is the potential for this, but its not very much more exp than they can recieve from fighting a monster of similar level to themselves, with the exception that they cannot get items or money this way, plus they would end up with a terrible record of wins/losses
  19. New server bug reports!

    no no what im saying is you can fight monsters that would normally kill you so you get like 200+ exp per hit, i leveld up from killing one goblin and if i go try some more i will level up again, then when i reach the point that i would be fighting them on the old server i will be able to progress to harder monsters, not even including the fact that by then i will have even more physique so i can go to even higher monsters, i will eventually reach the point where i can just skip certain monster types because i have so much toughness which absorbs damage and so much life. but my point is we now fight based on physique level and we can increase that from other skills really really easily and power through the fighting levels in like half the time that an old server character took. and since ent thinks it will be harder i think he should know that it will be way easier

    i cant be bothered reading 12 pages of bugs which have most likely been fixed already so my apologies if this has been posted already. fighting seems too easy now, in the old server you fought monsters based on your defence attack and combat level (mostly just defence tho). in the new server you fight monsters based almost entirely on your physique, i can kill goblins being 12/13 because i have 26 physique which i easily got from negative perks and harvesting, if i did some alchemy which is pretty easy i would have really high physique like 40+ and would only need to spend about 4 pick points to be able to do it.     it cant be made so that newbs can get it. it needs a high level to carry so that people dont just mule it and horde it. jimbob mentioned the admin capes because everyone who has one mules it since it cant be stored, although next got trpoicano's first (great work btw next) but thats not important. if the sword needs lvl 50 to be carried people wont be able to just mule/horde it away and besides its a weapon designed to be fought over, i rarely see newbs in KF, the people i see are the fighters who have over 50 fighting skills anyway so it makes sence that the weapon should be for pk'ers. i think the untradeable idea is good too, that way you cant just give it to a guild member while you go pk. and with multiple combat the awesome power that the sword imbues its wearer with wont make him/her invincible, although will make him/her very challenging even when three people of equal level fight him/her. it would make pk even more fun

    how about a key to toggle between possible cursors in the game, it would be very convenient and shouldnt require too much work. the quick keys atm are ok but it would be better if they were more accessible or able to be specified client side
  25. items yes, in a flash as the economy went even more screwed with the beaver furs, and now completely dead with the serpent stones stats, hell no! you would loose almost every high level player.
