Thnx bluap... guess what, it worked! El is working again, thnx, im not sure how this made the game crash for me but it did.

Ok I think I figured out the problem, it has to do with the music and the fact that its enabled in my options but I deleted the folder.
How can I change my options to un-enable music and sounds from outside the game, cause while im ingame and I attempt this it instantly crashes.

I just want EL to work, do you have any sudgestions besides my graphics card.. Let me recap...
Now Everytime I start EL it crashes almost instantly, whether or not I have anything altered in options, I have tried this dl you provided in this thread, didnt work.
I have deleted my EL folder and re-downloaded... anything else I can try?

I don't think its an issue with my graphics card.. if i can handle doom3 or counter-strike source without issues, I can handle El.

Crashes have become more frequent, as soon as I log on now, while running this version or the other one, I don't know what to do, there isnt an error or chat logg in my EL folder, the game is virtually unplayable right now.

Bluap I don't think that's the exact problem I'm having cause EL randomly crashes after I change my options, might be right after, might be 5 min. later, but has never crashed if I don't change options... ill try it anyway tho.. in the morning, its late, night.

I have a problem now, everytime I log into EL now, all my options are set to default, so I customize them, after doing so EL crashes, and I re-open it and my options are at default again, I don't want to play with these settings although the game does not crash with them, all I really changed was the size of the window, sit lock, and my stat bars so its not a graphics issue.
Worst of all is that there isnt an error or chat log in my EL folder for some reason? I deleted my old EL folder and downloaded the new one from the website, maybe I wasn't supposed to do that?

Something similar happened to me last night, as I walked past trees in mm the green mesh sort of stuck to my character and it looked extremly... odd. Im not even kidding about this, it must be a bug of some kind.

Yeah mine keeps crashing about every 5 min. that I'm online, everything seems really buggy...

Well ever since I downloaded the update, everytime I try to log onto my account, it says that the password is wrong, I doubt I've been hacked, and trust me, I typed in the correct username and I typed the password perfectly multiple times, what could be the problem?
Edit: Ok sorry I figured it out, and there is a sort of interface bug with the update, the old client allowed for I believe 18 letters/numbers for the password, and the new client allows for 20, my password is 20 letters, and now I've been typing all 20 letters all along not realizing this, its confusing but yeah...

I say that we just keep it the way it is. For the couple of people who don't like it, sorry, tough, live with it, almost everybody I know loves it, our guild has never had so much fun pking together, yea some of my stuff broke in the process but it was worth it
And if it really is a bother that you don't get your "furs" then you sort of need to explore the game a little because there is alot more to EL than just fighting.

I think that the friends list should show the status of your friends, if their online, offline, or afk, I know that there are issues with the whole system and reasons why the problem has been avoided, but it needs to be faced some time or another.

I think its a decent idea, I mean as long as the affects are small, 4 charm and you might get like 6 extra gold for each blue lupines run in pl, nothing much but its adds another aspect to the game.

I see one major flaw in this, it would require alot of work for the mods/admins to test and make sure that the player made quests are any good and to make sure they don't include anything that could lets say, ruin certain aspects of EL. Somebody could just put in a secret part of the quest that gives 100000 manu xp if done, idk much bout programing, but something to consider i think?

wow don't you love it when people have enormous egos in video games and think they're better than everybody else???
I voted no only cause everybody else in my guild... uhhh urged me to. But I think that its a decent idea and ultimatly w/e entropy thinks is a good idea... is a good idea, if his ideas were bad then none of us would bother to sit here and play his game.

Wouldn't People abuse it by logging off and back on really fast when losing a fight to save them?
Im pretty sure you can't logg out while fighting, your char continues fighting until the fight is over anyway... unless they dissed and logged out, but yea good point, it could be abused, im sure theres a way to fix that so it doesnt happen tho.

My sudgestion is that when a player first logs into the game, if their in a hostile area, they shouldn't be able to be attacked for about 10-20 seconds with the exception of pk maps. This is because sometimes when I log on I lagg a little and can't figure out exactly what is going on, I need a chance to defend myself if I'm about to fight, for instance I logged on today, lagged a little, and when everything was through, my screen lit up and i was standing over an orc with 10 hp left.
I know many will say its part of the game, and that you should just log out in safer locations, well sometimes you dont choose to log out, or you may not remember where you logged out, so logging into a monster spawn can be quite the surprise sometimes.

Nah, the only reason it was so popular when it first started was the curiousity, the enourmous amount of advertising on forums, and the fact that everybody was adding extra prizes to it, then people would always loose and get pissed and never wana play again...
How can u solve this, 3 easy steps.
1: yeah placing old tomburlo w/e in votd would be much more convinient.
2: add a 2nd and 3rd place prize as well so that their is always more than one winner, (higher chances to win)
3: an automatic advertising over the global chat message a few times a day wouldn't hurt just to remind people about it.
ps. havnt been on in a long while so hey everybody..
