Lol no it would be a place for people to try clothes, first of all. But i think sometimes they could actually role play too. Some players like that, i think it would be fun

I love this idea of being able to wear the new clothes onto stage and perform!!! People could go in get changed, come on stage, play something , tell a joke and then go back and poof! they'd be out of character, out of clothes!

Who can freaking read 4 or even 1 advert every 30 seconds and compare prices and try to find the best deal?? Having the choice to clear out the market place and give the players a real chance at the economy is more than necessary! Please please implement this, we need a live economy not one ruled by bots!

Sounds like a nice idea! Can temporary items be implemented?Or items that can only exist in one place? I've just had an idea, make this "dressing room" a sort of death room with 100% chance of losing everything when you go out, so you might as well go in naked too.

I've been to threatre school for 3 years, we did plays of course, shows with real theatres for the national day, city's day, kids day and every other day that was worth noticing. I must say i trully loved it, every single hour spent there, and mind you i was spending more than 10 hours a week in the studio, after school, on weekends, etc. I've been on national tv several times because of it, but i could have cared less. I liked performing for real people, feel if they like a play, see their eyes, what moves them, what amuses them... This school lasted 3 years, got a diploma of "semi-professional" theatre acting, but that was kinda it. I could have gone to Performing Arts College, but i want become a professional phographer so i chose to follow that dream

Lol the earth can heal itself??!Try to heal yourself when you're breathing poisonous gas and chewing on plastic bags. All resources are limited on this planet, meaning once you've used/destroyed/abused/wasted them, you dont have them anymore. Yes plants can make more oxigen, water does get filtered over time, but think of all the waste, all the junk that we're producing, where can it all go? Nothing is gained nor wasted, everything transforms, and if you dont keep things as clean as you can, everything transforms in poison and dirt. Now think of all the kinds of animals that die every single day, all the deserts getting bigger, all the forests getting smaller, do you honestly think we have nothing to do with it?? We used to have ALOT of snow in Romania, i remember digging tunnels through the snow in my grandparents backyard when i was smaller. This year it only snowed 3 days,one day a month. Its horribly hot and dry in the summer and rainy in the winter. I'm not gonna give any other countries as examples cause i've mostly lived in Romania,but am i really the only one who thinks this is only going to get worse? US is the most powerful country in the world right now, both military and economically. They're using huge amounts of resources, wood, water and mostly petrol. Cars are used mostly for individual transport as many families own 2-3 cars each. I really think its US's responsability to educate its people and limit their "contribution" to pollution. With great power,comes great responsability and they have a huge influence in the world. They could at least give an example of good conduct to the rest of the global villagers!

These days no media works without computers, including Tv stations. You need computers to get your information, program the show grill, not to forget the prompters, studios and command room also depend on computers. The best thing to do on a day without computer is to go out and enjoy nature as much as you can

I tried playing EL on vista home too and it closes after logon.It doesnt tell me anything about errors and i couldnt find a way to fix it. I'd say its because of Vista...i'm now playing on my computer, on linux, so that "fixed" my problem but i dont know what you should do. Good luck

You're quite right about the danger of giving rights to any user of a computer, but then again, you're just granting rights for that game folder not for your entire system. Now i'm really not sure about this but i think there's a way to lock that folder, once you're done with it. I guess my way is not the safest, maybe not even correct, but it worked for me,where other methods failed.

Yeah dont hold your breath on that. You'll never see the stock market shutting down its computers, all the airports in the world (not to mention planes), whole industries, secret services, military IT brances and so on...Maybe you and me can live without a computer for a day or two, but the rest of the planet cant. Computers do alot more than let you check your email and play some game. With the amount of things they control these days, things that otherwise would be impossible to command, we are definitely dependant on computers. So a global shutdown day will never happen.

The problem i see is that effects slow down the game, as i've already noticed. During an intense battle like that, the visual effect would probably appear long time after the physical one...

I couldnt get the game to install on Ubuntu no matter what. In the end i found an auto-installer package on the Ubuntu forums.That definitely saved my life though you have to get writing rights for every single file that you want to modify,maps,music, updates... So this time i wanted to try something else, i tried installing the game after EL's "official" instructions, but it keept telling me that the /Eternal Lands-1.33 folder doesnt exist when i tried cd and of course chmod-ing didnt work either. Here's my solution, i typed in terminal "sudo chmod o+w /usr/local/games" hit refresh then unzipped my EL folder there, which i renamed "el". Then i put in the command: "chmod 775 /usr/local/games/el/el-133.x86.linux.static" Added the maps and music with no other problems and so far everything is working well. If you find any mistakes in my post,please let me know and also excuse me, i did this a few days ago and i'm writing from memory now. Anyway i hope this method helps and its correct. If not....well dont blame me, i'm still learning this

We all start with something but in the end it seems most of us become pro chatters "The rest" of the skills are just to keep our chars busy Well i'm still at grasshopper level but when i started this game i liked the idea of making my own things,being self sufficient and all ^^ So i picked up manu but realised you cant manu without harvesting and alching (for financial reasons). And i fight for the fast exp and cause i get bored of the other things sometimes. Pot, crafting and summoning are the neglected skills, but i'll get to them one day
