Wow, you only just realised this now? I been bitching about it for years, (well like 1 ) how you can change armour, cast spells, use potions, all that crap, but cant summon (simply because it uses an interface that is shared by other tasks that have no place in a fight, the mix window) Oh well, add my voice again to the calls to have summoning exempt from this restriction on mix window use. I always have everything on. Is it important that far object get reflected? I mean, at the expense of 70% or more of my fps? (I limit at 40, and typically when it IS uncapped i am up over 300 in some outdoor places, but in WV looking west from the ore buyer I was down to 8-9 fps) S.

I have been playing with skybox for some months, and it just keeps improving. It is really looking good now, compliments to everyone involved! The new camera motion is taking some getting used to, particularly when I use the keyboard arrows instead of the mouse middle button to turn the camera, but I am sure it is just my inertia stopping me adapting quicker. Cheers, S. Edit: I have also noticed, however, since the last cvs build I did (yesterday) the FPS have dropped considerably. I have lowered the far plane dist to below 60 and still the problem persists.

I am pretty sure they mean mp3's/cd/LP's (if they are oldzor like me) that they play while pking in EL, not actually inserted into the game in any official fashion. I used to play led zeppelin while playing Quake 3 Arena Talk about PK action! S.

I hadn't used a great sword or seen one in action since 1.6.0 until today when I was at NC arena for no drops day. Sometimes I couldn't see anything else for the bright colours. Whatever was changed resulted in a massive change in the effect. S.

pressing printscreen or somesuch in windows will put the current screen into clipboard. You can then open paint, and do ctrl-v. Save as whatever.jpg (yep it will save as jpg, I was surprised too. ) and you're done. In linux, I just press printscr and it pops up a window showing the screen capture, where and whether I want to save it, and how. But...enjoy windows. S.

Yep, the newest cvs seemed to fix it (I compiled with that flag you mentioned) S.

I was wondering whether the new up/down behaviour in the game window (ie changing the slant of the camera up and down using the up and down arrows) is intentional. Currently, at least in my CVS build with skybox, hitting up or down sends the screen to the extremes of the range of up and down-ness, rather than stepping through various angles per keytap like it used to. Gah I reread that and I am not sure i am explaining what I mean properly :S. S.

It's kinda too easy to avoid pk here to have a totally non-pk server be necessary IMO. In the PK server, its not very easy to avoid pk, here it is easy to avoid pk. and lol@ent S.

One reason people make things more expensive then the NPC is as long as you harvest the & make stuff your self or get them in exchange for favors it's 'free' and you don't have spend gc (or only on those occassions you have to replace a broken tool/mold). And you get xp

Actually you need the files that are in the zip file given by Roja because you also need a skybox directory that contains xml files... If it's the case can you take a screenshot of the sky and water please? Thanks again, I had the wrong set of files. (I grabbed them from the windows zip in the first post) All good and looking great S.

One thing I have never got to work in skybox is seeing sky objects (clouds,moon,sun,stars etc). I have downloaded and extracted the zip file mentioned in the make.defaults file into the textures directory, and am reasonably sure it knows where my data dir is (or else everything else would be cocking up too) so I am at a bit of a loss. I should also mention the sky objects (well clouds at least) are visible in the water reflections. S.
