    A true mage is protected by magic ! So please do not forget to give a good bonus to the shield spell ! Perhaps there could even be an extention to "Dedicated Mage". we already have 2 perks that support summoners: http://el-wiki.net/Conjurer_Perk http://el-wiki.net/The_Summoner_Perk we have 3 perks that support rangers: http://el-wiki.net/Ethereal_Ranger_Perk http://el-wiki.net/Wilhelm_Hood_Perk http://el-wiki.net/Ninja_Perk So perhaps another perk for wizzards that comes also with further penalties. I have thought about a limit of human nexus to 5. This would not allow a mage to wear Great swords or Dragon armor /and unfortuneatly not the artificer cape (you can still get the perk) But still classic items like the Staff of Protection or the Crown of Life. Further Penalites: a limit for the attribute Phyique which has a direct effect on toughness, carry capacity and life points. And i heard that physique has a direct consequence for the damage (not cross attribute, true?) Bonuses: You need less essences for Invisibitly and True Sight. example: { 5 Air , 5 Energy, 5 Matter } Essences example: { 3 Engery, 3 Magic , 3 Spirit } Essences Shield Spell gives you +9 armor.     It seems we have two groups here. Group1 says that Mages are already overpowered. Group2 says we need more magic spells or an extention with perks, where group1 says again, omg they are already so powerful. stalemate ~ We should sit together and discuss how powerfull each spell should be for one who has all the bonuses, so we know a worst-case-senario. (example harm spell) In my oppinion we can not add things when it endangers the balance of the game. And I like to introduce my own view of things currently. Many players have choosen Reason to increase their hitting power. In multicombat (example invasion) for example, when you do the most damage you get all the gc, all other players go empty. (maybe we could let the server divide the loot in multicombat) [maybe exclusively when all wear gather med]. For the reason that many players have many attribute points in Reason that makes them also a very good mage. And this is something that should not be possible. I think, and this is my statement now, you can not be a good fighter and good mage at the same time. It is too easy. Which is another reason why I would vote for less attribute depandant spell damage. My suggestion: 20% Rationality + 80% Level Now to come back to Radu#s original post: Penalties: 1. -30% inflicted damage 2. -30% total damage 'prevention' (given by attributes, defense level and armor) 3. -30% a/d exp It was well conceived and I like the introduction of Action Points in the concept. I already know who's going to get the perk

    Something I know is that the "update function" takes a large amount of CPU time (when you don't have multiple cores) . #update_status Goto Category Server and empty the box : Automatic updates. You can also decrease the Maximum View Distance in Category - Camera. So much for the start.

    I see only a technical limitation here. Summoning is like mixing (since you use the Mix-window). And mixing is not allowed during harvesting or fighting.
  10. Instance with 3 man

    Indeed Raistlin, it is very difficult to get a team together. Also for me, there is a very small time window in which I have to find players who want to go. ( Which is Saturday or Sunday evenings. ) And in those times the availible instance maps x/2 can be full sometimes too. Now what I want to say is, I find it wrong that three top player farm this instance over and over while normal player, perhaps with not so high a/d don't go. I somehow get the feeling that they are not welcome to go which I find almost insulting, I know that doesn't belong here but it must be said. Many times I have asked players on channel 100120 for a large group who likes to go into the instance with me but they keep telling me there is no profit when you go with more then 5 player Now I would like to see changes in such a way, that the game encourages players to go in larger groups !! In my oppinion the gold coins which are dropped at the end from the boss monster should depend on how many players are still inside. Or if you want to be sure there is noone cheating with mules only player, the server should count how many players are fighting with the monster. Everyones oppinion is welcome to the topic. But I think my idea is a step in the right direction.

  16. Google Nexus 4, 7, 10

    Can I make phonecalls with the Nexus 7 ? There are 3 of the kind. The one with 32 GB storage and HSPA+ would be cheaper with 299 € then the Nexus 4 with costs 349 €. The windows phones are crazy high with 500 € and apple is in the same category. I have a very simple phone, now I was thinking I take the N7, which has a larger display, 4325 mAh and use it as a phone.. Is that even possible ? I have found no answer to my question online yet. Maybe someone can help me ? By the way, at the moment there are no phones availible. I also received a reply from the manufacture Asus in which it says: So with internet I could still use skype but I agree with you Usl, the Nexus 7 might be too large as "classic" mobile phone. I didnt think about this at first. But maybe one day I will play EL on a Nexus tablet (and then I go for the large screen ^^ ) Many tablets come without HSPA connection, have you heard if it is possible to connect a tablet with a mobile phone ? Since they have all kind of connections these days: WLAN , Bluetooth, NFC

    You are confused about timezones ? Too lazy to calculate ? When you are using windows 7 you can add an additional clock. Here is what I did: click on Datum und Uhrzeit ändern click on checkbox : Diese Uhr anzeigen choose: UTC (Koordinierte Weltzeit) click OK Now you can always check what time it is in UTC. Then player end up with stupid names that you can not spell neither remember. Ruins gameplay imo. Plus a name can tell much about yourself. So take a good name!     The general feeling is that something is not right about the strength of the magic spells, namely: Remote Heal, Smite Summons, Heal Summons, Harm, Life Drain. I am for anything that will allow more magic in the gameplay, but I am not sure if perks are the right way. I will have to think about that a bit more. So my idea to balance the strength of magic spells: 50% attribute dependent and 50% level dependant. Example for Remote Heal: Where 48 rationaltiy = 100% and 100 magic level = also 100% I have 20 rationaltiy (42%) and 70 magic (70%) when 100% attribute = 50 Health points and 100% level = also 50 Health points then I would get 21 Health points for my attributes plus 35 for my level which is 56 Health points. 50*(20/48+70/100)=56 Or in another case 10 rationalty and 80 magic 50*(10/48+80/100)= 50 Please everyone try this for you own attributes and levels. Do you like this formula ?
  25. Invance Helping and Gear Poll

    Don't forget that many are scared of the invances and think they are too weak and will not even try it ! Many wait until they are almost out of the level range and then jump ahead and end up beeing a newbie in the new range again. Any ideas how to encourage people to go more often to invance ? (Not talking of the 120-200 , you go often enough )
