Old EL didnt have a max of 3-10 people playing, Old EL didnt have half of the stuff we now have on this server Old EL had old school pk which meant players could pk each other Like I said in my last post if you guys want to be on an empty server playing the game all on your own, killing high end mobs pking harvesters and ants, then you already have that. But if you want to build the player base, have players to talk to and play the game with then you will have to listen to what the prospective players are saying they would want. you wont be fine if Ent decides he is fed up with makin a loss on this server and ends it (which he is quite in his right to do). Prohibited i do understand your post but i can see how it will improve the player base And a lot of the changes you have posted will take a lot of work in the programing side of things (they are not little tweaks) Your views on how to promote the pk server and what would you change was the topic But we are not seeing ways to promote and make this server a busier one. But more a case of we don't want to get rid of this, or, we don't want that. The way the server is speaks for its self and maybe a post on the mains forum asking mains players what they would change to make them want to come here would have got a more positive response. If one man can kill the top mob and yes easily, at A/D 100 that says it all. I don't need anyones help if i want to get a dragon scale. Pking the ants or the odd harvester is all this server is seeing of pking and when two high end players meet they just trade srs's the dis and tele. You are now a top player on this server and in a straight fight I also being a top player would not be able to Pk you. So how would say a 60 a/d player or two be able to defeat you. With cool down just on rings and pots the 60 a/d player would have more of a chance and not less to pk you. Learner Its a small change but if the players and the ants got exp from fighting each other then it might turn the ants into a sort of resource which players might compete for so yeah its a good idea. (Just like the mercury spawn used to do) "I know I speek for everyone here bring back the merc " PvP exp was taken away from this server when it started because on the test Pk server players were using their alts to help boost there own A/D and even myself and SL7 devised a method to get us up to 30 a/d in the first day or so using very little ings. But with just players and ants get exp from each other i cant see this being a problem. There you go another Idea pvp exp being put back on. (1) New players will be able to level faster (2) They will also be pkable whilst doing it (3) wont effect players who play now Handy

I didnt mention Mainly because this subject has been an on going one even before the Pk server was started and ENT has made himself clear on this many times before. Although i do agree and I would rather play the game without these things in it. I am trying to high lite suggestions where we would even stand a chance of getting some change. Ent is not about to re write the game Bigkav why are you even posting here you have said you are not interested in this server and you only logg on the the main server occasionally. Don't you have any life at all. you seem to be using this thread to boost your ego when really you are just making a fool out of your-self. I really do feel sorry for you. Korrode I agree with you there is no point in talking about it just in game and all points non players make are valid. But when you get people like bigkav that don't give a sh1t about the server and only posts here because he has no real life. It does make some players that stuck by the server think what is the point. The so call alliance that did dominate this server got bored and moved on and this server is ready for these changes Your idea's that you posted would probably make an awesome game. Hi Ok this is a summary of most of the posts in this thread The main reason why the Pk server’s population is low is because we rely on getting players from the main server to improve the pk servers player base . The reasons why this is not working 1: Its not a free server 2: There is no Pking on the pk server 3: I don’t want to start from scratch with a new char when I have worked on building this one on the main server 4: How do you get onto the pk server there is not link to it So why not Bring the Pk server out into the open? 1: Make it free 2: Look at the tweaks to increase pking (cool-down on pots and rings but still keep no cooldown on food) 3: Don’t rely on the main server as the target for a new player base. Promote the pk server along side the mains server and give new players the choice Eternal lands & Eternal lands Pk. 4: Make the access easier click on the EL link and have 2 buttons Eternal lands & Eternal lands Pk This would defiantly make a difference over here and would give new players a choice from Eternal lands: A server with rules and moderator's not many pk areas (cool down on food, mini events, safe to roam around, no multi play e.t.c) Eternal lands Pk: A server with very little rules and pretty much un-moderated 90% pk areas (no cool down on food, no mini events, multi play is ok, most of the land is pk) This way old and new players could choose which way the want to play By promoting 2 servers with 2 different ways to play the same game wouldn't this help Ent to by some more bricks for his castle and help to get EL back up there at the top of those websites like it used to be.

This is a point, to play on the pk server you need to adjust the link to get on to it. Ok we have our own forum but when you down/load the game cant a box be made where you can click Eternal lands or Eternal lands Pk. And why do we call the other server the mains server why are they not promoted equaly. That way new players coming to eternal land could choose and we would not have to use the so called mains server for our new player base. Some free games have over 50 servers out there opening the access (makin it free) and promoting two has to be better than just the one Handy

I've leveled more chars past 90s-100s then you've owned. That was on MAIN server btw, where leveling is HARDER. As for main server, I rarely ever log in.. just to PK / chat / help friends. and that so called alliance, REMOVED PK from the so called "PK server".. you focused to kill 1-2 players(out of that outstandingly high population), the rest were ALLIED LOL. You obviously don't know jack shit about what chars I've had on either server. It's time to face the facts, the "PK" server isn't going to get any kind of influx of players because let's face it, theres no PK, community rules (LOL), and a server that's barely surviving which gives little to no income.. No Income = No Priority = "PK" Server. You won't get a steady flow of players, you won't be able to get the server help putting money into ent's back pocket. As negative as it seems, it's EL. Someone with your playtime should know better by now. Now that is out of the way back to the server I am personally reading all your posts and can understand your points Korrode: I know you no about the concept of PK and its strategy's and you do have a point A game where you don't have to put much work into to get to a level where you can spend all day pking would be great and would attracted many players. But would that be Eternal lands. The EL pk server was dreamed up buy all those that loved to pk in eternal lands that thought they missed the old ways. Mixers love it over here because of no cool-downs on food . all i am asking for it to put cool-down back on pots and rings to give pk a chance and to open our doors. That way we can still be Eternal lands and have best of both worlds, and why not if it would help the server? What has this server got to loose? Don't move but try it out and still play the main server see for yourself a lot of players have played both server at the same time. Eternal lands & Eternal lands pk Eternal lands is a safe server with a small percentage of pk area's. The game has strict rules and is moderated with the availability to buy a lot of stuff from the on line shop Eternal lands Pk Is a more care free server 90% of the areas are pk. The game has no real moderating and because of this most things go on this server because it a pking server mixing and char building is easier you don't have access to all the shop bought items and multi play is allowed. bigkav Is that why you came here didn't make that name and left In the beginning some of the best PKers from EL were here I am talking about ones that already made names for themselves even Radu played the game Every one was shouting old school pk but like i have already said most missed their high end weapons and armors and didn't want to spend ages training new chars. I would have probably quit and gone back to main if i had not sold my old mains char As for community rules i think the only rule we tried to honor was not to pk during organized invasions as the invasions were a high light of the server. And this was only enforced the normally way if you don't like something someone has done then you don't have to trade with them. I think you really need to have played this server regularly to know what its like or have any idea about these things. See this is what makes this server great Going back to tweaks or some other ideas No cool down just on food (This would bring pk back to this server and also keep the mixers happy) Free server or at least 1st char Free ( Idea's a quest on main to win a new char for here,) A/D advancement some have suggested a faster leveling would bring more people here so maybe some lengthy quest to get you to 30 a/d and 60 a/d just a thought) with 60 a/d and cool-down on pots and rings 2-3 players could attack 100 a/d player. Daily chance this could be used for here and main server most of the games i have played gave you a daily chance of winning something. This keeps people interested like a roulette wheel. Use your amulet spin the wheel and see what you win. 5k sulfur, 10k gc, tit serp e.t.c. Its no good using this thread to moan and complain about those that have stayed with this server just because some of you left. And from what i understand its not just this server that has problems numbers have dwindled on the main server as well So back to my suggestion (1) Cool down back on everything but not on food or as bkc said reduced to 1 second on food (for easier programing) (2) Make this server Free (3) And promote both servers side by side. That way our player base wont need to come just from the main server You will see a difference and so will Ent's bank account Handy

It was listening to ex players and Pkers on main that I got most of these ideas from. Unfortunately this is a debate and at times can get heated Most players left after a few months because they missed their high end armors and weapons and didnt want to spend another 2 years building new chars. Most of these were the people that wanted this PK server and helped to mold it from the beginning. They thought they missed old school pk. I do take on board what is being said and games like guild wars and evony (which has over 60 servers) are proof that it can work and maybe should be looked at. But you are talking about a lot of work to change this server we are talking about tweaks and that would be hard enough to get Ent to do (NO disrespect meant). I do understand the argument about from scatch it taking a long time to get to any sort of level to be able to pk top players. That is where the 100 a/d cap comes in sooner or later you will have a server full of capped players. We did also look at char coping from main but there were to many ways that could be exployted. As for o/a cap would that be really needed do you know how long it takes to level o/a when you are not leveling a/d. It takes forever Ok going back to cooldown on pots and rings: This will make all top players vonuable, weeker players can then gang up on stronger players. The great thing about multi play is even if you dont want to spend hours mixing their is always players with ess and pots to sell. Also getting gc on this server is easyier because of multi play. Rare items This can be monitored by ent as to the amount of people playing, but after two years I have 3 nexus removal stones and I doubt more than 10 have been in the game so far. Yes this is a pk server but its also great for mixers. I dont think we need to change that ballance just tweek a few things. But most would agree to no nexus buying and no brods, But we do need goals things to achieve and things to work for thats what keeps players interested. At the moment the only PK skill on this sever is attack someone when that are harvesting or training. I would like that to change. Handy

It would be great to have you back Good old mash I dont think its that people wont pk on here its just a case of making it challenging and exciting. And of course more players more pking. After most players fizzled out the server did pretty much split into 2 sides. With some new blood and the ability to pk each other would change things over here. I cant be bothered at the moment to find someone activate MI and trade sr's for 10 minutes then dis and tele. I want lower level players to be able to gang up on me and have good tactics in battles. not just throw a loads of summoning stones about.On the main we used to attack stronger players get them on the back foot with potion cooldown and as they dissed someone else attack so they could not use a ring because of that cool down. all this made PKing fun. I wonder just how much work it would take to just put cool down back on rings and potions or like Bkc56 said put it back on all items then ruduce it to 1 second on fruit and veg Handy

Like i keep saying for the PK server to turn into a PK server you need to make it challanging and exciting and to attrack players that like to pk you need that cool down on them rings and pots. I think the rest is ok . Maybe some areas where rosto dont work would force old school pking as peeps would not want to loose their col and special swords But from what im being told the Main server isnt doing that well at the moment either, or its nothing like it used to be so maybe a tweek of this server and promote both servers together as free server's would be the answer. At the moment our player base comes from the main server if it also came from new promotions then we might see a difference. Eternal lands used to be No 1 on some of these voting site's. This makes sence Then the best way would be to promote both servers together then new players could decide But i still think this server needs the minor tweeks ChrisC has an idea first char free then pay for alts but im not sure how easy that would be to exploit and if its revenue RadU wants he would make more $$ buy makin it a free server the more players the more the shop would be used. I dont think locking out C2 would solve much players are so used to that place now and i think it would be a reason not to come here. Ok 400 he's it took but it does count because a 100 a/d char can kill him in 5 minutes and Hey icy only killed me because you mana drained me and i turned on you and killed you. I went to heal and had no mana didnt get time to hit them sr's ( so i was fighting you and Icy, manage to get you but your mana drain helped icy out) you have also raised some good idea's though When i played the main server 4 years ago most players were either breaking the multi play no 5 rule or were trying to find ways of exployting it. Over here you have the option wether to multi play or not I have one trained fighter one mixer and harvesters. But if there was no multi play then my mixer would not be able to make anything for my fighter. that is how it works over here. we can be fighters harvesters mixers. rather than trying tio do it all with one char. we never get board. But this server can still be a place for mixers / fighters because they always need each other and with more pking comes more need of supplys. If you put cool down on food and or bring in rule 5 I feel you would loose most of the people that play here now We need to increase the flow of players coming through the pk server. I enjoy playing it but some subtle changes would help and i love pking Handy

We still need to keep the distance from main server and PK server although your points are good ones i think the 2 servers would be too much the same. What makes this server atractive and different from the main server is No cooldown on food Being able to interact your chars and being able to multy play atleast 80% of the server is PK 100 a/d cap Not a free game How hard would it be to put cool down just on the rings and pots? (I am not a programer) What you guys need to realise the main server gets a certain amount of promoting. (when i played you were urged to vote for it on different web sites) Also its a Free server so the main server is getting new players all the time also you are loosing players all the time. Over here on the PK server we are not promoted so we have to find ways of getting players over here ourselves. In a perfect world putting cool down JUST on pots and rings would attract pkers and pking also making it free would attract players. Question why cant it be a perfect world after all Radu is GOD and can do anything. He would start getting revenue. from shop sales and this server might end up being worth promoting. Handyman

All points considered, there are some really good ideas in your post, as well as in all of our heads. But the main wall that we always bump into is Radu. I'm sorry about my criticism, but it's the truth. Radu needs to change his opinion about the PK server and start treating it as his own property, his own creation and source of income. Saying "Pay me for the account, promote the server while I do nothing about it and you get nothing from it" to the loyal players is plain BS. It's like having a small shop with 5 regular buyers and some tourists coming by once in a while and doing nothing to promote it, and telling the buyers "You want discounts and better products? Although you point might be a valid one it does not belong in this thread so if you want to reply to this then please start a new thread. I will be happy to debate issues and ideas with you as i have enough of my own that i think can help. But Please guys This thread is just about donations and anyone who would be interested in one. Today i had another forum message asking if i had any spare accounts for the PK server as someone wants to try the server out. This happens quite alot. Not just with me but other players too. I was chatting with Bkc56 and we decided it would be good to keep a few accounts over here so players could try out the server. (Sorta try before you buy lol ) So i guess what i am suggesting is if anyone has any low lvl accounts they dont use we could put them to good use and also promote the server at the same time. forum pm me or Bkc if you are able to help thanks Handy
