    For the sake of correct information; is it with every fail or with every critical fail that you loose action points when making books? There is quite a difference. On a side note, does anyone knows how to raise their maximum action points? ( which formula )

    Saving stones are not likely for this low cost of an item As Lorck already explained perfectly: It has nothing to do with ambers or "cost per AP", people who write books now would not harvest ambers anymore. Also, probably there will be other uses for AP too. Its not the AP alone, but the high skill required + AP factor. Unlike 'normal' items, with every fail you will loose AP, that makes the difference. Perhaps not for some, but for others it might, it all depends on your fail rate ( lvl above recommended ) and available time which might make saving stones interesting to use with items requiring action points. But as I said before only time will tell.

    Only supply and demand indeed will decide its market value, in such short time no one can predict their value yet, however considering the items needed and the skill levels required to make them I do foresee an increasing demand in saving stones.

  16. New medallion for mixers

    Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I am also in favor of a new medallion especially for the mixers, but not as suggested, if the medallion would give: ( A ) slightly higher exp ( B ) slightly higher chance of making rare item (much less then perk or cape but perhaps stackable with) ( C ) slightly less food needed for making the items. Either one these, a combination or a cocktail, would in my eyes have more chance for the medallion to be used and made. The NMT effect for tools is if I calculate the odds / price tag correct as a breakable medallion not really needed/wanted on the market, except by very few and on rare occasions. Anyone, no matter what level, can afford a new couple of pestles, chisels or hammers etc in no time. Less chance of breaking the higher priced tools is no matter how it hurts if they do a good thing for the ones who worked hard enough to be able to make them, so not a good thing. For the ‘less chance of stopping’ while mixing I would instead suggest an item similar how the “Point Defense” item is instead, high level to make but low ingredients needed, stackable and gone with each use. Just my thoughts and questions which arrised when I read the suggestion.

    A Harvester Medallion is useful because harvests are in large amounts (max emu) with many occurring chances while filling up. While making items the amount of times between starting and stopping is 10 - 13 items or so when making very low food needing items, (fire essences, cotton, ashes), (20 – 26 items (I guess) with big belly) the chances of the event happening is much much less for making anything above. Is it worth spending (and/or making) a breakable item with a price tag of above 7.5k gc to prevent this? The odds of course vary by the recommend level of the item, someone close or under the recommended level will have much more fails – and therefore more critical fails: chance of loosing the medallion – then someone who is far far above. Are these odds worth it for making these items with a medallion? To me it looks like a way to prevent breaking the higher priced tools (vial mold, arrow mold, alembic). Are they used often enough to justify this new item? Is it a good thing for the market if these tools break less then they do already?

    Excellent post, I can only confirm with what you are saying, the custom outfits are made in complete cooperation with and as requested by the clients, in most female requests the keywords are sexeh, glamorous and in case of armour impressively feminine. Being able to make some dreams come true takes indeed time but gratitude received is always well worth it.

    Hmm indeed, just click the option off is enough to not see the custom outfits. What I find strange though is that mainly the ones who don’t use it are making restricting order suggestions, aren’t there enough straightjackets and grey suits around us in real life? Have we forgotten where we came from? Aren’t we ( and/or ancestors ) all here on Draia not lost space travelers from different times and dimensions? From different planets with different tastes, habits and traditions? I am a true fan of custom clothing because it adds to the perfection of the whatever virtual world that particular player is living in and adds much more dimension into EL. Of course it is exactly like “The Emperor’s Clothes” but I feel much happier each day since I am able to wear a purple adventurers hat, matching the rest of my daily purple outfit, or to take my shirt off in a very hot cave or while wrestling lions, Draegonian male sweat, no matter how fresh, is not very attractive to most species. It is strange indeed to suddenly see an excitingly dressed lady, a superhero or a team of Star Trek passing by, but hé it’s Draia where anything is possible for the one’s who have Custom switched on. Being able to have ‘your dream’ hosted officially in-game for a reasonable price, is in my vision a very big step towards this game, perhaps one of best updates ever for a lot of players and the developers.

    Listened and watched your video’s, nice work, there is certainly something there but more polishing is needed to make it really shine. Practice will certainly make it perfect but accept and get used to dodging beer and rotten tomatoes on your way, fair or unfair, the smell of backstages, smoky venues, perhaps foreign languages, customs, rules and dangers, temptations of every kind, late night hours, horrible hotel rooms, long times away from partner, wife, child, the power of paparazzi and other monsters, studio technicians who knows it all better, the smell of money and the ones who would like to take it all away as fast as possible, vip’s and attitudes, the smell of diesel and unwashed t-shirts, interviews and being judged by the click of a button, airports and oh yeah lots of waiting, security guys, the list goes on an on, but there is one thing that makes it all worth it. Whatever way you choose, do it from within, with your brains and with passion and it will be groovy.

Reason why I came to my suggestion: How to get a team out To prevent the building of campsites and hotels within the instance, insert risk of being kicked out. The best way to do that is by not completing a task, this will be an incentive to improve team and try again. Non-violent Not all of players are interested in the hunting the wildlife or being hunted, there is a large group that avoids Lenny or invasions. A non-violent area providing its own particular dangers and challenges could be interesting for that part of EL. All levels (low medium pro wth) small / medium / large teams Challenges (items needed, either harvested or made inside) and time provided to complete could be adjusted according to level of the instance (noob to wth) so available for a large community instead of one group. If programmable (?) the size of the team starting the instance could adjust the difficulty of the instance. In my dreams a team of 3-4 players (all close to maximum level allowed inside) could make it to the final tier, if they are lucky, but wont be able to complete the final task, for this they would have needed a larger team. Profitability If the experience points gained by completing all tasks, except the final, justify the entry fee, I think we have a winner without risks. Perhaps double the waiting time for next try if being kicked out instead of when completed. Players can wear a rosto inside if a team fails to produce the items or find the next NPC in time, (once, it poofs with each team member) this means the team can still try to complete task and gain their exp or challenge they were going for, however team will be smaller by the players who have had no rostogols on them. You don’t have to wear one if can’t afford or won’t want to risk it in an instance but that’s up to the player and team. Variability There are so many items in EL, harvestable and every mixing skill, so many possibilities, of course there could be days that you would need items your team might not be able to produce or harvest in time, on one tier or another, either by missing a member in that skill or time pressure, what’s more fun then playing inside a lottery world where you don’t know what the next challenge is? I would only return with a better team and try again. Unexplored maps New maps, undiscovered, with the random located NPC’s and their random tasks, I bet there are plenty who are interested in discovering the shortest / best ways to complete and solve the challenges. Depleatable sources (still don’t know if I write this word correct) a harsh word in the normal world, not really needed but could be another dimension inside this instance. Apologies for my many words instead of my brief above, and apologies if misunderstood, it was just a suggestion to add to this brilliant idea.
  25. Instance for Mixers

    Keep it simple, no Leonard or waves of creatures are needed, a ticking down clock will suffice. Bring requested items to NPC before times run out, if not out, if successful clue to next (random located) NPC for next task, find within time limit or team is out, repeat till final challenge (perhaps a challenge from the next level instance) Only final NPC might give very very rarely a drop, for rest only exp for the team (per successful tier, in the skill of the items required). Of course dangerous area’s, (poisonous etc) and perhaps, oh boy, depletable sources, but for rest in my opinion that’s all that’s needed for harvesters and mixers to get their kicks. If out waiting time for a few days before next try, perhaps carry a rosto to prevent being kicked out (once).
