    At this particular location there were before ‘the big clean up of harvestables too close to storage’ more ore deposits available at this source. It is a ‘secret’ location, not a regular open cave or quarry. I assume that the one deposit left was perhaps an omission or oversight.

    If I remember correctly there are more references to Acelon in the dialogue at the same NPC, I think (but could be wrong) that you have discovered a little bit of the sense of humor from the developer.
  3. I have broken enough of them, to conclude that I will continue using them. Use them always when harvesting, except when very bad astro. Sometimes it last 7 days or more, sometimes less, sometimes I break two in a day. Considering the extra blessings from MN, the decreased chance of breaking of harvesting tools at location, the extra gold coin ( if lucky just under half the value of a new one ) and the convenience of continuing to harvest at most mini events I consider this a very pleasant tool. If this convenience is worth it to you in gold coins depends on your own situation, same as in PK, if you can’t afford to loose it, think twice before you use it.

    Thank you so much Aislinn for relieving us temporarily from this vermin. Thank you Affliction for speaking out loud the same thoughts which I also, and probably many of us had. Back on subject, I also support any improvement to the magic in EL be it new spells, new specific items or clothing, limited to minimum level required, or improving in strength as level improves, limited to taking perks to be able to, tied to a god or spending pp. Have seen above and in older posts on subject already excellent suggestions, hope some of them will be taken into consideration.

    I am just glad we are all different, with different opinions, views and different goals, prerogatives and play style in game, together we all make this virtual world happening and alive. A daily quest suggestion purely based on exploring without the need to kill/produce is a nice addition to the already existing skill dailies, and I am sure that most of the skills, which are not yet covered, will/might be considered also. As an explorer: The Global Quests are back on, perhaps it is an opportunity to experience first hand how exciting and fun an explorer daily could be when the chance arise.

    A great suggestion indeed Nova, I support the idea and have something perhaps to add to it for the long run, to prevent it becoming a simple daily mapwalk from A to B ( etc ) once the coords and details have been discovered, to add a little, call it …spice. Perhaps add the extra challenge to the daily of besides finding the locations to also “catch” a random x amount of the required species. Only a few, the same amount maximum as the locations needed to find, one day (for example) 8 locations to find, 3 bugs to catch, next time, same map, 5 locations to find, 5 bugs, etc) These species can only be found while harvesting that specific plant/ore/tree that you found. Each location has only a limited amount of those species in an EL day available, you get a pop up message while harvesting when/if you find one. ( “you have found one of those critters, only X to go”) Or not… they could have been found already at that particular location for that day. ( EL time ) Just a thought For the long run, it would be great to see it after a certain amount of completions, as an bronze/silver/gold award.

We can only guess at Radu’s intention of the reason why it is needed, perhaps it is not at all about finding and visiting a potion school and doing the task, perhaps it’s a subtle tutorial nudge that spending pickpoints also into nexus are required to progress yourself in a skill in this game. We can also only guess which % of players have had already a vegetal nexus of 1 or more before this tutorial add on quest was implemented, only Radu would know and he does not strike me as a person who does implement his ideas not carefully and well intended.

    You call it fear mongering, drama queen speak or just humbug… my opinion is that your verdicts are a possible side effect of tunnel vision. I would call most thoughts as posted here in this thread, and the threads and polls before this one on the same subject, as a balanced pondering and valid points on both scales, reasonable probability risk calculations, looking over both edges, and beyond. Ignoring all that and just sticking your head deep in the sand and waiting when the first probe will arrive is not the way most people think and make decisions. Please do not assume that I, or/and others who decided to raise their voices here, have not played/are playing any other similar games, more then thy might think, one of the reasons why some do stick around here in EL and want to see it grow instead of being degraded. So far I have not seen any valid point that convinced me that multi will be a beneficial suggestion to the enjoyment and growth of EL.

    Normally I also check webpages first before travelling. There are bot owners who would mind if their gc amount on the bots would be made public, I don't, but if not too difficult to code: add the option to opt out/in and any botowner would be happy. Its up to the customer to trust and travel to bots without their gc amount not public.

    The way I see it: this game was/is build upon 3 principles: Luck, Chance and making Decisions. Luck in making or failing the items, or being able to slay that creature or not. Chance; the making of a rare item or finding the rare drop from a creature or harvestable. Decisions: with every overall level you get a point how to shape (add character) to your character, will I take that perk and change the future of that character so accordingly or increase that attribute or that nexus, or... No matter if you’re a newbie or one of the oldest, every time, with every overall level it is…Decision time. The community / player base of EL is very diverse, as humans are, not all find it boring to harvest or create, the same as not all find running after (or from) the wildlife their thing. And that’s how players specialized themselves. If there is something I cannot make (for whatever reason) or cannot kill (for whatever reason) I look for the best available specialist. That’s why this is a multiplayer game, not a single player. Every ‘creating’ specialist, even ‘all-rounders’, knows by the Decisions he/she made that he/she will never will be a great pure fighter, as some are, who specialized themselves into being a great pure fighter instead. That is their specialty. For a few years now there are beside the hydro bar way, stones to correct possible wrongly made choices, permanent or temporarily, I suppose by popular demand, which already lowered the importance of ‘Decisions’. Just suppose, if, if it all would happen, that we all would be able to create ourselves a private team, there would be no more need of the specialists, the ‘team’ would be self fed / self supportive. Sales to/from other players and/or bots will slow down to a stop, all removal stones in-game would become totally useless and would no longer have any value, the demand of for hydro could grind to a halt, some perks have no longer any meaning and just become a pp fest, and most important Decision time has gone on a permanent holiday, one of the pillars of the game. Just think if all, or lets say 70% of player base would have a private specialists team of 2-3-4 alts online, with a player base of lets say 300 it would be suddenly aprox 950 players online, of which aprox 650 afk-zombies, claiming spawns, storage space, harvestables, on the look out at pk maps. etc. etc. Even with just 25% of player base it would be approximately 225 extra afk-zombies. Is this how we want EL to look like and be? Besides that, with every day we improve our team less and less interaction between other players in our every day life is required. Is this not exactly something why we are playing a multiplayer roleplaying game instead of single? edit:typo

    With all due respect Korrode, Vanyel made a valid point, are you willing to pay the consequences if the experiment does not work and a rollback of x many months of the whole player base ( some not even giving a moments thought about multi playing ) would be required? Proper testing outside the game would be a first requirement, this change would involve more, much more then just a dent/bump into the economy.

    I agree that it would be a bad thing, mostly for the reasons already explained above. You cant even think of making any decisions without looking at worst case scenarios also, ignoring these would be the silliest thing to do. We are playing a game, not a factory line. The setup and game engine of wow cant be compared to EL. The boring bits as some call it, are as said part of the game, and if you take anti you know the price. I don’t even want to suggest it, but if, if it would be approved why not have it then that first character is free, and second (etc) only available from the shop, so it would benefit the game in that way. And I am not thinking cheap, perhaps from $100 from first alt and increasing with every next one. But still, the personal gain of the few would destroy the essence of the game in itself.

    Out of the blue, thinking out loud: Perhaps a wedding outfit, in your special EL style, of course for her and him. Don’t know if possible but… feminine shoes or otherwise boots especially for da ladies, in many colours in tune with the available dresses/skirts, perhaps with one - matching all - handbag. (Perhaps add some stats to that to have another fun weapon too) I am sure there will be a market for both; heard one cannot have enough of them. For the guys, more colours available perhaps of the existing designs or a new exciting one. An original EL wizzards/witches hat will probably please quite a few of us also.     … and they are all effected, if for instance you have finished the instance in the outfit which you would not wear before and decide afterwards its time to make some more ( for example ) magic essences or weapons/armour, and notice then that your previously nice and green astro for this has turn red, you would need another potion. I also think it’s a funky suggestion but also still think this suggestion is very vague and needs more pondering regarding effects and duration, ingredients, quantity produced by ingredients and availablility ( level required and perhaps AP used )

    When I read the title of the suggestion I already imagined summed creatures wandering aimlessly, not being able to fight, due to lack of vision by the spell. Also next thing in mind was a counter summon (stone) idea ‘guide dog” but alas this is not what was intended and indeed already as said before smite summons works for that.

    Thank you Aislinn, Roja, I have been looking forward to the day that the game could also be supported by imagination and creativity. * Puts a new feather in his purple adventurehat and throws it in the air of joy * If you don’t mind, I do have a few questions, some may look silly, but I could not find the answers and hope with this you will also need to answer them only once. 1. Clothing must be in the medieval theme, tasteful, and of high quality. With medieval I asume you don’t mean they have to look to be made for Humans, it can be also in typical Dwarven, Drageoni, Orchan, Gnome etc. style? 2. Any skin showing must be natural, tasteful, and respectable. Is the suggestion of nibbles ( you know the word ) allowed on bare male torso’s, or do they have to be taped off with black sellotape like Lady Gaga ( who? ) or sanded away like Barbie’s Ken? 5. Combat items (armor, weapons, combat-centric capes) must be easily recognizable. Could you please define recognizable? Can a Black Dragon armour change colour or does it has to remain black ( and same for the other armours ) ? Does a mirror cape have to be black ? Prices: - What would be the price for guild items? ( like guild capes, shields etc ) and is that possible?. - Is there a discount when uploading several items in one go? - with per item I assume, apologies for double checking, for instance in case of a torso, including the arms, or is this separate? N. edit typo and additional question: I will send you my hat as soon as I managed to convert to the required format, became all blurry for some reason, is it possible to send items in the current .dds format?
