Nice idea, and from a security viewpoint I would say yes. However, if I accidentally typed my password in local or a channel, I would immediately change it. It also means client has to run grep on every line of text I type. Also char sharers could notify passwords by other means just as easily, so I think it's much work (ok, I know you said 3 lines ) for negligible gain. Just my 2p worth, of course.

Did anyone mention that you need luck to actually be able to TS down? I find the 'wastage' of potions ridiculous sometimes, especially since the effect lasts only a few minutes. Of course, it's ok if you have loads of gc, but what will you do when this silly side-effect of the potion is removed or changed? And don't say never....it's already been changed once.

I see that you're a Ubuntu user. Make I ask if you have ever installed anything from source under Ubuntu? I fell into the same trap when I tried Ubuntu a while back and was shocked when I found out that make is usually not present on a default Ubuntu installation! I am pretty sure this is the root of your problem, so the solution offered in the link should work.

Ok, so the question is a month old, but it is unanswered, and this is my thread, so I'm seizing this chance to bump it! @arthur I'm not sure how much progress you've made since your post, but many people would argue that crafting is certainly not an 'easy' skill. The ingredients for most items (crafting or otherwise) are listed in your encyclopedia, which you can access by clicking the question-mark icon in-game. There is also a key combination that opens the ency....not sure if it's Alt-E ot Ctrl-E - I'm posting during my luch break at work. Also check the posts by molime and Ghrae in this thread. They are currently the top crafters in-game, and so should know what they are talking about. You may also find the CEL website useful. For example, information about jewellery may be found here. In fact, it has just about everything you may wish to know about the game, and makes nice reading too

I think this is a rather prejudiced comment. What colour is his passport? How does one 'prove' that he is American? The last time I checked, the only requirement was to be born in the USA - which is easily proven.
