Derzelas is much closer to a storage than Mariana, use her services instead

Cat Crosses the Courtyard! (uh yea, re-reading Wheel of Time at the moment )
-
LOL who bought it, I'd be willing to sell that person a couple of Rostogol Stones at 100k each

I don't know why the talk of limiting storage keeps going on after the boss said it wouldn't happen.

This is when using the client version 1.8.0, with resolution set to 640x480x32, on OpenSUSE 11.0. When I set the Chat Text Size option to 0.84, the last character of a line is not shown while typing, however it appears when the following character forces a line break (i.e. the complete word is too long to fit on the visible line (plus the one character I don't see)) or when the message is sent.

Moin Gampa und eine frohes neues Jahr an alle! PS: Gampa, wiki wieder da: http://el-wiki.net

@Silvatica: The update zip contains only the changed files, you need the files from your previous installation (1.7.0). Either copy them with cp -uR <el-1.7.0-data-directory>/* <el-1.8.0-data-directory>/ or simply unzip and then copy the files to the old directory with cp -R <el_update-directory>/* <el-1.7.0-data-directory>/ (Make sure, your ~/.elc/main/el.ini points to the correct data-dir). For me the client works on OpenSuse 11.0 after installing libpng3 (not claiming I did a lot of testing, basically everything turned off on this machine anyways, but it runs with this old GeForce 4 MX 440 which is good )

Reminder: I gave you 200 USD so the elm files would be gzipped. At least that was my understanding of that transaction (see this topic, I already posted the paypal transaction id in the windows update thread). Your replies in that thread seemed to indicate that we could expect that to happen with this update...

The wiki is back at http://el-wiki.net, you can find (and expand/correct etc.) a list of acronyms and abbreviations at http://el-wiki.net/Acronyms.

Just a reminder to please gzip the elm files. Thanks. (7TM71999YG3022311)

That's because as Ent said there's no linux binary provided. And I suspect the windows client still has version 1.7.0 but is compiled from latest CVS with the new features... (and I don't think you want to get into wine's problem with the windows binary here).

2k Energy Essences, please

Counters are stored locally, get a HEX editor and add them yourself

Correct, that's not only what I meant but also what I said

Easier way: Just give all players on the same level the same number in the table, i.e. show the rank that the ranking page shows you. Say 12 people are tied for rank 34, then those would all show as number 34 and the player with the next lower rank would show as 34+11=45; etc.

Filter password from messages sent

Think of all the bug reports "I can't say 'password|secret|12345' in game"... -
Well, it's Entropy's point of view. But I think he'll appreciate that you grant him the right of free speech on his own forums
-
I think Entropy took up the idea in 2007 and there was a poll on something pretty similar in general chat at the time, judging from the fact that it isn't in game as of today the results of that poll apparently didn't justify spending time on implementing the feature.

The "oh so secret" short cut by ways of that chiseled chest has been changed and it takes now about the same time as the walk through Arius' Magic School. I think the typo in the message you get when you use that "secret" is still in place though.

Even better: do both.

Tentative addition to 'Suggestions forum' rules
Ermabwed replied to Alia's topic in Suggestions - General, Misc.
I don't know if it is possible with the forum's software, I know it is for ZetaBoards, but perhaps "tags" could be enabled for this forum. Then threads could be tagged with keywords to ease searching for them. Tagging is done by the person starting the thread and perhaps we could get one sticky thread with tags and where to apply what tag. This should improve the results of the rather crappy forum search engine.
