Perhaps you should try to change you ATI drivers to recent one .. that support OpenGL. But thinks it's not the problem. The other problem that could appear is the firewall ... the port 80 of the eternal land server give you some stats of the server ... so i think it's the main problem. The logon screen should be on you computer as far as i know the game So ... sorry ... try to aske someone with high bandwith server to create some TCP tunnel on port 80 for you that conenct to port 2000 of eternal lands server that should give you possibility to play.

You can use magic as a start of combat, and why a mage can't fight ? There is ppl that don't like warriors like me And the quicklist should be a very good idea, with some key shortcut. In fact magic stuff is like fighting ... question of balance Another little thing that could be done for magic ... instead of everyone got sigils ... perhaps god can give you some ... ultmate sigils depend on gods, so you can't cast ultimate spells of the game And all gods can give you some more, there is some slots left in sigil list

Another little thing to add to this should be some shortcut, or prepared spells, to alloy us casting spells during combat The only spells easy to launch are restorations... but no aggressives ones Perhaps some keyboard shorcut would be interesting too.

That should be interesting to change the color of the name or the life of a summoned creature. So you know quickly and easily if you are meaking a mistake or no.

But how do you do money ? Becoming a warrior ? Harvesting is good to create your own potions, essences and to earn money to buy magic stuff. So need to become miner to become a magician

I use Linux at home a Fedora Core 1, and the game run perfectly with last drivers from NVIDIA Not slow at all.
