I would uninstall EL. Search computer for any file containing eternal, lands, DEV-++IDE, whatever else you can think of and delete them. Empty recycle bin. Clean disk. Defragment disk (can take hours) then re-install and try. If it doesn't work, I'm sorry for wasting your time.

Do you happen to have a SiS video card by any chance?

Dunno Entropy, I'm not the computer wiz, that would be my hubby and he's going to figure this out <I hope> I cleaned disc, defraged, uninstalled, reinstalled and same message still comes up. I'm sad. I really like this game and just started getting the hang of it. Ooooooooh well. Hopefully he can get it going again.

I get:

"Developed using the Dev-C++ IDE has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Error Log:

Error: Can't open file "./textures/fontv.bmp"

No Anim: ./animations/player_slash1.caf

(a hundred more of the line: No Anim: ./animations/player_slash1.caf)

No Anim: ./animations/player_slash1.caf

No Anim: ./animations/canine_pain.caf

Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle5.bmp"

Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle6.bmp"

Error: Can't open file "./textures/particle7.bmp"

Error: Can't open file "quest.log"

System:

Windows XP

Celeron 2.60Ghz

256 Ram

32 Ram video

S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR

I have made all the adjustments to get rid of error log. Now I get a blank error log after I try and log in. But it still shuts down saying "Developed using the Dev-C++ IDE has encountered a problem and needs to close."

One thing you might want to try is upgrading your video drivers, and playing with el.ini and removing some of the options there.

If not, get a real video card, such as an ATI or Nvidia card.

I have a S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR for my video card. If this is the problem, how much do these ATI or Nvidia cards cost?
