Well not exactly, because as you can see from this thread even moderated channels come under fire by people who just have to challenge anything and everything: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11521 The 2 major problems of channel moderating are: 1) Always having somebody online to handle it 2) People who challenge a moderators decision and do not respect the decision made. And we all know people like that, no matter how reasonable the mute or kick or warning was, people are gonna shout "abuse" "not fair" "hey, he did it, why can't I" etc... The only problem I can see with kala's suggestion is getting good coverage round the clock...not counting whatever programming limitations there are, I know nothing of that.

Actually newbies don't get put into channel 1 anymore. To get to that, type #jc 1 That will put you in a channel with some newbie helpers and other newbies who also need help.

It's not supposed to be easy to reverse your choices. You are supposed to think and read first before you pick. It's a simple give and take...if you want something, you have to give something.

How about a welcome kit? Either have a newbie enter the game with some basic supplies in his inventory or have supply kits (bags) spawn at wraith where the new players enter? Supplies could include some food, some minor healing potions, a small amount of gc, and maybe a wooden shield.

Hmmm, kinda like the teleporting when harvesting...something could trigger the people to get tp'd a bit away after afking for a certain amount of time.

Fighting creatures isn't the same as pk. Creatures behave the same every time, you know what they can do and you know what you can do. Nothing changes. You know your limits and choose the creatures accordingly and set your pattern accordingly. Pk you have to think fast and react fast, it's different every time depending on who's attacking you, levels, equipment used, magic items used, whether you get double teamed, whatever, you need to be able to maneuver much more quickly and when your icon is different for each place you use it, you constantly have to scroll through to find the right one.

I didn't do the poll question because I like the new interface for everything except fighting/training. It is horrible for fighting, no question. Like elise says, the icons keep changing and its never what you think its gonna be. There is no way to be efficient and fast. And all you people who say "yeah its fine for fighting" probably do not need to use dis rings, a regular ring if you dis, cast restore spells, drink a mr every now and then, add or subtract weapons or armour or whatever...all at the same time like pkers and trainers do. Now I'm no pker, but I do train in pk areas and do need to use the dis ring upon occasion My stats aren't top 20 but they are decent enough that I do know what I'm talking about. On the other hand, the interface is pretty cool for other stuff
