  1. No More Mirroring Cape

Problem with bp+nmt combo is the cape would never really break, since capes break when you get hit and you would only use sucha cape when you were just hitting.
  2. Rabbitman’s Attribute Guide for ‘Rounders Who Want to Tank I get asked fairly often how people can optimize their individual build for fighting with the number of pick points they have available. I decided to make this guide as a baseline for those who would like to have 30 pp in nexus without buying any hydro nexus OR taking many negative perks. Here is a quick goal of what we are going for: Attributes: p/c/r/w/i/v 48/48/20/32/4/4 Nexus: h/a/v/i/a/m 7/0/6/6/6/5 Perks: Power Hungry Scotty Died I Can't Dance Collateral Damage Overall Level: 150 With this build you will be able to tank or participate in any instance in game once you get some experience working with it. You will also be able to harvest/mix anything in game (minus nv/saving stone and summoning items…if you want to summon and not do crafting can take 5 animal nexus instead of 5 magic). This next section will break down how I would go about building a new character as a rounder and instance. The recommended mixing skills are there to help meet the OA level recommendation. If you want to have more nexus than recommended at any level, that is fine but it would be best if you would grind some more OA levels with harvest/mixing so that you could still have the attributes as listed at each stage. Your First Instance (60-80) Note: This build has not been tested tanking the 60-80 instance, but from my experiences with other builds and accounts it should be ok once you know how to fight. Attributes: p/c/r/w/i/v 32/32/8/32/4/4 Nexus: h/a/v/i/a/m 7/0/0/4/0/0 Perks: Power Hungry Scotty Died Skills: Oa* 85 Att 70 Def 70 Mag 49+ Alch 60+ Harv 40+ *Ideally OA would be 101 for: 32/48/8/32/4/4 Your Second Instance (80-100) Note: This build has not been tested tanking the 80-100 instance, but from my experiences with other builds and accounts it should be ok once you know how to fight. Attributes: p/c/r/w/i/v 32/40/8/32/4/4 Nexus: h/a/v/i/a/m 7/0/4/4/0/0 Perks: Power Hungry Scotty Died Collateral Damage Skills: Oa* 104 Att 90 Def 90 Mag 55+ Alch 60+ Harv 60+ *Ideally OA would be 116 for: 36/48/8/32/4/4 Your Third Instance (100-120) Note: This build has not been tested tanking the 100-120 instance, but from my experiences with other builds and accounts it should be ok once you know how to fight. Attributes: p/c/r/w/i/v 48/48/8**/32/4/4 Nexus: h/a/v/i/a/m 7/0/5/6/0/0 Perks: Power Hungry Scotty Died Collateral Damage I Can't Dance*** Skills: Oa* 126 Att 110 Def 110 Mag 60+ Alch 70+ Harv 70+ *Ideally OA would be 134 for: 48/48/16/32/4/4 **The 8 reasoning will hurt in this instance. At approximately 20-24 reasoning you will be much better at hitting arctic chimerans, cockatrice, and cocorals in a team. However, this guide is about being able to tank these mobs, so being able to hit them isn’t really as important. ***The reason we take I Can’t Dance here is because at this point you will stop dodging mobs well anyway, so having 2 on you won’t make too much difference. For Pr0, Pr0 who want to farm, and WTF Instances Attributes: p/c/r/w/i/v 48/48/20/32/4/4 Nexus: h/a/v/i/a/m 7/0/6/6/6/0 Perks: Power Hungry Scotty Died Collateral Damage I Can't Dance Skills: Oa* 145 Att 130 Def 130 Mag 70+ Alch 70+ Harv 70+ *Ideally OA would be 150 to get our 30 nexus Where to go from here: From this point on I would recommend adding to will until it is maxed, and removing I Can’t Dance when you can. Then put the remainder of pick points into reasoning. Once you get to L179 overall, you could have a build like this: Attributes: p/c/r/w/i/v 48/48/28/48/4/4 Nexus: h/a/v/i/a/m 7/0/6/6/6/5 Perks: Power Hungry Scotty Died Collateral Damage Hope this helps, comments would be appreciated. 3. Rabbitman's Attribute Guide for 'Rounders Who Want to Tank

The main advantage to a build like this is that you are only putting attributes in 4 locations instead of 5. If you were going for an i/v build with the same number of pp you would get something like: 48/48/20/4/20/16 That build doesn't give enough mana to tank high level creatures without dodges nor enough instinct to dodge high level creatures. The five attribute build just doesn't work with as few pp as are available to a rounder.
  4. bought shyhermit for a freind

Yes if you are buying a new char on no alt restrictions it violates your restriction. I know a few accounts that were banned for this (e.g. Ambrose account). However, aislinn will usually work with you if you are nice, respectful, and explain yourself beforehand. Never been on restrictions so all 2nd hand knowledge :>.
  5. Rabbitman's Attribute Guide for 'Rounders Who Want to Tank

Eva is nice but unnecessary. If you have extra pp after getting the recommended build you can take it and it will be helpful. But remember this was planned out for a character with 30 nexus from oa level.
  6. Rabbitman's Attribute Guide for 'Rounders Who Want to Tank

True, if you don't mind not hitting at all moving the extra 16 reasoning to make will 48 will make you a better tank. This would make the 120-140 build: 48/48/4/48/4/4. Main reason I kept the reasoning in the build instead of more will was to be able to hit the acs/yeti better on the first wave since the team doesn't typically have a designated tank on that wave. Oh and the +40 health from the last 16 will doesn't make much of a difference if you can't restore over ~350 anyway, so difference between 20 reason and 48 will here is pretty much do you want to hit acs and have a smaller mana pool or vice versa.
  7. Stuck up MAD guild

#1 - Cleaning logs helps much in future kk . #2 - Cher said something like..."You made it clear you didn't want to be a part of the team." I disagree with this...his words were poorly chosen but his intent was the EXACT opposite based on this little exchange: Cher gave him the ok to sit at storage and afk while the melee fighters killed the giants and only come back for casty waves. Instead of doing this, he wanted to range the giants to help out without hurting the team's bottom line. This is him wanting to be part of the team. #3 - However, this exchange makes things more fuzzy: Without being there, hard to judge what to make of that exchange. Typically, MAD likes to have casty at 500 health above spawn and lower it down with one ranger then have cher flee and a ranger take a shot from long away after she moves away to spawn. Sounds like when they all fled TvMan decided to spawn the giants himself, did it successfully and died. As long as the other rangers and the tank weren't nearby at the time, I don't really see the problem with this. I don't see the big deal if people want to risk their own rosto without endangering others. That said, if the tank was still there I don't think TvMan intentionally spawned giants on them based on the conversation. On a side note: This is a good reason to have capped invasions instead of only uncapped. The approach to killing higher mobs changes once the team can melee them on their own. Biggest difference between 140 cap and uncapped is the approach to killing little blues and giants (Casty). RM
  8. Newbie Helper

Just a quick point. If newbie_helper gives free stuff and newhope were to then kill the same people later that would be a rule 5 violation anyway correct? The noobie would be acting as middle man between newbie_helper and newhope. *whistles*
  9. Newbie Helper

Sounds like a good idea, I'll help out as best I can. Out of what is listed above I can: ppls who can write tutorials; ppls who can make video based tutorials; ppls who can make screenshots based tutorials; ppls who can spend some time in game sitting in IP and answering some newbies questions; ppls who can donate some newbie stuff for our team (so far thinking of leather's, aug's, exc's, some gc's, some ess's and so nothing valuable and so far its just idea) As far as web development stuff goes, I can fumble my way into making something if really needed but not my area of expertise.
  10. Selling storage

I'll buy essences tab and srs. Edit: +emps
  11. Red Dragon spawn is taken

The problem with the red dragon is that the scales are a limited resource. Just adding more spawns would flood the market with more scales than the market could support. To be honest, it's already pretty close since instances have become slightly less popular. The real question is why do people hunt the red dragon? If it is for profit, adding more spawns won't help because then the scales will become near worthless. If it is for the exp, there are better spawns for that too. If it is for the "game experience" of killing the dragon, there should not be a problem with a single spawn..if it is that back logged then you can get a similar experience on the black dragon. From what I've seen, most people who complain about the rd cave being full are doing it primarily for the profit.
  12. Looking for Tank as permanent PvP partner (and PvP FAQ)

If you are looking to power level defense with pvp, Will is much more valuable than vitality since 48 will yields ~500 more xp/min flee training than 4 will (or 750 more/min with god). The problem with this training style is that if you use the same partner all the time, your xp/min exponentially decreases as you both level defense and neglect attack. There are some very good PvE options if you just want to power level defense but probably shouldn't be mentioned on the forum .

  17. Auctioning a recon day stone doesnt seem like a good idea imo. It's a global affect...I don't think it would actually bring in much money since the stone would be used by whoever bought it anyway... If you are talking about fund raising with special days, better idea would be to auction a single special day sponsored by radu. Put up 4-5 options and people vote by giving radu rostos. The #day with the highest rosto count wins and radu magically changes the day to the winner at a predetermined time.
  18. Addict

Imo a better perk would be less food used per step while haxing ...or could even be integrated in with the already existing power saving perk. But I'm not sure it really needs a change tbh.
  19. Large team pr0 instance (for fun)

    I'll go if I'm around.
  20. bmoc55 : A scamming alt

As far as I understand, the mafia in real life are like a family. They scam those outside the family. However, they help those in the family out in exchange for promised favors. So if you are actually trying to RP as a mafia, you should of said something like: "So you lost your crown of life hm? Don't worry about it, I'll replace it for you in exchange for a favor later. You lose it again and you're on your own." Or something like that.
  21. Selling "few" items

I'll pay more for white tiger fur and I'll buy all enriched essences. Rabbitman
  22. Remove Ingore levels from Dragons

If you really want to cut down on dragon farming, make red, black, and ice dragons crit like giants, and make them all unpinnable.
  23. Hey all, I would like to trade my Human Removal Stone + 10kgc for your Animal Removal Stone. PM me here or in game if interested. Thanks, rbm
  24. When you were a nub

One of the biggest deterants to just increasing the drops in those two instances is because of alternative characters. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy having multiple characters and experimenting with different builds and aspects of the game. I also think having a few alts in an instance can make it run more smoothly and help newer players learn to do them on their own. However, there are a few problems. Iirc, the 60-80 instance is the only instance with a single available map. This means that only one team can be inside at a time. If the drops were increased to make it farmable by a team of alts, I doubt true newer players would get to go often because the map would always be full. Developers could increase the number of maps to fix this problem, but then there could be more teams of alts going and farming it so I don't necessarily think this is the best solution. I think the biggest problem for actual new players as far as instances are concerned is obtaining the gear to go. The minimum acceptable gear in my opinion is a steel set with holam and a great sword. According to bots atm, gear costs are: Holam: 62k Steel Plate: 81k Steel Cuisses: 33k Steel Greaves: 25k Great Sword: 40k Mirror Cape: 14k (Tank only) or BP Cape: 3k (Fighters) Short Bow: 2k 257kgc. That is not including sigils for magic, training magic level (L49 highly recommended), resources, Rostogol Stones, AP for ranging, Mule Levels, or NMT cape if they can't afford the pp. If you are a harv/mixer, that is on the order of 30-40 hours of focused gold coin making for someone who already knows what they are doing to get the base equipment needed to go. Alts typically have better gear sinec the players know what they need and how to make gold coins. Just increasing the drops won't get the newer players inside the instance. If you want more true newer players to go, there needs to be a much cheaper equipment alternative.
