  2. Camera Follow Mode

    Alpha around the character-no, because you need to see the objects on all sides(especially small objects)-unless I'm not getting what you're trying to say. Plus only big objects that obscure the view of your character would need to be alpha's-trees, huge rocks, buildings. And you wouldn't want objects on the other side of your char. obscured. There's an option in the config settings so you don't click on the objects and move towards them. I forget which..mouse bug maybe?

    There are a few settings at the bottom of the sky&cam window to adjust the "springiness". I don't know how much else it can be improved upon. The transparent object thing might be nice though.
  4. Ok, to make it fit a little nicer.... The box around Appearance has a lot of border space that can be taken in(top/bottom)-although it would be good if ONLY the text in it(Head/Skin/etc) could be upped a size, it's just a tad small-this shouldn't affect the size of the box though-looks like there's plenty of room between the >>'s Make the Show Password text a bit smaller and move it up a bit-making it closer to the Confirm PW box than the 2 buttons at the bottom. The error text if necesssary can go in the 3D view at the bottom.
  5. That looks very nice! I think it's best to make the background a solid color. Add the Design Your Character title to the top, and them move up the UN/PW stuff so there can be room for the error message below the show password line. The back button can go right next to the done button-the oval around done can be made smaller.
  6. Testing the horses on the test server

    Those who are getting displaced from the horse: you are using REAL horse whistles, right? And NOT the #horse command? (#horse command will displace, the real horse whistle shouldn't...)
  7. Hi there, that looks pretty good! I think it would be best though if we don't use tabs, and just have all the information on the side to make it even easier. This is the mock up I did before: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&section=viewimage&img=1204 The bar should be opaque like you have it, and the help text can just be centered on the 3d view screen at the bottom-or even possibly in the bottom bar. And like bluap said, keeping the bottom bar is probably best. Thank you for volunteering to work on this

    It's always possible for map bugs to get introduced. Just do normal playing with the client data and if you find a bug post it.

    Whenever you do have some time, I do think this would be the best way. I noticed some "see through" bugs with the medallions when I had the vertex program off. But since I reordered the xml file like you said to do, it looks fine with it turned on.

    Elf ninja, that's just the shadows. Turn them off and it won't do that. It sucks but, unless you know how to program that stuff really well who knows if there's anything that can be done about it

    Hi, ok I tried it and it still happens. I also tried changing the line in the shader...so yeah you're right, I guess it's not related-it was just at this time that I first noticed these things And I'm sorry, I was partially wrong about the weapon effects-the particles are still working(I was looking at the axes which apparently don't have particles) it's just that with animation program turned on the glowy swords/axes show as opaque, and when off they show as transparent. But probably also not related..sorry for the needless trouble.

    Please always post exactly what these "SOME armors" are, and all the character races/sexes you see them on. Also those with the "invisible legs" bug, can you try turning "USE Animation Program" on/off, see what happens?

    Ok you all can test the neck items by typing: #set_neck username # where # can be from 0-13. Please test this as much as possible and if you notice anything strange with the models post screenshots! Also, we need testing done for fighting on horses! Type #horse username and a testing horse will show up for you to ride. Fight monsters, each other, during invasions, etc..change armor/weapons/magic try all kinds of things with this. Post screenshots and details of anything odd with the models or animations.

    Turn off custom clothing-do not use it at all for this test!, then it should work.

    Ok, it's alright Schmurk-thanks for your help thus far However is it possible to revert the changes, until someone has time to work on it more? I guess we have to pick what we want: no shadows on transparent, or the other bugs I mentioned above. I think the no shadows is the better option.

    Use animation program also changes the appearance of the special swords and there are no longer any particles visible for them.

  24. Oh, one thing I just noticed, can the NPC list be arranged to go vertically A-Z instead of horizontally across rows(the alphabetizing)? Like first fill columns, then rows?
