In an attempt to support and stimulate the growth of new players in EL, LION will suspend its usual guild application requirements and accept 2 players who are newer to the game than we usually require. No particular levels in any skill are required. LION is looking only for hard-working, positive, mature, team-oriented players who play the game regularly and consistently. To learn more about our guild, please visit our forum and review the information here: http://www.lionguild.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=15 To apply, visit and post to this link: http://www.lionguild.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1107 The application period will be open for two weeks after which we will choose the two applicants we feel are the best fit for the guild.

Last day for applications. We've received several good ones so far. Hope to see yours in the mix. Thanks Infa for helping to keep this topic active \o/

"Evil" players are great. They motivated me to level a/d far beyond what the game itself could have done.

Three more days to get your applications in for consideration.

As I mentioned to Radu a few weeks ago and in another post, I fully support the idea of a public message from the monster as it dies stating what it dropped. Would only need to be for a few of the larger monsters. It puts all team members on equal footing that way, whether you trust everyone or do not. I'm not sure why we would want to discourage participation in killing some of the larger monsters in invasions if there is one person killing it that you don't trust and has a reasonable opportunity to get the bag at the end. The public message is clean, simple and puts all participants on a more equal footing. Then, if the person who gets the bag doesn't share it, at least you know and know to avoid helping him/her in the future.

I had to change computers today. This computer has an ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 Series graphic card. I downloaded the newest driver for the card from ATI's site here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/wind...mp;lang=English Both before and after installing the new driver, when I start EL, all I get is a crazy greyscale weave across the screen and I have to reboot. Any advice?

Thanks, Andy. I'll give that a shot

I have suggested to radu that large boss-type monsters announce what they drop in public as they die so there's no question.

iedp removal stone, please. i'll contact you in game.

I'd like to attend, don't care about the options, all, some, none is fine with me.

I have difficulty understanding how this "feature" encourages newer or even older players to pk. My understanding for the no drop and capped changes to the arenas was to encourage more people to experiment with pk. People go to these arenas with no rosto because it's a "no drop" arena. They feel some comfort that they can get some pk experience without losing their items or having ubber char's wipe them out in a few blows. Now what we have is a hybrid arrangement that serves none of what I thought were the intended purposes of the nd/capped arenas. Maybe my assumptions for their purpose are wrong.

Great contest, infa, unique and fun.

This concept has been discussed b4 but not with these details. I'm 100% behind this idea.

if you can turn it off and on, I'm all for it. -
I must say that you're missed and remembered. I went to check which gods i worship on my alt and saw this: btw, glad to hear that tyra and infa are getting on so well, irl

I don't understand why wooden shields are part of this quest, unless part of the goal is just gc sink. They're not manuable.

*nods* can't think of a time newhope broke a promise or bargain, which is what an instance is all about.

We'll have a ranging contest at the WS summoning arena today at 0:30 game time. Everyone is welcome to participate with their equipment of choice. Each round will consist of 20 summons, one at a time, a point is awarded to the ranger who kills each. The winner of each round goes on to the final round. Prizes will be announced at the arena at the start of the contest.

Another nice invasion, Thyra. Thank you! A comment about invasions in Irin--much of the time it was more hide and seek than invasion. The map is just monstrous and the mobs spread out everywhere.

The best male pk'r in the game is no contest--Dugur. No one else is even close.
