  1. USA committing Human Rights violations

sparhawk, you don't get it. tiny changes like that are nothing compared to the giant changes caused naturally by changes in the sun intensity, volcanic activiy, and a number of other things that can cause temperature changes. Show me the chart over 50 million years, and you'll see that the changes occuring today are well within historical tolerances of life on this planet.
  2. USA committing Human Rights violations

The most recent research shows that not only is global warming not caused by people, nor carbon dioxide. Unless your CO2 is making its way to MARS! The intensity of the sun has grown, and has not only caused things to melt here on earth, but the ice on mars (made of CO2 on mars polar caps) is also melting, indicating that it is the SUN that is causing the warmup. Also, the idea that Carbon is a bad thing in the environment is absolutely wrong. Plants actually do best at around 1000 parts per mil, whereas we are at around 300 - 360 ppm. The core sample records actually show that the current amount of carbon in the air is the lowest on the historical core records for the last 6 million years. Yes, it may be warmer now, it may not be snowing where you live, but trying to say that people cause it is so short-sighted in the whole scheme of the universe. And trying to use it as a political issue and make yourself rich selling this propaganda (AL Gore) is hella lame. So to you who would say that the US commits rights violations based on this bunk really shows how many of you are lemmings. Jump that cliff if you want to, but im going to teach my kids not to be afraid of natural occurances they cannot control.
  3. Cinnabar Harv problem

ditto ttlanhil, if you try to harvest nightshade with level 1 harvester and you suddenly stop harvesting, it takes up to the length of time it takes to harvest 1 nightshade to to begin harvesting again, clicks sent before this time is up are ignored.
  4. USA committing Human Rights violations

no they arent, strength in numbers. Tell that to the large number of Chineese women who wanted to keep thier babies. There is enough of them to fill the largest stadiums over and over again.
  5. USA committing Human Rights violations

No kidding, in America at least people can change thier minds (and ways) and force the government to change it's ways as well. But in communist china, a few elitists get to decide how society will operate. Good luck getting them to change thier ways to improve the environment. The people are powerless to even have children without being forced into abortions by government agents, nevermind get the commies to reduce pollution! I bought a much more efficient car, and i telecommute at least 2 times a week. I compost, and grow small crops each year to reduce demand on food infastructure. Not because AL Gore tries to scare people, or because ice 3000 miles away is melting, it's because i believe that I can do better, and as an individual I will make changes of my own free will when i think they make sense. But leftist elitists who want to FORCE and SCARE people into doing things that they don't understand or wouldn't normally choose to do based on thier own conscience are no better then the chineese who force thier fellow citizens into abortions, even if reducing the population may make things better in thier country.
  6. USA committing Human Rights violations

If it's going to be a human rights violation, then place the blame on elitist hollywood liberals and hypocritical politicians like Al Gore who pollute more in one private jetliner flight to one of his "Fight Global Warming" brainwash festivals then my whole family does in a whole year. And buying "Feelgood about my self" credits from some wind farm doesn't alleviate the fact that he uses hundreds of thousands of gallons of jet fuel (which winds up in women's breastmilk btw...) flying around the world telling people who can barely scratch a living wage about how THEY are killing the planet. What nerve.
  7. Special Days occur too Frequent!

I cannot believe that someone would start a thread like this. We just lost artificer, and you go and try to nuke something else that the majority of us like by posting a list of your complaints. Unlike artificer, i see very little chance that special days will be removed. They are Great!
  8. Med Of Life

I bought one for 15k, works great, was healed many times over the course of fighting hobgoblins. Killed about 70 hobgoblins (the fights last long enough to max out the def skill messages) and it hasnt broken yet. well worth it, although i took noticibly less damage with a moon med.
  9. hyperbag

return bags that belong to friends and allies to hyperspace, all others belong to whoever is standing on it at the time. IMO
  10. Ideas for the "charm" attribute replacement

Another idea: karma when harvesting events occur the amount (of gold or damage) is increased. More points = more gold, but also more damage on bad events. kind of a "take the good with the bad" attribute
  11. Ideas for the "charm" attribute replacement

I really like this idea, and perception: Improves your ability to see at night, and increases resistance to poison.
  12. Auctioning NMT and more

Ah, blasted GMT time. I would have paid alot more. O well! Who Selling NMT?
  13. Auctioning NMT and more

50 efe and 3 binding stones (221k) How is it over? its still sunday here, and on the forum time.
  14. Auctioning NMT and more

I had 95 efe when ent changed the drop rate. I've sold 45 since then at 4kgc each. I can get 4k each for them with no problem at all. I've been buying them to resupply but any time i offer less then 3.8k, someone offers better and i lose the purchase. Thats since when.
  15. Auctioning NMT and more

    50 efe's (200k) + 2 binding stones (14k) for NMT
  16. Harvest Medallion statistics

Made 250k exp on the last 3x harvest exp day. 3 blessings, 2 of which were for 6900 (so i got like 18-19k exp?) and one for 5k (so i got 15k?) hasn't broken yet! harvested for 8 hours strait
  17. Bots channel

i like the idea alot. I would use it every time i wanted to buy or sell to see who comes back with the best offer.
  18. I Eat Dead People

I really like this new perk, anyone know if this was a suggestion? Where did this great idea come from?
  19. Harv Med and 3x Harv Day

The bug could be that the blessing message and the actual amount of XP gained differ, and the message should be corrected.
  20. Is it against the rules to read the log file to parse out information like prices people offer for items and game events?
  21. Question about the log file

I would completely agree, except that the only private conversations in my chat log are ones that were mine with other people. Your private chats won't be in my log file to be read. And my private chats will continue to remain that way, per my previous post: "logging game events to a private database on my computer" The chat log is on my computer, the DB im parsing into is also on my computer, neither will be shared. If i was to share this app with others, they would parse thier own chat logs, the app would ship with an empty DB. My guildmates would not be happy at all if i was to share an app that had a DB full of our guild chats.
  22. Question about the log file

Thanks for the clarification. I found nothing in the rules about NOT doing it, but because Mods have latitude in interprating the rules I wanted to be sure that it was ok to scan log entries looking for specific data. My idea does not include modifying the logs, posting the logs or any of the individual entries to any public or semi-public place like a guild forum, or sending information to the mods. It's just about looking for items and thier prices and logging game events to a private database on my computer. I discussed my idea in private with others and they saw no issues, but warned me to get an official OK before writing any code that in any way reads a game file. The only file im reading is the chat log.
  23. Question about the log file

Thanks, but i would rather have a definitive answer from a mod. Don't want to do anything to get myself in trouble.
  24. Misunderstood.

I can vouch for the fact that mufossa has been working hard at a turn-around. His relations with IRON have been improved and we welcome it. It will take time before there will be real trust, but i look forward to removing another guild from our red list.
  25. Lets start fixing the economy system

What I wonder is, what would the game dynamics be like if the NPC's competed with the players for buying items? Make each item purchaseable by an NPC of that profession, i know most items are, but just in case some are not currently bought by NPC's. Each day that noone sells an NPC that item, the price goes up by 1%. If the price is too low, noone will sell those items to the NPC. Each day that someone DID sell the NPC that item, the price goes DOWN 1%. If players are paying more, and there is enough demand form the user community, then NPC's will not be buying any, and the price goes up, making players offer more to compete with the NPC price. If players don't buy a specific item, and people only sell to the NPC (like in the case of flowers), the price the NPC pays goes down, making it more likely that alchemists will buy thier flowers from players instead of harvesting themselves. I'm not nessisarily proposing this solution, but run down some of the scenarios like red rose, rsd and sulf, then with FE, people WANT fe's for all kinds of things, but if the NPC started offering decent gc for them, players would have to offer more or make them themselves. Then the values of swords, armors, and the like will be impacted, and imagine the value of hydro bars if players had to compete with an NPC! By making the changes very gradual, and over a long period of time, like an EL day, it could make some very interesting results. Flowers would no longer be a viable way of getting rich quick, but the EL community could all agree to not sell lilacs to the NPC for a long period of time, and let the price build up and have one big make money day, but one user could ruin it for everyone by not complying. weapons and armor would have value again, because they have to compete with Trik to buy them. leather helms would be wothless at trik, so people would look for other ways of skilling manu, making other ingredients like bars more valuable. There would be a longer skilling curve because you can no longer rely on the fact that you can get at least X gc for any item, no matter how many you make. Prices on lower level items would be so low that higher level players would rely on lower level players to make them, because there would be competition for the higher level items between NPC's and players. People may start buying and selling from day to day to make a profit from the difference in prices at the NPC from day to day, creating a "stock" exchange of sorts and consuming more of the GC that exists in-game. Items that use high-demand ingredients would be pricier to make, but people would have to compete with the NPC to buy them. Items that use low-demand ingredients would be easier and cheaper to make and skill on, but the gc returns would be low. If leather and sandpaper were made manufacturable it would complete the picture. And if NPC's bought the enriched essences and binding stones and rosts it would make it so that armor and weapons that use those items would be much more valuable, the cost of failure much higher, and not everyone would afford to be walking around with a rost, making player loots better. *** EDIT*** Wanted to add that if the NPC's that buy these goods also sell them, the selling price should be considerably more then the current buying price, ther emay be cases in which there is a minimum price at which the NPC will sell, regardless of how low the buying price goes. *** End of Edit*** I think trying something like this on a test server would attract alot of interest. Please feel free to constructively critique, im interested in further developing this idea.
