Client version 1.0.1rc1 available for testing.

There is a test client package for version 1.0.1, I hope it will work. All you have to do:

 

For Windows:

Download this: http://teh banned 0n3na.xpam.de/el-1.0.1rc1-winxp-update.zip

And unzip the content to the directory with your current installation of EL (eg. C:\Program Files\EL\)

If you have any problems first enable "Windows 2000 compability" that setting is available in executable

properties of el.exe.

 

For Linux:

Download: http://teh banned 0n3na.xpam.de/el-1.0.1rc1-linux-update.tar.gz

Copy it to your EL directory and then tar -zxf el-1.0.1rc1-linux-update.tar.gz

 

All bugs report to Wytter, he will post how to detect and report them.

It is not a game update, it is only "relase candidate" client for testing. Good luck!

 

EDIT: Yes, that client works correctly on the current server, therefore can be tested there, not on the test server.

Actually, if you have errors, don't use compatibility mode. The problem which led to the use thereof should be fixed, and compatibility mode dll's combined with the XP interface can lead to hangs and crashes.

This update was made to be compatible with the main server. If you want to test out some more things that are available in 1.0.1, go to:

 

http://el.tfm.ro/private/elc-1.0.1-4-update.zip

 

And set your #server_port in el.ini to 2001 (That's the test server). If you use the client that's in the elc-1.0.1-4-update.zip you must expect some problems especially with healthbars etc., since we had to make some changes in the way the server and the client interact.

 

We are mainly interested in testing out 1.0.1 on the test-server now, and bug reports such as "the client isn't starting" will not be dealed with for teh banned 0n3na's client but only for the elc-1.0.1-4-update.zip clients (elc-entropy and elc-mihaim). So if you're having trouble with teh banned 0n3na's client, please try the elc-1.0.1-4-update
