Quests for Lower Levels

Recommended Posts

Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough, but there seems to be a lack of quests for the low level characters. I recently joined Aluwen, to find that the first quest involves killing skeletons, a creature far beyond my capabilities. Now I must live with the -2 rank until gleaning the sufficient experience to battle hostile monsters. I suggest some sort of warning before a player joins.

At the moment, there is little a low level player can do in terms of questing. Adding minor quests would make the game much more interesting for all inexperienced players.

Ummm - those skeletons apparently do NOT drop the item requested in the quest. Here are the statistics I collected from killing those skeletons:

12 - padded leather (1.5%)

12 - iron sword (1.5%)

6 - leather boots (0.7%)

6 - 1 potion body restoration (0.7%)

3 - enhanced wooden shield (0.4%)

2 - steel long sword (0.4%)

2 - 5 potions of defense (0.4%)

2 - 5 potions of summoning (0.4%)

2 - iron shield (0.4%)

2 - 5 potions of feasting (0.4%)

2 - rings white stone (0.4%)

1 - 5 potions attack (0.1%)

1 - iron broad sword (0.1%)

1 - ring Naralik (0.1%)

1 - 5 potions body restoration (0.1%)

1 - wooden battle hammer (0.1%)

752 - no item drop (93%)

---------

808 total drops counted

If you want to complete Aluwen's quest, better find another source for the requested item.

Either the monster drop needs to be changed or the quest needs to be changed (or the text changed to eliminate the reference to killing skeletons)

I am Godless now so I cant check the quest...

But before the server reset I did the Aluwen quests (def god)

Hmm I cant remember the text, but I cant recall anything that says you HAVE to get the shields from skeletons. As someone else pointed out, you can just buy the shields. (I did)
