Conner Report post Posted May 25, 2004 I'm unsure of how to set up a building so it would be possible to enter it. Could someone help me?
Ravenod Report post Posted May 25, 2004 If you're talking about linking an outside map to an inside one, the developers will do that. If you're talking about just making an inside 'house', then open up the structures folder in 3dobjects and there will be insidehouse#.3do Load one and I think you will see how it works from there. Master_Templar Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Thank you. Should I add the interer to that map, or set it to a seprate map and send it with the orginal?
Ravenod Report post Posted June 2, 2004 I guess you are conner? The outside map is one elm file, the interior map is another elm file. For the interior map, delete all the tiles to create a blackness to put your insidehouse#.3do on. Fill the house with whatever objects you want to make it look how you like. Remember to make the grids around the house unwalkable, so the player can't walk into the void But if you are doing a test map for Moonshadow, I don't think you have to do an interior map, unless he wanted you to do it. Hope that answered your questions.
Master_Templar Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Thank you. How can I make the tiles unwalkable?
Ravenod Report post Posted June 2, 2004 You really need to re-read the manual. It will explain how. But a quick run-down... click the stairs icon, then the new object icon and select the black box (-2.20) Then any grid you click will become unwalkable.
