Professional Guilds

Recommended Posts

An idea arised about how people play the game

Seems a bit unrealitic people harvesting/mining 15 full hours a day only to get his level up.

I agree that experience is a plus, so getting experience for doing things it's ok, but other methods should be allowed

I though that a kind of professional Guilds ( NPC Ruled) could Help

Imagine:

- A guild of Artisans ( Specialized in making Dresses, fur items and so )

- A guild of Miners

- A guild of Blacksmiths

- A guild of Alchemysts

- A guild of Mages

- A guild of Phamacysts (for potions)

- A guild of Warriors

- (any other guild corresponding to a skill)

Players could become member of no more than one guild at same time, by paying some kind of (daily/monthly) subscription

Then the guild's oldest/experienced NPC's can teach a member the guild arts in exchange for players doing quest's. One Level per quest. And the quest should be highly random in places to visit and NPC's to interact to disallow people spoil it

A character should leave a guild ( and loose it's benefits ) to become member of another.

Also, no player who is memeber of a player-Ruled Guild can enter

This way is much more similar to real life than harvesting same cactus for days and days

Opinions ?

Currently, some quest already boost skills levels after you complete them. Also, the guild idea has been going on for a long time now. Just read through all the forums to see the extensive discussions and even flamewars going on about guilds.
