Reviews as they are, are subjective articles, written by people, hence not everyone may like what we like on EL. I do agree, that getting into this game is a bit hard, like throwing non-swimmer into deep lake, hoping for the best, yet if one learns how to swim, EL will reward him greatly with complexity. However not everyone likes it, and those review writers may not have been patient long enought to discover the charm of EL, which takes dozens of hours, not just few minutes of killing rabbits.
