new potions

A few things i'd like to say

 

-the potion making skill is really interesting (probably my favorite) but it's hard to make great money (even if the combat update helped a lot).

-some of the following potions have strong effect (more or less balanced by prices & required items), and i think that prices will follow.

-most potions will require lot of heavy items so mass production will be a little harder & it can be a plus for team work.

 

 

 

Potion of Higher Spirit Restoration

Increases your ethereal points by 40

Requires: 1 wine, 1 empty vial, 3 Blue Lupine, 1 Blue Quartz, 1 Sapphire

Level needed to manufacture: 37

Experience points given: 100

-5 EMU

-With vitality skill a more powerfull potion could be helpfull

 

 

Potion of Higher Healing

Increases your material points by 40

Requires: 1 wine, 1 empty vial, 3 sun flower, 1 Rose Quartz, 1 ruby

Level needed to manufacture: 39

Experience points given: 110

-5 EMU

-with the new combat system it

 

 

Potion of Luck

Increases your chances to get valuable items from monster drop by 5% for the next 3 minutes

Requires: 1 empty vial, 1 ruby, 1 ruby, 1 emerald, 1 sapphire, 1 red rose

Level needed to manufacture: 41

Experience points given: 120

-2 EMU

-I don't know if it's possible to implement such variation in monster drops...

 

 

Potion of Rock Skin

Temporarily increase your armor level by 4

Requires: 1 empty vial, 1 coal, 1 iron ore, 1 silver ore, 1 gold ore, 1 titanium ore

Level needed to manufacture: 43

Experience points given: 130

-3 EMU

 

 

Potion of Fury

Temporarily increase your weapon damage level by 4

Requires: 1 empty vial, 1 wine, 3 red rose, 3 snapdragon, 1 ruby

Level needed to manufacture: 45

Experience points given: 140

-3 EMU

-Another solution could be +6 wd & -2 wa

 

 

Potion of Accuracy

Temporarily increase your weapon accuracy level by 4

Requires: 1 empty vial, 1 cooked meat, 3 white asiatic lilly, 3 swamp candles, 1 diamond

Level needed to manufacture: 47

Experience points given: 150

-3 EMU

-Another solution could be +6 wa & -2 wd

 

 

Potion of Battle

Temporarily increase your attack, defense & combat by 5

Requires: 1 empty vial, 1 iron bar, 1 steel bar, 1 silver bar, 1 gold bar, 1 titanium bar

Level needed to manufacture: 49

Experience points given: 160

-5 EMU

-Very powerfull but the required items may balance. (if you don't think so the bonus can be lowered to 4)

 

 

Potion of Anonymity

You remain anonymous for 3 minutes

Requires: 1 empty vial, 1 yellow rose 2 sulfur, 2 mercury, 2 gold bar

Level needed to manufacture: 51

Experience points given: 170

-4 EMU

-For 3 minutes players can't see your name/guild. It can make amazing fun while pking or durring games/contests. (you can't look at player stats so pking would be even more risky) :D

-I don't know if it's hard to add. To prevent abuse (like spamming) it could only be used in pk maps.

 

 

Potion of Soul Restoration

Increases your ethereal points by 75

Requires: 2 wine, 1 empty vial, 4 Blue Lupine, 2 Blue Quartz, 2 Sapphire

Level needed to manufacture: 53

Experience points given: 130

-10 EMU

-Very strong potion who in my opinion can give a real benefit to potion maker (not as good money as manufacturing but probably decent prices & advantage for his own training)

 

 

Potion of Flesh Healing

Increases your material points by 75

Requires: 2 wine, 1 empty vial, 4 sun flower, 2 Rose Quartz, 2 ruby

Level needed to manufacture: 55

Experience points given: 140

-10 EMU

-Very strong potion who in my opinion can give a real benefit to potion maker (not as good money as manufacturing but probably decent prices & advantage for his own training)

-Noone wait to have 1hp to heal, so for now an important part might be wasted & the EMU limit the use.

 

 

Potion of Vampirism

Gives you 50% chances to regain health when hitting for the next 3 minutes

Requires: 1 empty vial, 10 red roses, 5 ruby

Level needed to manufacture: 57

Experience points given: 180

-5 EMU

-If you hit a 16 on a monster/player you have 50% chances to gain 1mp back. If you hit a 35 then you have 50% chances to get 3mp... It could make the use of weapons durring training more intresting.

 

*And the last thing i want to say is that we can live really well from manufacturing/alchemy and i truely think that strong "expensive" potion have their place in the game.

higher health and eth point restoration is nice, eth inparticular since it can now go to 136... but wait till health can go higher before introducing that i think.

 

Potion of Rock Skin, Fury and Accuracy would be WEAKER versions of def, combat and attack potions... so that seams a little dumb

 

As for vampirism and luck... im not touching that subject with a 10 foot pole.

 

Though Anonymity sounds good but its been suggested before. both as a spell and a potion

I really don't understand how it could be a weaker version of def combat & attack. from what i imagine it's a way STRONGER version.

I have to admit that i don't know a lot on combat system but from what i can see just compare two persons with a titanium serpent :

 

First fighter

 

attack : 50+5->55

defense : 50+5->55

combat : 50+5->55

 

Damage: 19

To hit: 8

Defence: 4

 

Second fighter

 

attack : 50

defense : 50

combat : 50

 

Damage: 19+5=24

To hit: 8+5=13

Defence: 4+5=9

 

I'm nearly sure that the second one would win.

I'd like to see if someone can confirm or infirm that, as i said i'm not so much into fighting.

Btw if you're right just replace it by potion of higher attack, defense & combat with an increase of 10. What i wanted to do is to create a stronger version of the current ones with some originality but well.[/b][/url]

Very good ideas there, misiu.

i'm not sure about the potions of rock skin, fury and accuracy though. it just seems a bit excessive to be able to drink combat, attack, def, rock skin, fury, and accuracy right before going to pk someone.

the pot of battle is great, however. i dont know about the math, but the cost to make one should be a bit higher than the total cost to make one pot of attack, combat, and def, because it takes less room, and is 3 times faster to drink.

 

(tugs chronicle's sleeve) i'd like to place an order for 1000 soul rests :)

 

edit: also was thinking maybe a potion of lasting combat/attack/defence, and maybe others as well. maybe it can last 3 times longer or something
