how about introducing bows and arrows into the next updateyou could use branches and stuff for them, heres an example of the weakest one:

 

20 branches (bow body)

30 threads (bow string and to tie branches together)

3 leather (bow grip)

 

and for the arrows:

 

3 iron bars (for the tip)

2 branches (for the body)

5 fire essence (to forge iron)

 

and you could have magic arrows too:

 

3 iron bars (for the tip)

2 branches (for the body)

5 fire essence (to forge iron)

1 enriched fire/water/earth/wind/etc. (for magic propetys)

 

damage could be as follows:

normal arrows: 10 damage

magic arrows: 10 damage plus 5 damage of whatever essence

depending on type of bow, it could add an extra chance to critical too, i will think up some proper stats for them by my next post.

 

so whadda ya think?
