gilthanas Report post Posted October 1, 2005 wtf???? how is it 9?
Catseyes Report post Posted October 1, 2005 3 pounds + half a brick = 4.5pounds x 2 = 9 pounds - thats how I worked it out
dragonlord Report post Posted October 1, 2005 Ok let me explain cause i know you guys are going to be like wtf??? Ok let me repeat the riddle again: "If a brick weighs 3 pounds plus half a brick, how much does two bricks weigh?" Well if a brick weighs 3 pounds plus half a brick. One half of 3 is 1.5 right? So now a brick weighs 4.5 pounds. So 2 bricks would be 4.5 x 2 ( Four and a half multiplied by 2 right?) So the final answer is 9 pounds! That felt good.... gilthanas Report post Posted October 1, 2005 (edited) but he said "how much does 2 bricks weigh?", but that would be 3 bricks from the way you worked it out [edit]: and last i checked 3 does not equal 2 Edited October 1, 2005 by gilthanas

gilthanas Report post Posted October 1, 2005 but still, when does 1+1/2= 1????, if you said how much does 3 bricks weigh, then it would be right (this is going from what i learned, if the rules of math have changed, plz tell me <_< )

If 1 brick ways 3 pound... So 1 brick weighs 3 pound, not 4,5 it's not a riddle but mathematically impossible :glare:
