m_bee Report post Posted July 8, 2005 Trying to compile the ton of new stuff from the latest CVS I got some errors related to cal3d, something made me thing that was a problem with cal3d version, cause they were really weird erros relating some classes' methods that were not present and the like... I tried against cal3d-0.11.0_pre20050518, no go. Then I downgraded to 0.10 and all is fine. Just point that.

Wytter Report post Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) cal3d-0.10.0 works, so you should work on that. There won't be an ebuild for a week or so... EDIT: Oh wth, I'll make a preliminary ebuild then. Edited July 8, 2005 by Wytter
Mr_Maniac Report post Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) I don't build EL from the ebuild I always use CVS... And I sync daily... But something doesn't work P.S.: Before the "great Cal3D merge" I was perfectly able to compile EL (make -f Makefile.linux release)... Now... well... Not anymore Edited July 8, 2005 by Mr_Maniac

Wytter Report post Posted July 8, 2005 Here's the ebuild. I know it's not pretty, hacked it together quickly. It gets the latest CVS, then compiles it and installs it with all of the files needed to use cal3d. Will also install the right cal3d for you. http://wytter.tfm.ro/elc/eternal-lands-1.0.2.ebuild Just put it in /usr/portage/games-rpg/eternal-lands Note: This will not be added to bugs.gentoo.org since it's a hack! Mr_Maniac Report post Posted July 8, 2005 Thanks... But now I got it to work Yesterday even the release-target didn't work... Today it worked... Somehow (but I was so stupid, that I tried to build the cal3d-target)... The only problem I have now is, that I can't travel away from IP (I can't click the ships flag)... Oh... And I hope (and think), that it's normal, that there's no snow on IP anymore
Wytter Report post Posted July 8, 2005 The reason why you cannot click on the ship flag is because the IDs have changed... To travel from there, overwrite the startmap.elm with startmap_snow.elm.

m_bee Report post Posted July 8, 2005 Nice Gentoo... Some resources that you may find usefull if you are really interested in the ebuild construction would be: 1.- The handbook, Gentoo bibble: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/2005...andbook-x86.xml 2.- More specific, the portage section in that handbook: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/2005...l?part=3&chap=0 3.- All the Gentoo developer docs: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/index.xml?catid=gentoodev
