Deson Report post Posted March 8, 2005 Idea one: allow an option to turn off the transparency on menus. For example, I have severe difficulty when buying perks, etc from the wraith during the daytime. The white snow background filtering through the menu swamps out the words making it very difficult to read. Idea Two: add an extra button into the trade menu. basickly a "OK?" buton that will need to be pushed when doing trades. Have it placed above the Abort buton and not active until BOTH of the checkmark boxes have been filled. This will prevent one form of scamming where player offers an item. Player 2 then agrees, but switches the agreeed price for say 20 fruit for example at the last moment. Requireing both participants to not only check both boxes but press the "OK?" button before th etrade occurs will prevent this type of scam. Anything other than the successful pressing of the "OK?" button on both sides will automaticly result in abort of the trade. What do you think?
freeone3000 Report post Posted March 8, 2005 We already have the OK button. It's the little x, which conviently deselects when something is taken out of the other side. IP will have snow removed soon... why the heck they changed the text colors... Meh. It's too white there.
Deson Report post Posted March 9, 2005 (edited) What i meant was player 1 puts the item that he wants to sell and selects the checkmark. Player 2 decides that he's not goint o pay the agreed price but instead decideds to place 20 fruit and hits the x button. end result the Player 1 winds up with 20 fruit instead of the cash that was agreed on beforehand. Therefore a second step would prevent someone from doing this. This would prevent that type of scam. P.S. Glad to hear about the future snow removal. immerentis Report post Posted March 9, 2005 thats easy DON'T press the checkmark wait until both have placed everything then press AFTER you pressed if the other take somethink out , the checkmark will unpress itself so there is no discussion "you press first" (no risk on pressing) as long as you wait until everything was put there to press is not that hard, try for yourself, is a very efficient system what you described is like "checks should have some protection for people who sing them blank" the better protection for that is not signing them while they are blank
XenFugasi Report post Posted March 9, 2005 The Checkbox is working well if your not to hasty and check the box b4 the other even start I have to agree that white text over white snow is a very nice experiment which seemed to be sponsored by an binocular manufacturer. A costumized front and background text colour (so that you can change it yourself) would help. Even though, the designers may just set the colours to a more readable version
