  1. Annoying Monster

Yeah, this sounds like a good idea to me You could introduce Shapeshifters as this kind of monster... it could mimic the a/d/p/c of the player or monster attacking it and, if it's multi-fought, it will take the stats of the higher player attacking it. It would be even cooler if the Shapeshifter would morph and take the player he's mimicking's shape (if that's not too complicated to code). Up with this

  4. PVP PK Ethics

About point 1: It depends... attacking someone right when s/he enters the map is getting some advantage (surprise attack)... but I think it's a tactic you should only use if you intend to kill the person (meant as your personal or guild enemy), not if you're around for fair duelling. About point 3: I think that someone stupid enough to go afk in a PK area without sky-high a/d deserves to be killed About point 6: Again, depends. If that's a friend of yours or someone you want to friendly-fight, you MUST tell first, then attack when they're prepared to fight. On the other hand, if that's a personal/guild enemy, take advantage on the surprise factor and beat teh smeg out of him before he can take control of the situation (agreeing with what Atlantis said about the thing). About point 7: You fight a monster, kill the monster, walk on the bag and pick it up. You fight a player, kill the player fair and square, walk on the bag and pick it up. You worked your kill, you deserve it, it's exactly the same, specially if they're enemies. Only situations when this should be excepted are friendly-fights and allies' deathbags.
  5. Enriched Bars

Indeed, there are enough magic weapons out there already, some new magic armors or stuff the sort would be better for a change And btw, I made a modable iron sword the other day, but it won't appear in the manu window (as mauriciom said)... so how are we supposed to make magic swords out of them? maybe it has to be fixed.
  6. The newbiest thing you ever saw

One of the most newbie things I've ever witnessed, well, not sure if newb or just unbelieable... was a guy in full leather, iron sword, steel shield, using BRs and the basic healing spell... dying in combat to teh mighty small spider
  7. Laudinii

Well... as far as I know FoxLupine I can tell all of you he is not the bagjumper style... bagjumping is low and not the right thing to do, but we aren't enforced to return the bag (this is why this part of the forum exists to start with). He just stated his opinion on deathbag and bagjumping, but that doesn't mean he has to follow it. It's the same for myself, I never take a deathbag when finding one, I follow that 12 minute moral rule thing, and even more if the contents of the bag are high valuables, but I think that someone can't be blamed for taking a deathbag, because it's a game feature: you die, you lose stuff and, if you aren't quick enough, you run the risk of having it taken by someone else (that's why something such as the Underworld exists I think, because you need a reason to lose some time so you can't just ZAP! to where your bag was... there has to be a risk run). AND saying this won't make Fox a bagjumper, as it won't make myself. We have our ways, generally bag returning specially when items are expensive, but the reality behind the fact is like that. Don't take it all wrong on Fox. -Maxim Ironfist
  8. The Gems of Destiny

(( Now I've seen spar's play I'm even more lost than last time :S ))
  9. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim was keeping his head high while riding his horse, Shadow, constantly looking around himself. His hand, laying on his sword's hilt incase they would be raid. -What an odd feeling- Maxim tought to himself in the end -I've tagged along on a quest where I feel that everyone hides something... damn it, I hate this situation. At least, I can always trust Kat... Maxim then rolled his eyes to Kat, looking at her as his last hope for safety.
  10. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim had been overcome by the dominant confussion. -"Well then, having seen what we just saw, we'll better get on our way."- Maxim said. He then looked around himself, with his sight put far away on the horizon. He then made a ring-like position with two of his fingers, took them to his mouth and started a loud whistle. Answering to the call, a bright, black horse ran out of the forests, towards Grahms. It stopped right by Maxim's side, who broadly smiled at it. -"Shadow"- Maxim said without removing his smile -"The ancient elves of a faraway elven community gave this horse to me when I left their homelands, after 20 years living with them."- Maxim explained -"I was shocked, they never led humans have much to do with them but they seemed to make an exception with me."- Then Maxim jumped on the horse and said strongly remarking his words -"So, shall we go?"
  11. The Gems of Destiny

After an uneasy and short night, Maxim was calmly having breakfast with Kat in the inn. Rahn and Regar came along as they spoke. -"Nevermind..."- Maxim told Kat -"I'll tell you later. To be honest, there are other things troubling me more than Rahn's information keeping..."- His bad looks, proof of a bad night, showed that was true. He then greeted Rahn and Regar -"I'm gonna sit outside, I'm not feeling so good."- And saying so, he wrapped his cloak around himself and walked out of the inn. As he set his feet in the streets of Grahms village's streets, Maxim's shoulder-lenght black hair started to dance with the cold morning breeze, as it enlightened his spirit at the same time. He closed his eyes and led his head lean back for a while. -Ahh... way better now.- He tought to himself. As he cleared up a bit, he opened his eyes and looked around just to find a young elf kneed down and leaning over a dead townsman's corpse. Maxim got his sword ready to draw as he took her for a thief at first glance, but then he noticed she was... crying? He slowly loosed his hand from his sword as he walked to the elf's side, then he reached her side. -"Good morning, fair lady."- He said after a moment of hesitation about what to say -"My name's Maxim, Maxim Ironfist... may I...?"- He then kneeled down by the young elven lady's side. He watched her face carefully, then looked at the dead townsman. -"Did you know this man? I'm so sorry if so... may I help you in some way?"- He said again then looked to the lady, feeling a bit stupid as he didn't know what to say in such a situation.
  12. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim felt like Rahn was keeping something hidden from the group, but didn't care too much about it yet. -If there's something we should know, we will know just in time, I think...- He tought to himself. -"Well then, see all of you tomorrow."- Maxim told everyone, then whispered to Kat: "If you need something and I'm not in my room, you know where to find me already..."- then Kat winked back. When Maxim got to his room, he jumped out of the window to the nearest tree and laid down on the highest treepole. -Strange behaviour for a human, I know... but living amongst elves for 20 years made me take this kind of habits when I'm anxious about something.- Maxim started to think to himself. He then slowly fell asleep... deep into an uneasy dream.
  13. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim walked back into the inn after quite an interesting fight in Grahms village. He noticed Kat's silent laughter, and he tried to clean some of the bloodstains on himself with his bare hands. -"Geesh, always the same... if I used a hammer instead of a sword there wouldn't be this kind of problems."- then Maxim and Kat started to laugh loudly. -"So, Rahn... I don't see a reason because this bandits would be here, if it isn't for your story... is it possible that they may know about the gems?"- Maxim asked Rahn and looked at him with severe eyes expecting a good answer.
  14. The Gems of Destiny

A small pack of bandits broke into the inn after a short chatter with Kat. Maxim kicked a table towards them and drew his sword. -"Kat, get ready!!"- He yelled. The first bandit directly charged at Maxim. With a quick move, Maxim dodged him as he knee-kicked his belly. The bandit quickly recovered and threw a quick slash, that Maxim's blade could hold with ease. Maxim threw a couple more blows, then stabbed his opponent after a quick spin. The second bandit charged at him the same stupid way. -"Sigh... they will never interest even a bit on strategy and technique..."- Maxim whispered to himself, as he held his blade tight getting ready for this one. Maxim blocked the bandit's blow with a strong counter-blow that almost broke the bandit's sword. What Maxim didn't notice was that the bandit had taken a poisoned dagger outta his belt. When he was ready to thrust it on Maxim, a magical explosion blew the bandit to the ground. It was the old hermit's doing. -"You should watch out for they dirty tricks, Maxim."- He said. -"Hehe... thank you, my venerable friend. I guess I owe you one."- Maxim replied. Maxim took a quick glance at Kat. She was fighting a bandit and had already beaten other two. Maxim laughed loudly, since he knew these brawlers were not even a slight threat for a skilled sword slinger as Kat was. -"Kat, will you handle? I'm gonna check outside, it looks like there's an intense fight going on."- Maxim yelled at her, while he ran towards the inn's door.
  15. The Gems of Destiny

-"Worry not, Rahn, I've got a horse of my own, I'll be fine"- Maxim said -"See you early tomorrow." As he watched Rahn leaving the tavern and the old hermit walking away to his room, Maxim slowly raised from the table as he looked around. The other traveler seemed to be distracted, staring off at the space... he would be no impediment. Maxim walked to a dark corner of the room, wrapped himself around his cloak and got some essences out of his pouch. He then threw them off to the air as he whispered some arcane words, casting a teleport spell that took him right behind Kat. Maxim slowly reached her ear and whispered: -"So, may I know what are you up to, m'ladey?"- and then, he showed a broad smile from under his hood.
  16. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim stared silently at the bag of gold in front of him. With a slight nod, he pushed the bag back to Rahn as he said: -"I'm a wandering warrior, not a mercenary. The fact of putting my skills back to good use and helping those who need to be helped is enough for me." - then a smile showed up in Maxim's face - "Count me in." As he rolled his eyes back to Kat, Maxim tought: -And there's someone else that you could also count in, my new found friend... After a few seconds, Maxim leaned forwards, held the hilt of his sword and asked: -"So, when are we leaving?"
  17. The Gems of Destiny

Out of a sudden, something caught Maxim's attention. Without turning his head, Maxim just rolled his eyes aside and saw a hooded figure in the opposite corner of the room. -Kat...- Maxim tought to himself, as he closed his eyes, smiled and held a silent laugh -Playing around as always... I won't break her stealth, let's see what she's trying to do. I bet she's already noticed my presence. Pretending as if nothing had happened, he turned his eyes back to Rahn, still waiting for his reply. EDIT: Typos...
  18. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim got his sight up from his mug as one of the travelers approached him. His name was Rahn, according to what he said. Maxim turned his sight to him as he said: -"Be greeted, traveler. My name's Maxim Ironfist, I'm a master swordsman from afar. Of course, I'm always up for an adventure, and I hope that my skills on swordsmanship will be of use for the group. I will gladly go with you, but would you be kind enough to tell me what's that adventure of yours about?" The barmaid walked by near Maxim and Rahn. Maxim looked in his pouch for some gold pieces to pay for his drink as he awaited a reply from his new friend.
  19. The Gems of Destiny

Maxim was laying down on the Grahms inn's counter, playing with his mug of ale between his hands. -"Gods, am I bored..." He tought to himself. By the time he got up and had a sip from his ale, he saw two adventurers and an old hermit entering the tavern. He got up, mug in hand, walked along the counter and sit near the just arrived party. -"Hmm... this could be fun." He tought again as he pulled back his cloak and led his sword, hanging from his belt, be visible as a show of interest.
