  1. *pictures all the highly obese harvesters that mine all the time and never move to storage* Can you picture the problem that will arise?? They will become so large from lack of exercise that they would never be able to exit the mines. And talk about problems entering some mines in the first place with blockage, seeing a dwarf that is wider than he is tall stuck in the enterence because he never moved to get all that ore. :P

  2. i like make a suggestion you have the crowns at 100k each and mana at 90k how about bring them down to 20k or to 30 each and the mana to 40k it make it so much easyer to rise the gc to get and this is just a suggestion thank you

Well, I believe the idea of having a higher price tag is to give the ones that have played a while longer than you (or I) have as an incentive to continue playing. If there were level limits where a newb could not be allowed to wear certain items, I am sure the prices would probably be lower. But this is just my opinion.

  3. I have written the books Crystal Technology, Metallurgy, and Botanics in .xml files that include all you would ever want to know about these new and old harvestables. Although the new ones are not harvestable as of yet, I already have all the info on them. And the bonus, I am willing to share this knowledge with those writing the encyclopedia. How would you like this new info given to you all for translation (In English now). I can post here, or send it via PMs. Your choice, just need some guidance. :icon13:

  4. What exactly is the General Section of the Suggestion Forum for? I am not trying to stir up trouble, but as the posts increase in this section, I get more curious as to its intended purpose. I see great promise in all of the other sections, but this section seems to regress often. This is part of the Development category, not the general chat.

Development is an evolutionary process in which you always go forward (through mutations of some sort) to a finished product. And since this game is in beta, we are seeing evolution in the making. Development is NOT a revolution in which we return back to the start to undo all the previous mistakes or misconceptions that some think that this game contains. I personally feel that 5 topics on feasting potions is at least 4 (if not 5) too many in this section. They may all have a different spin on the idea, but they all end with wanting to do away with, changing the recipe, or changing economic value of them. Searching for the subject matter would cut down on the chatter before the post, but still most of the people posting here cannot see the forest through the trees.

Now, we all want to make new things, have new types of weapons/armor, and new creatures to fight. But eventually all things in this game, whether it be a potion, essence, or weapons/armor will have some of the same ingredients that can possibly be used for something else that we also want so dearly. Let's face it, our desires to have more cool stuff will exceed the harvestables (whether it is flora, ores, or animals) that the game permists us to have. So in the end, if we keep posting these disappointments in this development section of the forum, we will never go forward and evolve into something other than beta.

Fact is that most of us do not know what is ahead of us. But trying to change the inevitable--that some resources are going to be doubled up for other items is a fact that will continue, regardless of how economically sound you think your argument is. So please, if you have a gripe, take it to the general forum and leave the development section for the evolution of the game.

  5. Ummm...if it blocks someones travel from point A to point B and both A & B are used frequently, then do not summon there. There are several places that no one uses (corners of maps, open areas that have nothing of vast value) that can be used for summoning. It seems pretty clear to me.

  6. Different seasons would mean that the maps would have to be altered as well. Grass rarely grows when it is winter and is not green. Tree leaves would have to be changed as well. What has been done in the past, as I see it, is that the maps have different climates already. And each climate has a certain type of flower that should grow there (ex. cactus grow in deserts). Now granted, what you have seen thus far is that most flora can be found in all/most maps. But wait until some updates, as this is all being changed. Eventually, only certain flora will be found in certain locations as per how it typically grows. So, although this is an interesting thought, in reality, this is already being done to a point--just not exactly how you envisioned it.

  7. Here is what really happened:

We all were blessed by teh god by having a vision to see the future. Now we have woken up and we can either follow the same paths of that vision or we can choose a new path. The choice is yours to make so enjoy it.

  8. Another thought has come to mind...What about term limits for the guild council members. It is easy to vote on something when you are on a council because you know you have a say into the matters at hand and know that you will probably not have to live in the same conditions as the ones not with vote. If all have term limits, they may rethink their positions and do it in a community effort and not a "what's in it for me" effort. Just a thought.

Erm..I dont get it..can you explain that to me?

    Jez

In the ages of Kings and power mongers, they lived by the golden rule "He who has the gold, makes the rules" and these people never considered living by the same rules as they dictated to others. They just protected what they felt they needed to keep the power. Term limits disrupt this idea, as after a time the ones dishing out the power, must step down and live with those not in power.

You REAP what You SOW: Life is like a boomerang. Our thoughts, deeds and words return to us sooner or later, with astounding accuracy. (Grant M. Bright)

Landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed. (Karl Marx)

    Hope this explains further.

  10. Kit, Vanyel, and LadyWolf, along several others have made very good points. Apparently, Jez, you do not understand the questions as you are using circle reasoning to not answer them. So here, I will *try* yet again to ask my questions—and may resemble the questions of the rest of the group you are shutting out.

•Why only guild leaders? Yes, the guild leaders may understand the game more, providing they have been around long enough. But some of us may have the stats and gold to make a new guild but like our friends in our existing guild. We may have chosen a home for life with our guild, we have high enough reasoning of the game, and some of us are real leaders in our real life communities already. But apparently, we are not good enough to be in the guild council —perhaps you do not want ones that do committees for a living, as we are the ones that tend to ask questions and do not let flippant comments slide (such as the threat tactic of having us become outlaws if we do not join).

•Where will the meetings take place? In game? Time zones and real lives tend to be a problem. Some of us come online to play a game, not to interfere with others on how we *think* they should play the game. Mods do that quite nicely.

•When the first meeting will take place, you must have some sort of leadership to the meeting. An outline must be made as to what will be addressed during such meeting so that it will not take all day/night to conduct it. That way you will have time for your cookie breaks, your hugs, etc, but will still stay on topic and discuss what needs to be brought up. Example:

    Guild Committee Meeting

    I Welcome

    II Rule Breakers

    III *hugs*

    IV Development ideas

    V *cookies*

    VI Newb Help

    VII Next meeting dates

This way you can have a committee head for each topic and have other guild leaders can decide which they want to help in. Otherwise you will have chaos. And most of us here that have voiced our opinions do not want to waste time with chaos the first meeting. Robert’s Rules of Orders must be used to conduct a public committee. You need to create the order atmosphere at the start, otherwise this will never take shape. In order to build a house, you must have a solid foundation and this solid foundation is what we are asking for.
