    I'm personally wondering how scamming can be aloud, but spamming is against their guild rules... :P

    No, we can't. You see, if they had to check their grammar and spelling then they would waste valuable time in being such talented liars, cheats, and thieves. Just does not equate in the major scheme of things :lipssealed:

    Probably, as EL is free, so all guides to the game should be as well. Why would he allow you to get a paycheck from a game he created. All games are copywrited just as WOW is. And using their terms and slogans is subject to copywrite infringment if used elsewhere. This is why Roja and Ent strongly advise all donations to the game (such as music, monsters, etc.) are original works and not taken from other games.

    Now that we have all of that behind us we can get back to the real issue about how to fairly add more pvp into the game.

    lol.... if you talk to Ent (especially reading the other thread), I suspect you'll find his position is that its not meant to be fair, its meant to be dramatic. Some of the new ores are in PK maps to force people to rely on each other for support and help.

     

    Or, it may mean that no one will ever use these ores and thus the game stops evolving. PK'ers do not want to mine, they want to attack those that have things and thus sell them. Eventually, the miners will stay out of the PK areas and then the PK'ers will either have to pick up a pickaxe or live without these precious ores. Either way, it is a lose lose situation.

    Well, as I have read these threads, I have noticed a pattern. We should perhaps call this day instead "Mods take a vacation Day". As most I have seen dislike this idea, and they too like to play the game while sorting out the problems of others. So Lord of the Flys will occur, as there will probably be no moderation when the day occurs.

     

    Just my two cents worth.

    Stays night for a full day. Harmful to those that need to go to WS with a low defense.

    Lord of the Rings Day

    All signs do not work. Must have ring, go via ship, or teleport there. Will increase the need for rings and thus use the vast number of rings that are available at present.

     

    Brown-Out Day

    Someone pulled the plug to the portals rooms.

     

    Role reversal Day

    All animals attack and all monsters won’t unless attacked. MM does not work against the animals—only against the monsters. (Just think of all the bears that will attack us or those that are afk and get killed by a skunk).

    Hold on.

     

    My router/firewall runs NAT, so all 3 computers on the network would report the same IP on EL, although I only use one of the computers. Are you going to blame me for another player using my network? Thankfully, that is not an issue atm, cos I banned the wife and children from playing as it can be addictive! Just wondering how such an incident would be resolved.

     

     

     

    Yes, ultimately you are responsible for everybody using your IP adress.

     

    If you can't sort it out on your side, you can apply to be whitelisted.

     

     

    What about dial-up connections? Not everyone has a static IP. So how will you handle a situation, where someone plays with the same IP as someone else did before and breaks the rules?

     

    I play at university sometimes, how could I ever control who else plays EL here?

    The reason they are able to destroy the area is because the parks and historical places are run by the state and fall under natural resources and recreation. And since they provide free or relatively free access, the state has cut the budgets on them for other larger income needs. So not only can the employees still working the area not keep up with the cleaning, the area cannot be "policed" to stop the vandalism. The only thing you can do is write your congress and complain. If you can get at least 5 people to voice similar concern, chances are that it will be taken care of. As for the offenders, may they burn in hell.

    What a spammy thread... just for that, I'm gonna hafta give you my recipe for Gnome & Spam sandwiches...

    ROTFL!! That's excellent.

     

    I was discussing Gnomes for food on 24 the other day, and mentioned I needed to talk to Sheesh about her recipies. It looks like I've got someone else to source them from, great! :-)

     

    Also, the suggestion was that they kinda tough. Do you have any suggestions on how best to marinate them (in particular how long is best) to reduce the toughness?

     

     

    I would suggest to pound them with a wooden hammer until about 1cm thick. This is done after the insides are well marinated in the brandy ;)

    The comment that "Our scientists are still investigating this ore" is good except for Hydrogenium. Our scientists have not found this ore, it may be a hoax or it may be real. It is just "rumored" that it even exists. May just be wishful thinking :) .

     

    As for the general description, where it is located as for a map destination will not be given. However, I can easily provide you with general locations for example, Sunflowers are found in areas with full sunlight OR red toadstools are located in wooded areas with little light, etc. I wrote similar for the xml books, so it would not be hard to quickly give you these types of descriptions. :)

    The least the kid could have done was be original. People have killed themselves over any RP game since RP games first became popular. I am sure I am not alone when thinking back to the old dice game of Dungeons and Dragons and people killing themselves over the game and actually having rl PK in bar rooms across the globe--and that was in the 1980's. So its sad, yes, but I do not feel sorry for people that cannot take these games as they really are--plain and simple a game.
