1. what about having something like an animal/ monster/ dragon tamer npc? you could possibly rent out monsters , dragons, or animals for various purposes, and you would pay more for a more powerful monster. pplus, a hefty charge for if you got the rented creature killed (so, if ppl rented them out for battle, they would have to pay more). you could use it for things like transportation, battle support, or a mule for bringing matirials from your position to storage, or just to hold the stuff.the creatures that are rented would also last longer than summoned creatures , but would cost tons of money and have more uses. this could take money out of game because even though the rate of making harvesting/manufacturing/crafting/alchemy is increased, the ppl using them would have to pay money for the creature's services, there fo taking out a large part of the player's profits.

example1: someone who uses a creature to sell lilacs while he/she keps harvesting, then at the end of the el day, he/she has to pay rent for the creature, and that takes a fairly large amount of his/her profit for that day, and slowes down the amount that person makes.

example2:someone rents out maybe, a horse for transportaion. the person makes no money from this, but it takes considerably less time to get to the desired destination. plus, if the person rents out a flying creature, he/she has to pay more because it would take even less time to get to the destination.

example3:large numbers of fairly powerful monsters are rented out for say, a guild war. this in itself is taking out a hefty sum of money from the game. then, most likely many of them will be killed, which takes out an even larger amount of money, whether or not the guild wins.one problem ive noticed with this is that, with so much money leaving the game, prices would dramaticly change with every guild war.

another idea i had was that if you food level goes as far below zero as possible, the player loses health. this would encourage people to bring food into wherever they get money from. this will limit the amount of matirials that each player can hold at once, therefor slowing down the player's money gain slightly.

this is all i could think of at the moment. more ideas will be posted as they come.

  2. you know your are addicted to el when...

you are up so late playing el that your parents come and unplug the computer, because you cant bring yourself to turn it off yourself

when it is normal to be playing el for 30 hours at a time

when you get into an arguement with someone, and cell them a "smegin n00b!"

when you think wearing a white cape will make you heal faster, or a grey cape will make you never get hungery

when you get your mom's prize sunflowers, the really god wine, and a test tube, mix it all together, and drink it. you then wonder why everything is spinning and you have to go to the hospital.

you buy the most powerful computer on the planet, for the sole purpose of playing el without grues eating you, and none of that "resync with the server" nonsense. you destroy it with a baseball bat when you still get both.

note: srry if any of this has been said already. i think i skipped a page or two and may have missed it.

when you have spen so long inside playing el, you get sunburned from a flashlight.

  3. They're spelled eczema and asthma. Somebody who has had those conditions since birth would know that. Unless you're... Two years old?

Also, neither of those are close to fatal. Eczema is a skin irritation and if you know how to use an inhaler and take your meds, asthma and allergies are nothing more than annoyances.

    176543

eh, close enough. but i wasnt really trying to spell it correctly ( i wrote it just before i went to bed). and as for close to fatal, it kinda feels like that if you have it really bad. but, either way, you get the point of my post.

and, this really isnt the kind of thing you take seriously. lighten up will ya?

  4. i just skipped the gamer purity test. it assumed that you had a girlfriend/ boyfriend, whereas a true gamer wouldnt CARE about that sort of thing, unless the girl/boy was also a gamer. personally, i couldnt care less about that, for it would be too hard to pry myself from the tv or coomputer long enough to engage in that sort of activity.

  5. ...you want to be a god...

    176311

yeah, basically, but if i must choose something different, i would choose the invulnerabilty power. with it i would be able to

    1) get rid of that smegin exima , athsma, allergys, any OTHER close-to-fatal-but-not-quite diseases ive had since birth

2)i would never get sick (would cause me to go to school more often though)

    3) be able to pick any fight i want, and always win cuz cant get hurt.

4)i could sell myself as a proffesional daredevil, and make lots of money ;)

  6. just a few ideas on my part:

    1) letting other ppl into your house/ rented room:

have the ability to give someone a temporary "key" into the room, that dissapears when they enter the room. The owner of the room/ house (whatever ends up being the case) has the ability to boot someone out, if they dont leave when they are told to by the owner.these "keys" would also be untradable, to keep out unwanted guests.

    2) Skill Training inside the house:

i argree with not being able to get exp while training a skill, but on certain skills, or parts of skil only. i think that having, maybe, either a whole new set of skills that only apply inside the house/ room. some of these could be: carpentry, to make thing like furniture, design, add different designs to the stuff you make with carpentry. this could work as: when you get the room, its completely empty, and you have to make, or buy, the furniture that is inside the room. for example: you can lvl up your carpentry and make yourself, say a bed, or a chair. then with a design skill, you can make thngs like, a blanket or curtains for the room. and, you can make different patterns to put on those things.

    3) other thing to do inside the room:

maybe, depending on how much you pay, you can have special feature inside the room. such as: having a wardrobe. it could be possible to buy clothes, or accesories, etc, and store them in the wardrobe, then be able to change cloths from there.

another possible thing to do would be to buy some sort of storage, or display case. so you could have a seperate storage inside the room that you pay for for. one form of payment would be: for each emu that is stored inside the seperate storage, you pay a certain amount (maybe somewhere around .2 gc for each emu)

. another payent type would be, each storage cest, vault, etc., could hold a certain amount, and when you ran out of space, you would have to either move it all into the standard storage, or buy a new chest, vault, etc., and the more the storage system can hold, the more it costs.

    4) payment types for a room

i think that there should be certain pros/ cons for owning or renting a room. here are some ideas:

solution1) rent a room. each ingame week/ month/ day, you have to pay for all the expenses that you have included in the room ( some are descibed in the previous section) , plus the cost of the room. i agree that the initial cost of the room should be much higher than the annual rent.

solution2) for a much higher cost than renting, you could buy the house/room straight out, and never have to pay for it again.plus, with buying a room, you can buy some land around it that is unique to the room/ player. for example: you could pay a substantial amount to be able to have a mine, garden with harvestable items (again, no exp should be given, as this would be an unfair advantage), or just a general bacyard or lot, to be able to have something else to obtain matirials, relax, etc. but, as opposed to renting, you cant buy thing like extra storage (other than the one given to you by default) from the owner of the room/ house.

More ideas will be posted as i think of them.

  7. i would be want to be able to change reality. like, for example, take thing/ppl out of existance, change things that happened, create things out of thin air, create minions to do your bidding, make yourself immortal, psychic, give yourself superpowers, the possibilitys are lliterally endless!

and, my personal favorite part of this, you could create a new reality where you can create a paradise for yourself, you are king/queen, or just an escape from the reality that you cannot stand

  8. there is a reason why i used months, instead of weeks, and rounded them to 30.

    1) too hard to count full weeks without a calender. for months you can just coun in your head. (hopefully)

2)i understand there may be some confusion with step 9. just edited it, so that should clarify things.

but thx, i didnt catch that :P

ill add your name to the "special thx" list...
