When option "local chat" will be enabled you always will talk on local excluding time when you use "/" or "@" . When "local chat" will be dissabled you always will talk on sellected channel excluding time when you use "/" or "@". In this case "@" will send text to "local" channel. It dont must be a option in options... it can be for example a small button beside channellist tab-bar (left upper corner of the screen) etc. 216451[/snapback] I know I personally have trouble getting my channels straight, even when we only had the option of speaking in local or one other channel. The reason I believe we have local channel as default is for roleplaying reasons: just speak aloud, and others around you can hear. To speak in a channel requires something special, since the players you're communicating with are not always even in the same map, hence the useage of the @ symbol. I could be wrong, but that's the way I see it. To have the ability to change the default "channel" from local to the channel in use will create only confusion. How would you speak in local chat then? Personally, I don't see this as needed. I know for the Windows version that there is a Notepad version of the configuration editor. Being a relative novice at computers, I found that version very easy to use- it explained everything I was changing, and all you needed to change was often "yes" or "no", in the form of 1 and 0. Save the document again, and the changes are saved and reflected in-game. With the expanded options menu that came with the last major update, it has made options even easier to change. If this wasn't what you meant, then I apologize.

Actually, she did much more than that. In fact as I recall from a biography I read about Rosa Parks, she was tapped from the beginning by such groups as the NAACP to purposely sit in that section and refuse to give up her seat. By giving segregation and racisim a face, that of Rosa Park's, it helped spur support for an entire bus boycott that was highly successful because so many people were inspired by her and others' actions. Even some whites were encouraged to support the black cause because of actually seeing discrimination and racism in action. Because of the successful bus boycotts, blacks everywhere were inspired to fight for their rights and spurred many other demonstration, boycotts, and marches, despite the dangers they faced. After all, many were brutally murdered, black leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. were assassinated, many more were beaten, threatened, and more. Despite all this, they still carried on and fought for their rights. Eventually they were listened to, mainly through the Civil Rights Act of 1965 and Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas in 1957. but also through other laws and cases on the national, state, and local level. Though there is still work to be done to ensure equal rights for all despite skin color, much of this may not have been possible without a little old black woman from Montgomery named Rosa Parks. Rest in peace. Edit- I am doing this all from memory, and it has been quite a few years since I read the biography so forgive my lapses as they occur ^_^

The same thing happened to me- although I had a slightly longer time between games (only about a week or so), it worked perfectly fine after the update until that happened. When you save the file, go to save as, change the file format from .bmp to .jpg (preferebly under a new name), and tada, a jpg. However, you will lose quality. I suggest making it a .png file instead ^_^

On every single PK map I've been on, I've been attacked at least once by a player or my friends have been while training. There is no such thing as a "training room," not even the rooms in-game that are noted as such, such as the one in the magic school. PK maps are called PK for a reason- player-killing. Perhaps with the introduction of dueling, training would become less dangerous, but until it is implemented, one will always risk being killed by others in a PK map- because that's what it's for.

Both sides bring up valid points, and a compromise may be reached between them, perhaps in the evolution of the "look" feature as Lorck is suggesting.

I don't think I truly understand why one would want to hide their stats from the rest of the public. Does it really matter if people can see where you put your pickpoints? In fact it's handy to see what is successful and what isn't. Enyo, since you seem to be the greatest supporter of this new change, how does this benefit you as a player? And how does this benefit all of us as a community? As a game? I suppose it's because I really can't see the purpose behind this move to set privacy. Why would it matter if someone has privacy set to on or off?
