  1. Honey, I shrank the Ants!

Awww, they're so cute! They look good enough to eat... Chocolate-covered ants, anyone?
  2. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai looked up at Dunian with a full sigh of relief. "Dunian, do you know healing? Take care of LadyWolf, I need to tend to Brom... watch her shoulder, it's been ripped apart." A promise was a promise, she needed to tend to Brom first. Crossing her arms in thought, she thought of an idea on how to relocate Brom's arm. Gently flipping him over so that he was on his stomach now and that his injured arm was hanging haphazardly off the edge of the bed, Kendai took a bucket full of coal she had found near the fireplace to him. Forcing Brom's fingers around the handle, she took a leather strap and wrapped it around both his hand and the bucket so that it was secure. "Well, here goes nothing..." She then let go of the bucket, letting it and his arm swing downwards. With an audible *pop*, the arm relocated itself into the shoulder socket, although this would have brought an intense amount of pain to Brom had he been awake. Smiling in triumph to see that her plan had worked, she quickly unstrapped the bucket of coal from Brom's hand and laid him on his back again, checking his shoulder for any lasting damage. It would probably never feel the same again thanks to his venerable age, but it would heal. Meanwhile she checks on his head, particularly the back of it where it had violently hit the rock. She didn't know what kind of damage would result from it... would he even remember anything, if he woke up at all? Kendai tossed the thoughts aside. He would get better, and so would LadyWolf, or so the gods help her... (ooc- Yes, I did take a first aid class But that's actually from a survival trading card game or something to that effect... )
  3. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

(OOC- Brom, when you said I was one of the best fighters we had, I knew we were in trouble *has 29/31 a/d* lol) (OOC- edited to fit ) Kendai blanched nervously. She had tried to tell them that she wasn't a fighter, that she was an alchemist, but it hadn't worked and suddenly she found herself face to face with a thankfully-almost-dead artic chimeran wolf, her two good friends knocked out nearby. Guess I'm going to see the Irilion underworld after all... she thought to herself as she stood in front of her two friends, protecting them from the artic menace. Though still badly hurt from the flames and LadyWolf's teeth and claws, it still sensed the weak pray and growled as it suddenly leaped forward at Kendai. Thinking fast, she quickly threw up her sword, and the wolf neatly impaled itself on it, terrible cries of pain as the force of the leap had knocked Kendai to the ground with it on top. With a grunt, she pushed the wolf off herself and beheaded it so that it would no longer suffer. Breathing hard, she rushed back to her friends. Now she could be useful... taking out her pouch and the necessary essences (she was so glad she had grabbed so many out of her own personal stock), she cast the remote healing spell on both of them, helping to keep their injuries from being grieveous. She looked up and saw Bethurc. "Here, help me take them inside..." Bethurc pointed towards an empty house, and together they brought Brom and LadyWolf inside, although Kendai was still not quite sure how it had gotten unlocked. Drinking a potion that would restore her spiritual energy and making a face at the taste, she cast the remote healing spells on her friends twice more for good measure. She frowned at Brom's dislocated arm and turned to Bethruc. "Have any idea on how to pop an arm back into a shoulder socket?"
  4. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai's eyes went wide at the warning. "What?? Oh great... everyone, back inside now!"
  5. Strange weather!

    We had a snowstorm in mid-Illinois, and even though all the other schools around us got cancelled, we didn't because we have a literal army of snowplows ^_^;;;
  6. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai set her mug down, standing up to her full height. "I'm coming, I'm coming." She smirked, picking up her things off the floor. She nodded in acknowledgement at Bethurc, towering over the human. (OOC- hope you're human... )
  7. snow day!

Methinks this should be in miscellaneous It's not fair though, all the surrounding schools got a snow day, and we didn't because we have an army of snow brushes and plows Oh well, snow's still pretty ^_^
  8. Race skills

The beauty of a no-class system like EL has is that you can choose what you want to do. I may be an orchan, but it doesn't stop me from focusing on alchemy. Besides, Draegoni are supposed to be peaceful creatures, so maybe they should get the bonus in defense rather than attack. Instead, have humans get the bonus in attack, since they're so warlike anyway I think this idea might try to enforce class restrictions onto specific races and therefore I wouldn't support it, but I could be misinterpreting. ^_^
  9. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai frowned slightly, watching Dunian leave. I hope he knows what he's doing... she thought to herself. She continued watching the beggar closely, their voices too low for her to catch their conversation. Was this friend or foe?
  10. Screenshots submissions for website

This is Blaki's and Xaio_Qaio's wedding on the small island in Whitestone ^_^ This is AnnieHaslam's screenshot, but I thought it was pretty cool ^_^ Too bad we can't doctor the screenshots, because I've got better ones, but chat gets in the way :glare:
  11. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai, already sitting on one of the stools with a mug of warm ale in her hands (to warm them up, of course, wink), glanced curiously at the peddler heckling Brom. Despite her race, she was not stupid, as she had once been an elf, but that was another story altogether. She watched Brom and the strange man closely for trouble, just in case.
  12. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

(er... who's in which group? I'm a bit confused now... ^_^;;; lol)
  13. The Curse of the Uncursed

Squeeness! **is excited to see herself in it** Looks like an exciting tale, can't wait to see what happens!
  14. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai smiled a bit as she saw them coming. "I'm glad I'm not alone on this trip. Anyone know what in Draia is going on? What happened to finding jewel monkeys?" Despite her warm furs, Kendai shivered a bit. Bloody frozen wasteland...
  15. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai meanwhile has gotten off the boat, suddenly feeling very lonely and slightly afraid. An orchan left to her own devices in a frozen wasteland with little food probably wouldn't last long. Thankfully she had come prepared with the furs, but she was little prepared for anything else these lands may bring. She lingers by the gangplank, waiting to see if anyone else got off with her. Yes, she was definitely beginning to regret she had ever heard of those jewel monkeys... curse her curiosity...
  16. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Dressed head to toe in warm furs and grabbing her things (ooc- I look like a Native American when I'm dressed in fur lol ), Kendai climbed back up to the deck, frowning slightly. If they ran into one of those legendary artic chimeran wolves, she would be dead in a heartbeat. She walked up next to Brom. "What's going on? What's with all the ice and snow? I thought we were chasing jewel monkeys, not jewel polar bears..."
  17. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai sighed, standing nearby to Fox. "LadyWolf did. I do admit, maybe I bit off more than what I could chew by volunteering to go on this journey..." Shivering in the cold, her fur clothing still in her bag, she nods towards Fox and takes her leave of him, heading down to the deck below to grab her furs. Orchans were not designed for the icy chilliness of the winterlands...
  18. Ubuntu Linux Fix me

Hey, that's what my game looked like before it completely broke down! Yep, it's more than likely the video card apparently

  20. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

(yay, back to Irilion! ) Kendai grins. "It's good to see you again, Lady, long time no see. Chasing these jewel monkeys as well?"
  21. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai saw the storytelling draegoni and smiled as she climbed up the ladder. "Brom! Good to see you again. Checking out the legend of these jewel monkeys?" She turned when the Piper gave his announcement. "It's a pity that he couldn't be here himself, he was the one who informed me of the monkeys, after all."
  22. The Curse of the Uncursed

Sounds like a cool idea, give me some time to come up with something Edit: All right, let's do this ^_^ Name: Kendai Age: 136 Gender: female Race: was once an elf, now an orchan Weapon: usually weaponless, but a quarterstaff if needed Skills/strengths: mainly alchemy, but I dabble in other things. I don't PK. Weaknesses: not very high level. and my curiosity gets me into LOTS of trouble Description: pink skin, long black hair tied back in a braid, gold-colored eyes, fangs, black shirt, dark blue pants, black boots. I am respectful and friendly to everyone, but if I see an injustice, I will try to help. I focus mainly on alchemy, but I love to explore, as I have a strong sense of curiosity. Background: I was once a young elf learning my way around the world. One day I was searching for the mysterious man named the Joker, but I ran into an old man, a wizard. To make a long story short, he cursed me and I became an orchan. Having not found the Joker yet, my curiosity got me in trouble once again when I was exploring Mortos's temple, died, and my body was possessed by the priest. The priest used my body to try and sabotage the journeys to find Irilion, but my friends helped me break free of the enchantment. Not sure what else you need, but I tried to be as specific as possible Best of luck with the story! ^_^
  23. Items cooldown

Ah, then I misinformed myself. With so many replies to this thread, it is hard to keep track of what is truth and what is fiction. As I was reading through previous discussions of a cooldown, I thought that increased experience per item made was part of the deal. Apparently, no (or hopefully, not yet). I'm sorry for misinforming the rest of you :shame: For now then... hang tight. I'm no longer sure how this would benefit. I still believe in supply vs. demand, and that with less supply comes higher prices. But if demand drops too (after all, PKers can't use up the items as quickly as they need to and thus have less need for them), then the same problems still exist, there will simply be a "smaller" economy with low supply and low demand, as opposed to now with high supply and average demand. The problem with mass manufacturing is that there is too much supply for training items. HEs and SRs are at a relatively healthy price, because of the need for them by PKers. But for other items, such as armor or rings, they are not demanded in large masses by PKers and thus mass manufacturing them (in order to level up) ruins the prices because of high supply and little or no demand. HEs and SRs are not the problem in mass manufacturing; other items such as rings or armor are. Just remember, this is only an experiment. Let's give Entropy his month of testing, and then suggest what can be fixed
  24. The Jewel Monkeys of Kusamura

Kendai paid the toll and stepped aboard, the gnome captain welcoming her and showing her to her cabin. Though he appeared slightly nervous at the huge orchan following behind him, he unlocked the door and gave her the keys. "I trust that everything has been provided for?" Kendai asked, black bushy eyebrow raised. He nods, his head bobbing up and down. "Yes, everything's been arranged. We'll arrive in Irillion late tomorrow. Safe journey, Miss Kendai." With that, he scuttled off quickly, supposedly to greet other passengers as they arrived, but perhaps he was also frightened by the large orchan on his ship. He had nothing to fear, really- Kendai didn't eat gnomes, they gave her indigestion. Kendai set down her things on the bed, having to crouch down in order not to hit her head on the ceiling. Well, this was certainly going to be an adventure... Kendai pulled on her cloak again and stepped out of the cabin. It made her feel claustrophobic. She went back up to the deck again, to see who her fellow passengers may be.
  25. Items cooldown

This is my point exactly. If DonPedro hits you with a thermal, how do you think you should survive that? Quite simply, you can't. True, I don't PK. I certainly don't have the high levels required to survive. But I have witnessed higher level players PK with each other (like when I saw Surfy and SoAd7777 train up Fireballs when he reset, in Tahraji Desert. Then CG came and PKed little me first because I'm only a n00b ). You and I know the risks when we step into a PK area, plain and simple. Expect to die, especially if there are higher level players who are hungry for blood Remember, this system will affect the higher level PKers as well as the lower level. If you don't like it, train enough so that you're no longer lower level. The point about alchemy/manufacuring: it will be slower to make items, but you get more experience per item. You no longer have to mass manufacture in order to level up. You would no longer have to deal with excess items that no one wants but are essential for training. You would thus have fewer items in the market. Even if the demand for these items remain steady (or, best possible scenario, they increase), prices will rise for those items because supply is lower. Dare I say, a more steady economy?
