It amazes me the time spend in these discussions. today via the viking forum I was able to communicate with DonPedro and i fully accept his argument as to his departure....saddened by yes, but understand. For those who are staying...it is differant, Why are you here? ask all of you that simple question. If it is as a place to make friends...hang out with online buddies....fall in love ...whatever its your time and its cool. You have become a part of one community. But if you wish to play the game per se......well what is it??? because it involves levelling and making your char grow. It is obvious that the game will constantly change...in fact get harder. It is a game one needs to adapt to play . Some will spend large amounts of real money to become an uber player...others will sit forever and kilk away its your life do what you like. Looking here its not these items that is the problem it is ...a failure to change. The points raised by pk ers amuse me....you all hate ros stones, but use them..... I would guess most have bought items from the shop. The idea of going pking with less than the pro gear on has merit, just maybe it is the way to go. We hear about the lack of "drops" this approach could remedy that in a flash. I would say to you....those who wish to keep playing.....do not think items like thermals..then COL...then the BOD or BO Destruction are the thin edge of the wedge.......I doubt they are even the tip.

Night before last had a short chat with a guy I see at the cyc spawn....passed usual chat he then told me he had been playing for 29 hours pretty much straight thru'. I know he comes from southernUK.....and it is full summer...we have a world cup playing...there are women out there....life is good, why I wondered would you commit so much time to a game. I asked him ....if perhaps he was housebound for some reason and he replied it was just his addiction to the game. I found myself with a mental visual.... of him at the pc.....full ash tray...plates on the floor...and i found it just a little troublesome. I have recently been ill...and unable to attend to business for some weeks, so yes i have played more than usual, but forget the game...the pc could'nt hold my attention for more than an hour or two. To cheer myself up i purchased a wireless free lap top....and can sit in my garden check my stuff...visit fav sites...blogs...and ofcos' the EL forum. I used to play about an hour..maybe two per evening.....so at best I am only ever going to be a mediocre player, but well....being at home more I have found they are game charactors that are running like 24/7. Not everyone can be housebound...nor say an at home mother or dad, some have to be dossers who sit around playing pc games instead of looking for work. One of the new things I have found...is looking into other guilds web sites, those that let you anyway. I like the whole concept...to me it represents the best of the net. Total strangers becoming friends with a common interest, among those i like are the PIGS...RIVA....TCB....HC....and CEL that really is a delight they are to be commended for their site alone...it is great. Recent Forum postings....have troubled me actually....it is obvious that for some this game is something that they live , eat, breathe...and I expect dream about. I now think this game forms as much of their reality as everyday life does, and for some who are stuck at home...that is no bad thing. But it also needs to be balanced...maybe slotted into a differant priority. To see a player have to...or feel oblidged atleast to defend themselves daily within these very forums is distasteful. This particular person is not a friend of mine....I only spoke to them once...and they did not seem to have any interest in talking to me....so i have left them in peace ever since. Taking the piss is fun...i have an addiction to it myself...but...big but!!!! it does'nt have to get nasty. Thank you.

OMG, since you are an inteligent person, this is malice. Ok, lets take down teh troll: Lets read at Ghrae's signature. Where in that post he stated it was official? If he said that i would just stfu. Ghrae is a player, and have player opinions. If he makes some offensive coment (it was the case) as a player, other players cant react to that. I left CEL out of this, read one of my comments on this topic. Its extremly unlikely that i will see Ghrae on a pk map, because almost never he goes there. So, the chances of he getting killed are extremly slim. In the other hand, he can ask to some higher level fighter/summoner to take me down and they will. So, there are a no win situation for me. And i still did that. Why? Because it was the right thing to do. Oh, vamp, it was just unbelieveble to try to warp an issue to make me "have a war against the mod team". But, we will always have those who hunt out .....and get their rocks off by messing up others training. That may be true. And I may not sell RoPs. But I'm not going to stop modding because I might lose sales of RoPs. PKers know they kill players. Some do it without cause just because they can. And they don't use RoPs to kill people way below their levels. If they can't live with the occassional Outlaw post about them, I suggest they don't PK. But, there is also a mindset here....I wonder how many people here remember Brisingammen and Shenriss? for those who don't let me try to explain...they are a rl couple who played....formed their own guild with rl friends. They played with honour. I don't think they pk'd, everything went good until suddenley they flew up the ratings, then they didnt get any peace. They pvp together....and were continually attacked. Their names are still high up the ratings.....(unless they have made new char's) they have sadly gone. This type of game.....where you can do "harm" to your opponent will always bring out the worst in a few and that can spoil for the many. You hear the term Pro used.....and several use it to describe themselves, well......there has been only one pro player during my time...one player who altered the game for us all....altered it for those who might never know of him....that is Mr Mind. He had a clear vision....to f*@%$ the economy and he did it.

I agree. You on a pk map to pk. All know that it is a pk map. If you enter in agreement of training, then you have common courtesy rules between you and the other. I think all should show respect to eachother and be polite. That means leave them alone. Don't kill them just cuz you can. Bag jumping on any map is just rude. Saving someones bag makes you a hero in that persons eyes. So I not see outlaws here. I do see some players that are rude and plain mean. But thats the game. Thank you. I think that so much is made about pk....or rather those who pk for a living and if you add up the time they spend here...it is for them a full time job. I would like to know the percentage of players who do not pk.....do you find crafters hurling abuse at other crafters..... Magicians buggering up other players spells??? Having built your att and def to a certain level...all you can do really is hunt someone weaker hit people training...s'pect thats a real hoot!!. If you have a guild war....set a time and place have a right royal dust up....the rest of us would love to watch. ChroniC too. 55/60 a/d when people like atmos n most of =Hc= n00bs didn't play. none of those char were nice tho......so some might say to hold their memory with pride might be......ummmmm just a little foolish. So it was you that got into the Phax account and traded with me ??? right??? Iam curious from when good stats mean good player.Levels only shows how much time did u waste on el I think its a kinda of art to optimize the exp gain per hour without losing much pk performance. Of course, if you screw your social life and live only to play you will get level regardless of being good in the game or not. EDIT: I also agree that Ejderha is a sux0r, i attack him on sight, etc. But he knows how to play this game. if you live on the game....you cannot help but excel......remember tho' he is a doctor

Hi, just a thought.....suggestion could it be possible to alter things that "no drop" day is not in the list of random days , but that we could have it ...say twice a month???? It took the fun back into game play . Non Pk people.....people with low stats..new peeps all turned up. PK is a pretty tightassed event....seemingly based on total hatred for somone you don't even know...nor even care about!!!! But this event...it rocked!!!! it would encourage those whose storage is limited...or only have a few items to learn the techniques of fighting. It might even cause those who get up their own backsides to stop and converse ....try eachother out and have a great time. Don Pedro said to me"always remember its just a game" to make this a regular event would be a suitable memorial to the charactor he played. ps...... to those of you that list on guild applications as their interests as "flaming forums" (and I guess you know who you are) feel free to practice your art.
