  1. What I think is hilarious, Ent, is that you CANNOT get banned from a game you play by saying it sucks, or a GM sucks, etc. I know Blizzard employees personally, and nothing like that EVER happens. Also, from personal experience, if people are PAYING to PLAY a game, they typically don't globally say it sucks >.>. Personally, I think Blizzard has some of the best tech support. They have millions of users, they have dozens of servers, to track, isolate and find a bug in a game that isn't even COMPARABLE to EL on a scale, and even see if the reported bug indeed is a bug, takes time. As I said earlier, personally knowing staff that are GMs in game, also developers that code and fix bugs, they, when they find a bug, fix it extremely fast.. Saying you can fix a bug in a stand alone server that 400 people play is by me no great means of accomplishment.

Personally, I think you're too self-righteous, gloating for your ability to fix a bug quickly..

  2. I boot it up and see nothing, I hear no beeps, nothing. It just turns on and it lights up.. *2 minutes later* still nothing. Just trying to figure out which part could be bad..

Could it also be that my motherboard is SLI ready, and not my video card? If so I can purchase a new one off of my friend brand new he has. This could be the problem..

  3. Hello.. I have recently bought new parts for a new computer.

    Here are my parts:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813131568 <--- Motherboard

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817190011 <--- AMD Processor

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817190011 <--- Power Supply

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820134011 <--- Kingston RAM

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811144026 Computer Case

Everything IS plugged in correctly on the motherboard, I am positive. I have checked, double checked triple checked and had someone else look it over etc. I turn the computer on, and everything boots up. However I get NO visuals on my monitor

The power light in the front display just stays orange. However, if I unplug my monitor cord from the back of the video card it says signal lost. There were reports on the Newegg.com website that others couldn't get this same mobo up and running, however their reasons were they could NOT boot up after the first time, I can time and time again. Also, the reason I am questioning my video card is because I bought it off of Ebay in used condition. I have bought products from this same person before and didn't question its quality. It looks perfectly fine. My BIG question is how can I tell if it is my motherboard, as stated by other customer reviews, or my used video card. If I send the motherboard back and its new I lost a great motherboard and kept a bad vid. card, rather than a good video card and bad mobo. Just trying to be convenient.

Also, I am having to use my power supply that comes in my case, with the XION one I bought, I can only get it to boot once.. Someone mentioned that it might not be SLI Ready Power Supply. If this could be verified that would be cool.

  4. I live on the East Coast and it hit me in Michigan along with several people I know, including Texas, New York and New Jersey. So it may have been a server problem with their host :> Or back to my idea of the end of the world of wide spread internet problems :>

  5.

If ppl want to share spawns thats fine but if they dont and they "steal" one doesnt make them an outlaw.

Well I disagree.. and as most players conform to the no spawn stealing unoffical rule.. the majority would see it as an outlaw activity as it goes against the general community way..

Even if I see an enemy guild training at a spawn I walk off... (of course if the spawn has more than 1 creature then it should be shared....but even in this case ..people usually ask if the person minds).

Normally the people that do steal a spawn are the first to scream and shout if you jump in on one of theirs... Best way to deal with persistent spawnjumpers is to gather a bunch of friends.. and surround the spawnjumper and heal his fight.... (oh wait a min..wouldnt that be an outlaw activity?? well live by the sword..die by sword).

I agree peope who steal spawns show no honour therefor how can the show honour in any aspect of the game or prolly in rl

I agree. No one steals owns spawns. But using the same one or taking over whilst the other one is still there is wrong too. I've been thinking of a real life situation. I hope its suitable...

Say you're a dude and you're taking a leak in a urinal. You're using the urinal but you don't *own* it. What if some dude came upto you and started using it as well. How pissed (pun intended) would you be? But if you walk away from it and then its used after then its cool

Or how about in Herald and Kumar where one dude is using a bush and out of no where another dude comes and compliments you :> I'll keep it PG :>

  6. All right thanks. I have been playing EL forever on this same video card, however that was on Windows XP. I have had to use Linux on an old harddrive from my basement in my old Pentium 3 Processor. It is 6.4 GB XD! So for now i'm stuck playing EL ;D. I will get to that now.

  7. Before I post that, is there another way to install the game? As stated before i'm quite new to Linux and there was no valid looking 'installer' rpm or any file like that to be executed in the terminal. If there is, that's my problem. I launch the game by running the static file :S, and my #data_dir=/home/cryptic/el/Eternal Lands-1.33. As for permissions.... Yeah. It appears I am able to read and modify content..
