FWIW: My test server character had a spare pickpoint so I went to see the Wraith. I got a Will attribute and my max MP went from about 40 to 80. (Phys is 12, Will is now 5, all the other basic attribs are 4.) If MPs increase this quickly now, I'm afraid to know why. (Grin) Dave

A good game has players and NPCs that are of equal intelligence. A good game isn't necessarily realistic (after all, we play to escape the real world) but it must be consistent. In a good game, gravity is optional. Dave

Placid, As ttlanhil has pointed out, I asked this question in Help Me earlier. (Thanks T!) I need to know from a server-side point of view. I want to do some time-related operations in my bot. Respectfully, I'd rather not wait a year (or even a game year) to see at what date the month clicks over. If someone familiar with the server's timekeeping could drop me a note, that would be great. Folks, I understand about the six-hour days in-game, but is the calendar the same as "out here"? In other words, how many months are in a game year and how many days are in each month? (Twelve 30-day months would be so nice and easy to program for.) Dave

You know you -and- your kid play too much when: 1) He wants to harvest Mom's lilacs and roses from the front yard. 2) You go for a drive and point out the tiger lilies, impatiens, sunflowers, and iron ore in the neighborhood. As punishment for killing or harming a unicorn, would it be possible to reverse the effects of the character's actions some percentage of the time? For example, a poison spell affects the caster, not the target. Heal or Body Restoration removes material points instead of restoring them. Physical attacks can bounce back and hit the attacker instead. If you implement a karma system, the percentage of times that a spell or attack backfires is proportional to the amount of negative karma (similar to the way a character's low manu level increases the odds of losing ingredients). Otherwise, a fixed percentage would do. With a low reversal percentage the curse could be made permanent without destroying the character. Or you could make the curse removable by completing a quest or some other atonement. Either way it wouldn't be circumvented by a "kill the 'corn, go on vacation" trick. Dave
