  1. Very strange indeed.. On monday a player named Seal/Volkenn (A newbie alt he used later) pmed me asking if I wanted to buy a 100 a/d character named something like "RevengeR" for... You guessed it, a CoL.

Though I knew it was a scam, he ended up getting ~16k gc of random items and GC (That he accepted instead of a CoL..) as I wanted to prove beyond all doubt that it was a scam. After the trade he logged off, and I haven't seen him on since..

Strange coincidence? Maybe, but I doubt it.

I was approached by the same guy offering the exact same deal. I wish something could be done.

  2. I dissagree with the whole idea of changing the ts pots. I very rarely post on the forums but it seems to me this is really just an attempt to free up more fluffy spawns. I also believe that if the ts pots get changed that they will fall into near total dissuse. I know of no one who uses them in order to see invisible players. The pots simply don't last long enough. If you take away a/d reducing side effect then they really have no purpose in the game except to open up more fluffy spawns for those around 80-100 a/d.

  3. In my oppinion one of the reasons people skip over chims is that the respawn times with chims are MUCH longer than fluffy. I can get roughly 2 fluffy for every 1 chim and the fluffies have better drops. I get more experiance per chim than I do per fluffy but net more exp from the much faster spawning fluffy. Yetis are much slower spawning than the chims but the items/gc they drop make them worth it.

  4. [13:50:13] [Goblin12 @ 3]: I sell Iron Plate Mail for 8k

    [13:50:35] [PM to Goblin12: I'll buy it]

After traveling from c2 to votd storage to purchase this I discovered the plate was damaged and aborted.

just a warning to watch out for those who fail to mention that their items are not new

  5. My feeling is that the players themselves will never be able to fix this problem. I made a few attempts waaay back when. I gave up on manufacturing for this reason 7 months ago. The thing about beating your head against a wall is that it feels good to stop. Even Ronald Reagan eventually figured out that supply side economics don't work.

  6. The reason I quit manufacturing has nothing to do with the artificer perk. I reset in august 2005 to be free of the perk and I think entropy was generous in his handling of the perk. If anyone wants to know why I gave up manufacturing I'll be happy to tell them in private but would fear to say so here.
