  1. Leveling Up

    I guess you thought Wrong
  2. Names

First off, I'd like to say that I'd like for player's to choose much better Names. I like names that are both Understandable enough to Read as well as interesting enough for me to repete while typing in the game, regardless of whether I'm role-playing or not! Otherwise, we have to resort to Nick names and there's always the occational Misspelling that tends to get aggravating after a while! I really would like if someone can try and encourage a little better name choosing other then "CoolDude" or "12345"! I'm not saying it should be this way but it would be nice. Now, despite that, I ready don't see what your point is. Not only are you being so rude as to saying that othe people shouldn't have the right to Choose their own names but also you don't even have the right critisize anyone else for a name that you deem "Not Good Enough!" It's just makes you sound so Self-Rightous and it's Bloody Annoying to Boot!! So, you can just go jump in a Lake and leave us be!
  3. Some Ideas

Naw! A Crypt would be a Great Idea but it probably be for Quest only! Something Like a Lich that Players must defeat but it will only Spawn once a Day!
  4. Some Ideas

Well now, I like the Idea of an Entire Graveyard Map, full of Zombies and Skeletons! That's sounds Intriguing!
  5. Miscallaneous Suggestions

That would be way too easy! If they were going to do that then they'll have to put some Orcs in there in place of goblins and even that wouldn't be fair to low level player's withoout Monster Mag! What, so you'll never have to move a muscle? Why don't they make the Animal Items just Spawn in your Inventory! No Work at all! See Last Responce! There already is! They're call Teleport Rings.
  6. Storing Items

Wait a Minute! Does this make any sense to you? Wine, if stored properly,) can be stored for a hundred years but MEAT, even if Salted and/or Refrigerated, can't be stored for more then a year (less then a year if only Salted). Vegetables I can understand. Even well Prepared Vegetables can't be stored for more then a month but, at the very least, Bread, Cooked Meat and Bottled Wine, Ale, and Mead should be storable!
  7. I built my guy to look how i wanted him to .... only giving the choices availible! Given More Choices, My guy would look much different! This goes into the Idea that the Character Generator needs a major Overhaul and update! We Need more Character Diversity and Originality!
  8. Currently, you start Crafting with Gold Rings. Not only is that not reasonable but it's also expensive! How about adding in a Minimal Item before Rings. Like Bone Charms: Items needed: 10 Bones, 3 Thread Items required to have: Needle Knowledge needed: General Crafting Required Nexuses: 0 Recommended Skills:0 Base cost: 3 gold Weight: 10 Exp Gained: 5 Something to Start with. You could also make them where only one NPC will buy them just to keep form recycling the Money going into them. Then make that NPC in some far away corner of a map and make up a story about that NPC. Make him a Tribal Shaman of a Tribe currently living on the Continent. We need more character’s in this game with more variety then just the Medieval/Semi-â€Civilized†cities there are now. Just something New!
  9. Red Ants O.o

So, basicly what you're saying is that now that we have Bots who walk around Picking up Trash Littering the grounds, you want even more bots walking around, Littering the Grounds with even more junk? Appearantly I'm not the only person Drunk this late at night!
  10. Also, fix it where it doesn't Turn off unexpectantly without telling you. Also, I don't like not being able to click anywhere else without it turning off. Makes little things like eating a chore. Good idea in theory but needs a lot of fine turning.
  11. How about this: An in Game quest that is very hard to finish and then once you finish, you get a Choice of several Items (the Absolute Highest Rarity Items). You can Only choose one item as your reward and this Quest is the only way to get these items in the game! Very Selective Fragmentation of Players. In the end, Such Items would end up being the most hardest to get items. Pros: Would encourage Player Diversity! Cons: A Player could only use/have one of such an Item, unless he/she can manage to buy it from someone who chooses not to use it.
  12. Summoning Bot?

I kind of like this idea. The question is, what would it be limited to summoning? It would likely need to have all the required Nexus points (for both Summoning and Harvesting for Life Ess) as well as having read all of the Books. Would it just Summon Rabbits, Rats, Deers, Bears and Beavers or will it summon Skeletons, Gargoyles, and Fluffys too?
  13. Well, I really wouldn't know since I haven't played that far into RS! <_< And Dorplein, If you weren't referring to the Walkthroughs, then why did you include my Post refering to them? Either way, I am basing the idea on the Fact that Mult-Character playing is illegal and even if a Player were to create another Character, the Quest itself would be hard enough and Long enough that, in the end, it would hardly be worth it to the player. Why would you spend that much effort on one Character when you could be leveling your main character. On the side, Quick Programming question: Is it possible to Lockout the Character Generator to a Player's ISP if there is already a character Generated form that ISP? I know that that probably wouldn't go over ver easily with players who have other player's in the same household and all but it would solve so many problems. And Lyanna, That I would be proud to do. Only problem is, 'm not too familiar with what is and what isn't possible in this game. Also, I'm not sure what the Goal of each quest should be. It's going to take a lot of thought. Additional, I think I'll change my idea slightly. Instead of a player choosing one a several rewards at the end of the NPC's Quest, the NPC should randomly give each player one of several quests and the player only gains the Rewards depending on which Quests the Player receives. That kind of kills the original point of my idea of havng any choice but it'll put a bit of a damper on player's being able to quote the the quests step by step through Walkthroughs very easily. Also a kicker, How about a time Limit on the quests! Ouch! That'll make people just want to kill me! Nah, just me brainstorming.
  14. Like I said, "Walkthroughs become almost useless and even with a Walkthrough, A player (one Player) still can't cheat that basic Rule!" Granted, with many Players working togeather, each player could possibly work for the benifit of one other player........... ....But then again, That's why the Quests are suppose to be hard to finish! Why would any player spend that much time to do all that work, only to then hand over their hard earned reward to another player? And besides, I never said the Reward HAS to be something of monumental Value and/or advantage! It could be an Reusable Teleport Ring! Or an equally Breakable Titanium Plate Mail! Or even an new Ingrained ability or perk that can help with mundain Tasks! It doesn't Need to be Game Breaking! Well now, I suppose that would depend on the Length and Difficulty of each of the Quests. I'd like to see a little more interactivity in the game. Then, Quests could be expanded somewhat. Text Riddles have been suggested before. Puzzles and selectively Activated Events could cause more Variation as well.
  15. Player Name Change

You could always expand the player Profiles into more detailed Bios and even record a Player's Old name.
  16. Dang! It took this long to get a response to this? Shows just how people think of me! Anyway, Walkthroughs won't be any more troublesome then they are now for the current quests. That's the main reason why I suggested only one such item per player. Even with a Walkthrough, a player still can't cheat the basic rule. Also, as a bonus to it's difficulty, How about having the NPC give completely random quests as well as making the NPC next to impossible to Pin-down! Namely, make the new NPC spawn at Random Places like the Joker. Then, A Player must do a Series of Quests (each randomly Selected) and then return to the NPC (First finding him once again) after each Quest is finished. Most Walkthroughs would be useless because, unlike the Joker, player's aren't going to just memorize it's Respawn Points and, unlike the God Quests, Player's aren't going to be able to Quote the Quests to just any newbie with ambition so no one is guaranteed to have such a high chance of success each time.
  17. First Day Acomplishments

This one's a little difficult to really explain.... See, the first time playing the game, My Friend let me play his Character (Actually, I kind of shanghaied if from while he was playing) and, playing as him, first thing I did was Hit on Jen_Lynn! But, the First Thing I did with my first Character Ever, was spent the whole day killing Rabbits and Collecting Flowers for the Stupid Grammy’s Quest while my friend ‘Back-Seat Played’ the whole time (He was getting me back).
  18. New Manufacturing System

As Much as I Agree entirely with Dent's Views on the subject, I just have to say TOO MUCH DETAIL!! And Yet, He's entirely right. That's basically how it should be to make it adequately realistic without having it perfect. But in all Honesty, the Manufacturing System is by far not the greatest concern in this game, especially since these proposed changes seam only to really regard Swords and, to a lesser extent, Armor. It seams to be only looking almost all other Manufacturing processes! At this rate, the Manufacturing Skill is going to need to be broken up into several sub-skills, such as Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, and Fletching (once Bow and Arrows are implemented), which is kind of logical anyway but before any of these big changes are implemented, I think that the Groundwork for a new system should be included first. One Thing that I think is going to need to be done is to have the Nexus System changed around a bit. Mark my words, once the game gets up and running, the Nexus system is going to kill any thought of Extended Playing Time!
  19. New Manufacturing System

Well, I generally like the idea of making it a little more complicate and Lengthy but I just don't like having all the little things. I mean, there's just too many little things going on at the same time and it really does require so much devotion and concentration! If this game was an All Encompassing, Virtual Reality Game that player's can totally immerse themselves then making everything so precise would be perfect but players are partly playing the game, partly Interacting with the Community, and, for some, living their lives and doing their business around their own homes. Having to use all the Tools is fine. Requiring a Blacksmith is perfect. But there really is no reason to having it so detailed. It’s just unnecessary. Imagine someone Lagging out while making Manufacturing. Or they have to step away from the computer for various reasons.
  20. Mules Would be cool but the Risks to using them should be obvious! Or Maybe WheelBarrels! Would probably be a better choice seeing that it can't be attacked, you don't have to feed it or care for it, and it would have a less of a chance of wandering away from you! Only problem I see with it is the Graphics would be a little Tricky. It would basicly require one 3-D Model Walk (Or roll) in front of another at all times. And then, what would happen to it if a Player Leaves it behind? Would you really want to push that thing everywhere you go? What if you take it into the mines? It's already awefully crowded down there and the Passageways are very narrow! Also, what would really stop another player from just walking up and taking things from it if you set it down for just a moment while harvesting?
  21. Nelson And Bag Jumping

Two Thoughts: 1. I don't like the idea of losing Exp when you die. This basicly means that, if you lose, you could end up leaving the fight with Less Exp then you started with. The whole point of the Battle System in the game is to constantly gain Exp in anything you do. You gain something even when you lose! If you do this then we might as well basicly convert the game into a Platform game where you only gain Exp if you win! 2. Also, there's nothing wrong with leaving behind Bags in Monster Fights. In fact, that's kind of more likely anyway. It doesn't matter how you die, when you die you lose stuff! That's the way it's suppose to be! Unless you completely change the consept of Death in the Game, in which you might as wel prevent player's from losing anythng! After all, Some players train only on Animals! Why should they have to suffer while PKers have such advantages! Now, one minor solution to this would be to have all weapons and Armor degrade one level when dropped. PKer's will still get their reward while those who just return to pick stuff after fights still loses value in reclaiming stuff without making Low Level players pay too drasticly.
  22. To Die In El

Dying Fun?? What? Besides, That's exactly how the game is right now! In this game, Everybody takes chances that they wouldn't even dream of doing in real life! The only thing stopping them from taking even more Chances is the Thought of Losing stuff! If they didn't lose anything, they'd take even more chances! If they found that they'd lose even more stuff (Like Exp) then players won't take ANY Chances. Hmm.... That gives me a thought but First, a question: Is it possible in this game to give players a "Shade" Form? I mean like a Ghost. Here's my Idea: The game should be divided into the Mortal and Spiritual Planes. When you die, Instead of immedantly being Teleported to Hell, you lose your body But stay exactly where you died but in a "Shade" Form. In this form, You can still see everything around you but other player's can see you Unless that player has a very High Perseption only only then not as a very Player from!! Also, you can walk around and travel but you can't touch anything so you can't Harvest anything, Pickup anything, Fight and or enteract with most NPCs! You become Seperated from the Mortal Plane and exist on the Spiritual Plane. Then You Must Find a Way to Ressurect your self. There will be several ways to do this but not every choice would be open to you at all times. You could visit you're God's Priest but only if you're in good standing with your God or else you need to find another way. A Resurection Ritual would also work but might be difficult and Costly. Now for the Kicker! Once on the Spiritual Plane, you're not safe! There are hazards in death that you must avoid or else you'll be dragged into Hell. Like the Grim Reaper who wonders the Maps searching for Lost Souls and if he touches you, you'll automaticly be teleported to Hell. Once in Hell, your mission to regain your body becomes even more difficult now that you must first Escape the Underworld before you can gain a Body. One way is that you can challenge the Reaper to a Fight Or to a Game of some sort in order to get back to the rest of the Game. Another Bonus is that, as a Mortal Player, you can even Travel into Hell (via the Wraith maybe or a "Hell Mouth") for various Quests and such but, as a Mortal Player, the Risk is ever Greater! You can get Trapped or the Denazins of Hell could be even more dangerous then Ogres (maybe not quite as dangerous as Fluffy)! Also, the Climate might not be healthy either! And From this point, I'm stumped. I have no idea as to how Losing Items will be applied here or even as to the question of how talking with the mortal Plane would be figured. But This would open so many options and making dying so more interesting (as well as little more realistic)!
  23. Nah! Eitherway, I just think they should convert the Arena into a Pk Challenge Map where Players you can or can not PK are restricted according to level and/or Equipment. And Instead of dying, the loser can just be transported outside the Arena and the next Challenger can step forward. Like a IronMan contest in a SteelCage match! It's no reason really but it can be kind a lot of fun. Sometimes peple would like to play around with fighting in contests rather then serious life or death struggles! And it's not like they'll remove the Other PK Maps so they will still be there for the War Games Second Player's should be able to watch safely from a distance! Kind of like a Colloseum!
  24. This has probably been answered already but why doesn't Trik Sell Second-Hand armor? I mean, it would drain Money out of the Economy very fast! Trik Can sell Second-hand Armor (He doesn't need them after all) and then player's can then have Tankle try to repair it. That's two NPCs taking Money out of circulation for only one piece of Armor. The Blacksmith already sell Armor but if player's don't want to spend so much they could settle for for lower quality armor for a lower price and then, if the wish to improve it, They'll be spending the same, if not more for the same Item. Now, the obvious question here would be why wouldn't a Player just buy from the Blacksmith. I say, "But Isn't that Marketing? Why sell off your good stuff if people will buy your crap!" It's just an extra option in case someone is interested in not speading as much for good armor.
  25. Right. I see your point. I tried. Also, Mind you, the main flaw in EL's Economy is that it's also NPC's Generated Money Based! So long as EL's economy rotates on the fact that Gold is being constantly generated with no limit, that problem is going to be ever present! But I've already went into that in the Economy Thread so I won't bore you.
