  1. Money for invasions

Two persons, two opinions.... Wearing a rosto and good armors in an invasion is not compulsory, but it's advisable. I remember a guy who forgot wearing a rosto in an invasion and lost valuable armors. Several pr0 players made laughs of him when tried to get the Death Bag back. The last I heard about that guy is he rage quit EL. Doing invasions is not compulsory. Several mods don't do them or rarely and nothing happens....
  2. Money for invasions

Moderation in EL always was for free: "You don't become a moderator by asking to be one. We usually spot that you are helping a lot in the game, and are a kind, polite player. Someday we might ask you if you want to be one. But do not have your hopes set on it, don't act all nice and helpful just to become a moderator because you want some extra powers or think you will get any rewards from it. Moderators/newbie helpers do NOT get ANYTHING for free. They do what they do because they are good people who want to help a game they like!(well at least I hope that is why )" (Extracted from rules topic in this forum). On the other hand, I understand they share their time with the players when do an invasion. I don't go to the invasions, but seeing them from outside I think gifts from the players would be a double taxation: the "rosto tax" when they loose a rosto in the invasion and the money/items they gave for the invasion. Prolly would be better if Radu gives the mods a fixed gc amount for each invasion they do. Radu has his rostos, mods have some gc for sharing their time and the players have often invasions.
  3. I've heard players talking in the public channels about how hard is breaking some item in order to end the breaking quest (2 months, many months, even years). When I started to play EL was pretty easy breaking leather armor and iron swords (although I didn't want to break them), now I've been trying to break several pieces of armor and weapons for months (of course training in the more grief #days and doing it with the best astro for breaking too) without success. Prolly the server code is made so with more a/d levels and cross attributes is more difficult to break items. Could to be a good idea to add some info to the items we must to break for the breaking armors/weapons quests so examining them says something like that: "Titanium plate. Status: 90%" (by example). This way at least we can see the % is growing every day we train with it. Now breaking items is so random that we don't know if we will break them some day in the future or the breaking rate is bugged.
  4. Breaking quest.

You can tell whatever you want, but the facts are there: Breaking quests are money sinks and that is a fact because steel and titanium sets, and most of special weapons are cheaper in the NPCs (and will be money sinks in the future except if the prices of bindings, serpent stones, enrichment stones, enriched essies, etc crash in the market or Radu changes the prices). Both things (prices falling or Radu lowering them) are unlikely so will be gold sinks in the future.
  5. Breaking quest.

Point 1.- As always, revi says the opposite of everything I say... Prolly If I say "white" he/she would say "black" Well, as I know I'm not paranoid and heard in the public channels there are more players with problems to break items for the quests I did a small search in my logs and found some paragraphs about this: [17:51:20] [Littlebig @ 6]: I have still ti pants undoe, i tried soon 1 year break them and i wear them all the time, also now doing yetis [21:14:59] [Aquila @ 6]: the perk seemed so random on the breaks. at least with the cloak, you can still do break quests [21:15:37] [Tradon @ 6]: +1 Aquila [21:16:23] [Angler @ 6]: well, you can still do the breaks quest with the perk. might take a tad longer tho [21:17:32] [Aquila @ 6]: I had the perk took 2 years to break steel chain and ti chain, removed it and broke both in a few months [19:22:59] [Aquila @ 6]: steel armor and a halby, living on the edge today. astro is bad too [19:24:21] [Harlquin_Knight @ 6]: what is the advantage of sttel plate over titanium?, i thought tit was less emu and stronger [19:24:31] [dragon_killer @ 6]: other way [19:24:42] [dragon_killer @ 6]: i mean better armor but heavier [19:24:43] [Aquila @ 6]: ikd, just trying break this stuff [11:51:12] [Raz @ 6]: ooh another day in which to fail to break anything [17:19:38] [Raz @ 6]: lol well all i broke on the break day were 2 bones [17:20:49] [susje @ 6]: I had the best astro for breaking, was training all this #day and nothing broke. Something must be done with breaking quest [17:21:06] [Raz @ 6]: shit - I agree with susje! The fact you and rosabel don't see any problem with it doesn't mean that EVERYBODY think the same as you. Point 2.- You put words in my mouth that I haven't said. I don't want the NPCs don't sell any items. I want the NPCs sell items BUT NOT CHEAPER THAN THE INGS FOR MIXING THEM. The NPCs can be money sinks without ruining the life of players who have mixer chars. The steel and titanium armors actually are not profitable to mix from ings because the prices in the NPCs, and happens the same with most of special weapons. If any way of breaking items counts for the quests, the breaking would be random still because a BROD doesn't break an item in the first hit (by example) nor the blacksmiths break a 100% of every item they try to repair. At least with more ways to break the items, the randomness would be acceptable. Some months or years training for breaking 1 item without skeptic perk, without NMT perk, taking advantage of more grief #days and with the best astro for breaking is too much randomness (or a bug in the code, I don't know it).
  6. Breaking quest.

We have a problem (I think we agree that it's a problem and I'm not the only one with that problem, so we have it....), now we must to find a solution to avoid the players can't decide if in EL everything is insanely difficult to achieve or all the server code it's seriously bugged. Many valuable players (the ones who buy items in the shop) left EL already and some more are selling now their chars and storage to leave asap, creating more problems like rising prices, etc (but that it's another matter that I won't deal with in this post). If knowing how much time will need for breaking a specific item is soooo technically difficult, Wizzy wrote down a solution: Every possible way to break an item counts to do the breaking quests (break by fighting a mob or a player, BROD golden star mace or any items that degrade, acid rain, break by Heavybeard or Tankel trying to repair it....). As I see it, Radu wants many players play the game and spend money in EL and the players want fun playing it, not problems . Let's make happy to Radu and EL players at the same time: breaking more easily the players will be happy, some gc will leave EL with that broken armors/weapons and with less gc in the game the chance the players use $$$ to buy more items will be higher.
  7. Breaking quest.

Are you serious? Maybe for you +2 accuracy, +2 armor and a perk that removes accuracy astrology penalties is marginal, but for many players (not only me) is important. What would cost in pps (and in gc or $$$) having all that without doing the quest? I'm not a fighter, but I think that would cost a good amount. On the other hand, I guess I'm not the only one thinking something is not well in the breaking rate because I've heard many times it costs many months breaking just 1 item. Maybe a rich player could to make an alt from the start and give it all the armors, weapons to break, CoLs or RDHoLams, HEs, SRs, etc and break all faster than a char with a better build but I think nobody with a developed char would reset it just because the breaking quests seem impossible to end. I think it's better supporting the players who are playing now EL and avoiding more and more players get frustrated by things like this and leave EL. Better improving the quests and every part of the game so the players love EL and don't hate EL. As far I know, few programmers know really the server code (Radu and maybe Learner) so it wouldn't be strange if there is a bug in the code that makes breaking items very difficult in some combinations of attributes, perks, cross attributes and whatever. Remember the iron helms: they were in the Daritha daily armor supplier quest for years, but didn't work because there was a bug in the code. Only after Radu checked the logs and asked in the channels if the iron helms were usual in the quest was discovered the bug.
  8. Setting NPC prices higher?

I doubt any item (crafting, alchemy, manufacturing, etc...) sold in the NPC will be removed. They are money sinks to remove gc from EL. Radu thinks the players have too much money and EL needs money sinks to solve that problem. Sadly, I think the tendency in EL is making more quests that use mixable items and selling (and limiting prices) more and more of that items in the NPCs. That will make the mixers more and more useless in the game because a mixer can't compete with a NPC selling cheaper than the ings. What will be the future of EL? Who knows? But a possible nasty future could to be just a few top fighters with bought chars, without mixers (because mixing would be unprofitable) and without bots because with the NPCs selling cheap all the items in EL (except maybe rostos, haidir passes and another shop items) bots would be unprofitable too. Edit: Prolly I'm wrong. Would exist some bots: The ants!!!
  9. Setting NPC prices higher?

Soviet style system. Good definition. I couldn't express it better.
  10. + 1 to this idea. Would be good if Buni tells what items must be broken still.
  11. Setting NPC prices higher?

Yes, it's time consuming but it must be done. If Radu does nothing and waits until the inflation miraculously vanishes itself, that never will happen. Radu has all the resources to solve the problems in EL so he must solve them, not the players. To wait sitting while the $$$ rain over him from the shop is not a good solution for the future of EL. An example: I remember when rostogol price went up and he wanted many players buy a big amount of rostos in the shop to sell them cheap in the bots.... So funny he wants the players loose money (ang give him $$$) to solve the problem that he can solve fast just changing a number in the server code (the % rate of finding a rosto harvesting/mining/fighting). Trying to balance the economy can be a failure (or a success) but if nothing is done is 100% sure will be a failure.
  12. Setting NPC prices higher?

It sounds pretty ironic to me when a mod blames the inflation and some players for all the things are working bad in EL. Radu controls the "water tap": he controls the % rate a rare item is dropped when you are harvesting/mining or the % rate you get an enriched essence or rare item when you are mixing. Then if he controls that, he can control the inflation in EL. If there is too much inflation in a specific rare item, he can change the % so that item is more common and less scarce and inflation ends. Of course If Radu doesn't want inflation..... If he wants to sell more rare items in the shop, probably inflation is good for the sales.
  13. Setting NPC prices higher?

I doubt any player buy enriched essies, bindings, enrichments or serpent stones from the shop. Knowing the actual gc/$ rate would be very expensive. On the other hand, If EL keeps loosing mixers (and their bots) that would remove a source of income for Radu. In this moment, there are 134 players online and 210 bots online. That bots pay 20$ as fee every year (when I started to play, the fee was 10$. The fee rised a 100 %). If mixing is not profitable, prolly they will stop paying the fee. Make calculations about the $$$ EL could to loose.
  14. Setting NPC prices higher?

Yes, having an NPC with fixed prices for rare items, like binding stones and enriched essences, would help mixers. Will be a challenge to figure out at what level to set these prices though. At a level where a mixer can create the item from ings buying the rares in the NPC and the final price is under NPC's price and provide some profit too. By the way, rising the money Zhena gives for each ring in the daily quest was a step in the right direction....
  15. Setting NPC prices higher?

I know mixers don't loose rostogols while they are mixing and they gain gc selling their items so I suppose Radu prefers the fighters to the mixers.... But many mixers have bots where they sell the items that mix, and pay the yearly bot fee so they support EL too. I think mixers are an important part of EL and must be supported so they can play EL as they want (mixing and creating items for another players). I think NPCs selling items is not bad, but it's not necessary to harm the mixers selling that items cheaper than the ings. If changing the prices in the NPCs is not a good idea, why not selling rare ings (bindings, serpents, enriched essies) in the NPCs for a fair price? If the price is enough low, the mixers can mix and sell the items and the price will be under NPCs' price.
  16. Setting NPC prices higher?

    - It seems to me you are saying the NPC prices are bad and you know it, but nothing will be done to change that. - Making s2es now has no sense, because only a few players risk loosing a rosto for harvesting hydro with Stivy, alts and friends camped in the hydro route. With no buyers for s2es, mixing leather is the only way for grinding manufacturing skill? Good luck reaching the recommended level for dragon armors just mixing leather helms..... - One player can't control the market. Several ones tried it in the past without success. Only Radu can control it because he can change the % for getting bindings, serpent stones, enrichments, the % for getting an enriched essence and the prices/items bought and sold in the NPCs. If Radu wants to rise the amount of gc leaving EL when the players buy from NPCs, ok but at least sell bindings, serpents, enrichments and enriched essences in a NPC too. He's selling them in the shop, but the prices there are so expensive that I think nobody buy them from the shop for mixing armors/weapons. At least selling the rares in a NPC, the mixers could to grind the skill without creating inflation ingame.
  17. Setting NPC prices higher?

Then at the end, you are saying we are right and you are wrong: The armors and weapons' prices wouldn't skyrocket if mixing them were profitable. It would be the opposite: the prices would go down and that would be good for all the players (mixers, fighters and even harvesters). If Cherut, Rabbitman, Bankay and another players mixed 20-50 at a time when mixing them was loosing money (just for getting a rare version of that armor/weapon), how many would be mixed if that were profitable? 100-200 at a time? With so many in the market, the price would go down fast. You are wrong again when you say mixing leather helms is the way to reach high manufacturing levels. I've grinded myself my manu level from 0 to 118 and know well how to do it (probably better than you). Mixing leather helms could to be useful for getting some levels when you are starting, but in higher levels you need to mix better items (swords, armors) or grinding would be too slow (leather helms have 45 as base manufacturing experience).
  18. Setting NPC prices higher?

You are wrong. If making weapons (from titanium/steel long sword to jagged saber) and armors (steel, titanium, bronze) were profitable, several mixers would make them so => many weapons and armors in the market and bots so => prices would drop because too much offer and low demand. The market would self-regulate itself. With the actual NPC prices, many manu items are not profitable to mix and there is a gap between Iron armors and dragon armors: the manu items between are not profitable to mix. What will do a newbie manufacturer for grinding the skill? Mixing millions of leather helms in the school? Now mixing s2es is not an option because harvesting hydro is very difficult because Stivy and friends
  19. Setting NPC prices higher?

I support your idea. NPC prices are good for limiting the price of every item ingame, but items from NPC that cost less than the ings for mixing them is bad for EL and the players. The NPC prices should not be fixed but changing according the changes in the ings' prices. Or maybe some important ings like Enriched essences, bindings, stone serpents, etc should be sold in the NPCs too.
  20. Storage sale.

Added cooked meat and phoenix glyphs.
  21. Storage sale.

    Added EMPs and GHPs.
  22. Storage sale.

    Added another 5K creature food.
  23. Scammed Asclepius char issue.

Good work, stouxy. That multani deserved that for robbing a friend. I hope he doesn't play EL never. EL would be better without him and his henchmen.
  24. It's fair, because I would buy gc or chars from everyone except from you and your alts/friends (multanex, asclepius, koizu).
