Well a HTTP proxy should not affect the game at all Sincerely yours Lachesis

If the veins carry enough ore so that it cannot be taken in a time the beginner needs to harvest 1-2 ore: No. Multiple players will probably still be able to harvest from the same vein. Sincerely yours Lachesis

Well, one can make something like socks transparent I don't know if that MS stuff supports transparency, though. Anyway we are discussing without knowing whether our statements are relevant to the topic at all

Hi, I get often disconnected because of a serious lag when changing maps (I have a poor machine currently). Probably this is due to a server timeout when waiting for some message from the client. However, I would not cry one tear about this if reconnecting did not lock up the client and make the kernel draw nearly all CPU resources. But the combination of both is serious pain. Can you help me? With regards Lachesis

Keep your chin up Wytter With kind regards Lachesis

I put it into italics because I did not want it to be mistaken for a "new word". Could you please PM me the backgorund details? I have never heard of these name changes.

Well our university saves a lot of money using a www proxy, and our students save a lot of time due to it ... anyway, this is off topic. Thank you for your information, let's find out what is wrong with Captain's "proxy". I guess ISA is rather a router+filter, maybe +NAT. However, I don't know much about Microsoft's networking products, so please tell me what kind of proxy you are talking about, Captain, and if it was ISA what ISA does do, Leeloo, so that I will be able to help you.

I still don't get the point.

Psychological issues of gender in Eternal Lands

Iq fiskmås.... LoL Inte snällt men roligt  Please translate. Regards Lachesis -
That's already a problem with monster spawns. However, if you want resources to be limited, you won't be able to avoid this except if you limit in any manner the amount that one character can harvest. IMHO it is OK that people occupy spawns. If we want a market, then there need to be some buyers. If there are too many (place word for person with mining profession here), of course they will get into trouble getting their income, and they should. That's the way economy works. Solution is simple: the spawns could show the amount that is left. Either by changing their appearance or by displaying a number/bar above it, just like material points of animals. Or even both. Maybe they could even restore slowly so that there won't be 1-unit-veins that will never be harvested. Sincerely yours Lachesis

Thought: then mining would still be sit and wait. Comment: No! I don't want that at all. But that's just me and in addition, I guess you already knew my opinion P.S. Please note that flames are only welcome in flames forum.

I hope you don't want to say that proxies are all evil :-) ISA: Instruction Set Architecture, Induystrial Standard Architecture, ... what else? What does that "MS Proxy Server" do? Why is there no "Cross-Post + Follow-Up" in a forum? Lots of questions, I am sorry. With regards Lachesis

Psychological issues of gender in Eternal Lands
Lachesis replied to Lachesis's topic in Miscellaneous
So the most popular reason for choosing a character of opposite gender is to be treated like a person of opposite gender yes? Sounds interesting to me, maybe I will try that out And btw: if anyone is a guy and no guy wants to help you, don't hesitate to pm me -
Psychological issues of gender in Eternal Lands

I took this right off LEO online dictionary as a figurative clause for "starting to listen curiously". If that would be "perking", then LEO is wrong. I'm sorry. Edit: I changed it into the other term now. -
What kind of proxy is this? POP3/IMAP? HTTP? SOCKS? Ore are you talking about a router/firewall maybe? If properly set up, neither of them should be a problem. Please give us further information. Sincerely yours Lachesis

perking up her ears What are the popular reasons? -
I think that at this point we might be ready for a consensus. Or, let's say to gain majority.

less names. more words.

<idea>PK-Able should include attributes penalty on non-PK maps</idea>

laughing out loudly Yes, probably. We will flood the market with enriched items if we get the chance of 1/2500 instead of 1/5000 to make them. Prices will probably drop down to a three-digit-value. Believe me, they will. Sorry Malaclypse, but that's nonsense. Demand is currently at least 3 times as high as offer. So even if we managed it somehow to double the offer, there would still be a serious drain. With regards Lachesis

Well maybe it's not fun to you because you are just thinking about what you will do with the ore, forgetting that harvesting them should be joy as well. If you think its more fun sitting and wait, I can't explain. But if the value of ore increases and you have to look for it, you will be happy when you find an untouched, opulent vein. Sincerely yours Lachesis
