I think both ideas are good and will add something the game doesn't already have. The more stuff added to break up the tedium of the leveling grind the better. I know it's a lot of work to design and implement both but I'm not saying I'd want to see both things tomorrow, just kind of wondering if voting for one means we'd never see the other idea in game.

+1 groomsh. maybe you can't see these things because you don't think its a good idea. Not everyone plays for a giant reward, some do treat this as a social game to have fun with the people they like. The game needs more things to break up the grind grind grind. Considering how many people on thread, in 6, and in PM have said that they think this would be fun, I don't think there will be a problem in making teams to go. As for skill....again, build your team wisely.

don't go afk if you are on queue to do PVP instance? Or maybe there can be a sound warning for when the instance is ready. Like the microwave

i have 2 ideas 1: You are not auto teled to the PVP map. You are informed by a pop up box that your instance is ready, then you go and get ready then check in w/ the npc who teles everyone into the map once everyone checks in. 2: If you are auto teled into the instance, the PVP map starts in a room w/ a sto that you can get ready in. Once you leave that room you can't enter again.

I see radu and korr arguing about 2 different things which could be made into 2 different types of instances if people are patient and radu has time. 1- Korr's idea of quick PK battles w/ a random queue. Maybe have the winners be decided by best 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5 (or more) short battles once the teams are picked. 2- Radu's idea of something that would take more strategy. Something like capture the flag (like he mentioned in the first post) where there are 'flags' at each end of the map that the teams have figure out how to guard theirs while getting the other teams and getting back to safety. I'm not a PKer at all, the only thing I've ever killed is an unlucky ant who caught me on a bad day, but I would try both those types of instances.

Ants are finding pears and grapes, there should be a better way to get them from the ants to be used for the global quests. ATM the choices are to stalk the ants till they go to PK, camp the ant piles and hope they drop it, or try to kill them with summons. Maybe its time for the ants to go to the test server....or be PKable anywhere.

yep that would totally add fun and enjoyment to the game. good idea! oh oh or better yet, make them announce they are dropping them at a certain spot, something easy to get too so it can be a spectator sport, and then have everyone who gathers around watch the ant sit on the bag for 12 minutes and poof the item. Fun fun fun stuff.

I don't want to spend hours chasing around for just a 50% chance of a nice item. Maybe the neno can drop different items always, something other then the day stone, but there isn't really anything else community based in the game right now for it to drop.

If it breaks up the monotony of grind grind grind on the levels and give people something to actually use their skills for then it's a good idea worth some consideration.

Buying XP and chars isn't the answer. The answer is to know that this is a game that takes more then a week to level in and accept that and not try to treat it like some other game you can finish in a month. No more band-aids for people who don't want to actually PLAY. There are quests and plenty of special days that already help everyone level. If you want to PK with people and not get squashed, find your own level and a quiet pk spot and go at it. Thinking that someone who started yesterday will catch up with people who have been playing for years is fairly childish. Leveling faster isn't the answer to making sure people don't get bored, its having things to actually do with your skills and stuff like that is being added almost every update.

First off, everyone meet Tux, the Linux spokes penguin. On 4/23/11, in honor of World Penguin Day, the LNX guild will be holding a day's worth of events. We hope to have the events scattered throughout the entire day so as many time zones as possible can join us in the fun.
